The Lunar Escape room was AMAZING, extremely interactive, very well designed and the really makes you think. Luke and John were great GMs and probably one of the more elaborate and well thought out room. Not too difficult where we needed much assistance however the puzzles were very fun and the multiple room design gave it an ominous tone with the dark setting and pressure for time. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you John and Luke for the great experience and 11/10 service!

Great theme. No mood-breaking voice over clues, but a very in-theme way to keep you on track. All the clues foot within the theme as well. They can be tricky but are very fair, definitely not the hardest of the hard, but sufficiently challenging to be fun! Puzzles dont come off as arbitrary, either. Overall, one of the best escape rooms around.

The Stash House may very well be the best room I have ever played in over 100 rooms. It has fantastic puzzles and a non linear approach so there is always something for everyone to do. The room follows a very cohesive story and completely immerses the players. Normally when I get out of a room I always have ideas for how I would improve them or for things I want changed, but with one I dont think there is a single thing that I would touch here. The owner is also one of the coolest people you will meet in the industry. I had a fantastic time discussing rooms and picking his brain about how he designed the room and what he thinks about rooms in general. His background in film is very apparent in the set design. This escape room IS Los Angeles. Go see what Im talking about today

What a great way to break my escape room cherry! This EXPERIENCE was extremely well thought out and planned. From the moment you enter the room until the end are jammed packed with fun and excitement. Puzzles and trivia have always been my favorite form of entertainment, but with this new world thrust upon me I might have to start doing this weekly. You can feel the pressure as time starts to wind down, and I am so glad we solved it with just a few minutes left because I DO NOT like to lose. The creators of this world are worth mentioning because they help create a world so enthralling that I want to tell everyone to go check it out, Thanks Don and his team.

Ive done somewhere in the range of 40-50 escape rooms and I think the Stash House may just be the top one for me. The puzzles were both fun and challenging, requiring logical thinking but not so obtuse that you get stuck for a long period of time. Non-linear design was also great so that if you were feeling stuck in one place, you could make progress in another - and so your whole group doesnt have to all crowd around one tiny piece of paper! Great atmosphere and attention to detail with the theme. Would absolutely recommend!

Stash House was me 7th escape room, and by far the best... by a large margin. From the moment you walk up to the entrance, youre met with a theme that stays the same throughout. I went to this room with a group of escape room newbs (many in our party of 6 had never done one before) and the room was extremely engaging and SO FUN. It forced us to work together with different people solving different parts of each puzzle (we were all buzzing and rotating around the room discussing puzzles with each other). We were able to solve the puzzle so definitely check it out even if you haven’t been to an escape room before (I know seeing reviews from escape room experts can be intimidating)!! The space is amazing and everything serves a purpose. It’s a unique story and there are a lot of cool mechanics at play.

Such a cool escape room!!! Ive played ~20 escape rooms and Stash House has some of the most innovative puzzles Ive ever encountered-- we were challenged to think outside the box, but never stumped or frustrated for too long.Theres also a very creative clue system integrated into the game, and our cluemaster Ryan did an awesome job reading the room and helping my team along without us having to break immersion and awkwardly ask can we have a clue?I also liked that the flow of the game allowed for our team to divide and conquer different puzzles simultaneously. Even though I didnt really follow the puzzles that my teammates were working on separately, cluemaster Ryan was super patient and happy explain everything to me afterwards. All in all, this room is super fun and Im so glad I got to do it!

I am approaching 100 escape rooms completed around the world and I have to say this is probably the best one I have ever done. The space is huge! We were a team of 4 but it probably would not have felt too crowded even if we had 6 or 8. Almost none of the set decoration in this stash house is there just for fun or to be a red herring--everything you see is used in some puzzle eventually. Everything about this experience is really neat from the arrival to the debrief to the videos to the grand finale. This escape room is an absolute must do for any fan!

