Beautiful place with amazing views of down town Los Angeles. Great artists took the stage there. Wonderful music! Unfortunately it is closed due to corona virus and all performances are canceled. That building looks great at night time and during the day. Highly recommended to visit it at least once. Hope one day it will open its doors again and welcome artists and spectators.

I have been to this place several times and its a nice place to hang out, catch up with friends, meet people. I like the layout of the place, great ambiance and I absolutely love the music here. It has an upscale feel so if you want to go a little fancy Id highly recommend Music Center Club.

A revitalized Music Center Plaza is truly the heart of the performing arts Center in downtown Los Angeles. Right between the Walt Disney concert Hall to it south, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the mark tapper to the north hand the colburn School of Music to the east this is a must-see for every visitor. if you live in Los Angeles you have no excuse not to have come here. Christmastime is an especially Magic time to visit.

And I guess its slightly unfair to rate the bars pretentiousness on its clientele. I still wouldnt hang out there, but would certainly rent the place out for an event.

There really is nothing like going to thing Dorothy Chandler To see a musical or large scale play. The waterfalls run and they even have some outdoor eating some is covered the food is not fabulous. They actually have an outdoor food vendor I will call it that makes delicious tacos theyre easy to eat theyre light... And the price is right. Theres also plenty of tables outside just bundle up because its still cold out there right

The Music Center at the cultural Hub of Los Angeles. With its for enormous concert venues, the Music Center presents culture like nowhere in the United States. Architectural e it is a masterpiece, sonically each venue has superb Acoustics, the presentation of each venue on their own is mind-blowing, before been used together, probably like nothing on the planet. The Music Center is the crown jewel of Los Angeles is cultural Elite, but is open to all!

I finally got to see the Alvin Ailey Ballet last night at the Dorothy Chandler. Words does not describe the flawless, riveting performance. Our seats were perfect. 3rd level, door 31, row H, rear seats 1 & 2. No one bumping us or passing through. You wantes to sit up high in order to take in alllll of the movement on the stage. When you have a chance to see this performance...run dont walk to purchase tickets. Mine were only 60 a piece. There was a pre show talk with the choreographer. It was free to ticket holders. Afterward there was a cocktail soiree following the show. Kinda meet and greet. It was $75pp. Parking was only $9. Not bad. There is limited street parking. Uber is always a great option or Metro. There are many fine restaurants available if you care to dine before or afterwards. Be warned...MAKE A RESERVATION. There are many performances going on simultaneously at the adjacent theatres and centers. So plan ahead.

Wonderful place to find the highest quality entertainment. 4 separate buildings, Ahmanson for Broadway, London and musicals created here. Mark Taper Forum for interesting and often award winning plays. Pavillion for L A Opera and high quality ballet and modern dance. Last is the Disney where the Philharmonic and Master Chorale perform. Also Red Cat for new plays and dance. Everything in 2 blocks.

Containing a three theatre complex within the frame of a plaza, the grounds are well maintained. However, the parking structure underneath the three theatres are owned and operated by a private firm charging an absorbent amount for parking way below sea level that it can take you a minimum of 30 minutes from the theatre to your vehicle! Also, the paid usher staff lacks knowledge of the running times of each show regardless of which theatre Im attending.Since all three theatres as well as Disney Hall are owned by the County of Los Angeles, each theatre saves a group of house seats (prime, aisle seating) for every performance for government officials and VIPs. These tickets are available at no cost to them. Its odd considering they can afford the cost of a ticket based on the high salary...well, tax dollars at work here - corruption!

This venerable institution is getting a facelift over the next year or so, and it definitely impacts the experience of attending a show in any of the three theaters. Just be prepared to leave a little early and dont let it stop you from going to any of the marvelous upcoming shows - if you go to the Ahmanson, be sure to check out the history of the shows that have played there by walking along the wall on the entrance level. Many world class artists have trod these boards - and continue to do so today. Dont miss out!

I am only rating The Music Center based on my experience with guest services and ticketing.Tickets for a child to see The Nutcracker should not be double or triple ($40+) the cost for my ticket as a college student ($20).Because they will not sell us a student ticket for my child who is in elementary school, and because they do not sell tickets priced for children, we cannot afford to go.Student ticket prices are for *poor* students, which we are. Very disappointing :/

I love the fact that they keep this entire building well air conditioned. With all the lobbies having an abundance of natural light, it needs it.The decor reminds me of my Grandmas house from the 70s. Avocado green carpeting and bronze wall sculptures. However, the sound in the hall is amazing. Its a very simple auditorium. Plus, it has plenty of restrooms.(Shh- The backstage door is located stage right—if you ever desire to meet the actors.)

During the summer, the music center offers a variety of free events that get a bit crowded but is for everyone. My favorite event is Dance Downtown where each week you learn a different dance for free. They offer Bollywood, Salsa, K-pop and more. I recommend coming as early as possible because as the night goes on it gets difficult to learn the dance because there is no room. You can bring a picnic with alcohol or buy food from the 2 concession stands at the Music Center (Mexican and sandwiches). They also have a full bar available. Parking is very limited so you will have to pay for the lot.