So, Ive never really done an escape room. My friends got me this as a birthday gift and it ended up exceeding my expectations. The premise of the story is great: youre in a drugpins apartment. find the cocaine and flush it down the toilet before the cops come. they message you clues if you need it. it had so many HIDDEN levels and areas I never wouldve known about just walking it. So well thought out and designed. It took them around a year to build it. only con is street parking... in that respect, it may be harder than the game itself :)

I have played at least 15 escape rooms and they range from excellent to terrible. I heard great things about Stash House, so I went in with very high expectations... and it did not disappoint. This is the best escape room I have played! I don’t want to give away any of the surprises, so I won’t be specific, but it is VERY well designed. Lots of creative clues that are challenging, but solvable. The buildout of the space is great, with several surprise areas to explore once you earn your way to them. You can tell the passion and time that went into designing and building the whole thing. My whole group was very impressed. And they run it the way an escape room should be run. They offer guidance through text messages when you’re missing something, so that you don’t spend way too much time stuck on something you overlooked, making it a much more fun experience. If you are an escape room enthusiast, you really need to check out Stash House. But it is not among the most difficult ones (which are often difficult because of a bad design), so first timers will love this too.

Conceptually its actually the opposite of an escape room as youre ultimately trying to break INTO the bathroom to gain access to the toilet so you can flush the drugs before time runs out and the door back out to the street is always open. Nice variety of different types of puzzles and I definitely appreciated that you dont need any sort of outside knowledge to solve any of the puzzles. A few of the puzzles required actual teamwork with people in different locations having to communicate to solve them. Great concept and execution.

Marvelous, marvelous, marvelous! Ive done about 100 room escapes and Stash House is a real treasure. Whats great about it is that there is a lot of curb appeal: at first glance, you see a really straightforward and clean on-boarding, tons of different kinds of tasks and puzzles, and nothing extraneous or sloppy. But then afterward when you think back on your experience you go, Wow that was a really amazing detail. And that other thing, that was practically like magic. And wow, I cant believe that thing also! Tommy has created something extraordinary and many other room escape hosts would do well to take note of his level of craftsmanship, discipline, and fun. Highly recommend to escape hounds of any level. DO NOT leave LA without doing Stash House!

After having played over 280 escape rooms, one of the major things I found lacking in the industry were escape rooms with comedic elements, especially in a market saturated with horror/thriller games. Stash House is abosolute proof that an escape room can balance the two to create a uniquely thrilling and humourous adventure that feels entirely real. Throughout the game, players will engage with the set in highly original manner, made all the more engaging by the authentic feeling of the props and look of the space. At 90 minutes, this escape room is abosolutely packed with inventive, logical, and fun content that offered its fair share of surprises, and at no point did we feel the escape room hit a roadblock in the puzzle flow. Stash House is an masterpiece of an escape room, one that is likely to be one of the highlights of any trip out to Los Angeles.

I wouldnt say Im an Escape Room enthusiast, in the sense that Im somewhat new to the whole idea, but Ive been through enough of them to have an opinion. Stash House is easily the best experience Ive encountered so far. When Ive gone to other rooms, Ive found that you generally only have as many as two puzzles that can be solved concurrently. In a small group that can work, if youve got 2-3 people per puzzle, but Ive always been combined with at least nine other people and its rare if theyre all sober during night games. Thats not the rooms fault, but it gets a little annoying to solve puzzles with five people—especially if any of them are drunk.Stash House keeps the group size down and always had at least three puzzles to solve at the same time, so 2-3 people could approach each one and usually someone could run around sharing information betweens members of the group. This made the experience much more fun and the game easier to play. And by easier I mean in terms of mechanics, not challenge.Stash House provides a solid challenge in regards to its puzzles, and some very creatively-integrated technology. The game mechanics take very little time to work out and understand and your group will split up to solve each puzzle in a natural way. As you all discover things and see how they fit together, youll come together as needed to reach each solution. Its very rewarding this way, and the experience sets you on an exciting and dynamic obstacle course of the mind that leads you where you need to go without making you feel like youre riding a cart on rails. But one of the coolest parts of the experience is that its a bit more immersive in how the game is presented to you outright. Id be more specific, but if you dont already know I think its a nice surprise. The creators of Stash House put together an escape room that can make you feel like the premise is real and so is your part in it, rather than taking a step onto an elaborate sound stage that looks nice but seems fake. And everything works, which I have not been able to say about every other room Ive been to. Technology can be unpredictable at times, so I wouldnt judge a room for a glitch here and there anyway, but you can tell when certain creators required an absurd (or near-impossible) level of precision to employ the solution to the puzzle. Ive solved a puzzle with plenty of time before, only to think I hadnt solved it because the room didnt respond like it was supposed to. In theory, the room operators should be there to help in that situation but that doesnt always happen. Stash House doesnt have unnecessarily complicated mechanics and never really had a chance of encountering this type of problem. That makes for a better, more enjoyable experience (in my opinion).Overall, this was a great room. The only thing I wish—as I do with any of the great ones—would be the ability to play again without knowing the answers. I think that variable escape rooms will emerge soon (I think there are a few already), and I wouldnt be surprised to see one from these guys in a future endeavor.

Just like most of the reviews are saying, this is an awesome room! One of my favorite so far! Everything about the room was so meticulously designed I was just in awe. They planned out everything people would do in escape rooms and even planned out how we would think. There were some moments where I had an opinion about the room but learned afterwards that we were meant to think that way. Maybe they should write a book on escape room psychology! The game itself had quite a few of the best team puzzles. Some were possible doing it solo but having more people made each puzzle easier for sure. Team play is definitely a must when you end up going, The 90 minute game didnt feel cramped at all. Its one of the largest rooms Ive played. The puzzles fit the theme almost perfectly and I couldnt and still think of any improvements I would make. Room after room I was so glad it never ended.Im not as good as I thought at escape rooms but I keep coming back and so far almost 30 completed. This I think is objectively the best escape room so far. The amount of planning and refining for the room and puzzles is what makes it so good. The owners paid such close attention to us to help us. Which show how much they truly care about their game and try to improve on it as much as possible. Thank you Stash House!

Team Wiz Lab (Wizards Labyrinth) had some JITB early on Saturday morning in preparation for facing the Stash House escape room. We learned that drug king pin Ray had a test for us if we wanted to join his crew. Thankfully we passed!Tommy Honton, one of the creators was our Game Master and he was awesome. One of our members is in a wheelchair and most of this room is wheelchair accessible. Tommy went out of his way to help us include this member in the game. The immersion factor is very high in the Stash House with the puzzles being numerous and challenging. (Just an FYI, that blank steel rollup door, yes, thats the place. No exterior signage actually adds to the immersion.) Everything fit the story and there were constant surprises and some great aha moments. Stash Houses use of technology is awesome without overshadowing the game or the story and their clue delivery system is simple but clever and effective. Although we are relative newbies (this is room #4 for me personally) it was by far the best. Do yourself a favor and book a game. You will need at least 4-5 people (if they are all experienced), more if you have newbies like we did. There were 9 of us and more than enough room and activities to keep everyone busy. The space is open and large enough for a large group to spread out. While the atmosphere is a bit foreboding it isnt scary and comes in at about PG-13 for drug reference. Even younger teens could participate in this room. For reservations go to StashHou.se . Please let them know you were referred by Team Wiz Lab.Full disclosure: Stash House comped our tickets for this game but I would have been happy to pay the entrance fee.

Whether you’re a an escape room afficianado, or totally new to this kind of experience, Stash House is an excellent investment of 1.5 hours. The puzzles are unusual and surprising, the story is much richer than most escape rooms I’ve been in, and the quality of the set and props is very high.Of note is that you’re not actually trying to escape per se, but searching for bags of drugs before the cops arrive, hoping to flush them down a toilet (yes, you actually get to do this) and destroy the evidence.A big thing for me in escape rooms is whether the puzzles are all basically boring codes and cyphers, or if they take advantage of the physiciality of the genre. Stash House makes full use of your, senses, using music puzzles, incorporating touch, even employing smell in interesting ways. Of course you have the standard tropes of combination locks and the like, but for the most part, the game is fresh and exciting.
