Needs Improvement. The virtual reality experience is very fun and cool but it should last longer. The whole experience is 20-25 minutes long. That includes preparing you for about 10 minutes or more. The virtual reality experience I bought was fun to watch but you didnt really do anything. It was like watching a short clip in a headset....thats basically all that needs improvement. Overall its pretty cool to move your character, see the world around you, and see other characters but once again there is room for lots of improvement. I would only suggest this is you want to see something fun for about 5-10 minutes.

If you want to experience Virtual Reality, you got to do it right and Dreamscape is the place to experience it. Located in Westfield Century City Mall. It’s amazing what they have done and provide an experience like non other. One is transformed into a different world instantly and the expressions of WOW! are very common in the room.Dreamscape has 6 screens and each session is about 20 mins. Purchase ticket online or in person. On line is preferred to get your own preferred timing and plan to be there 5 – 10 mins prior to complete the check-in. Tickets are approx.. $21.50 per head. Staff is very friendly. The area has merchandize and waiting area.No parking validation is provided.

It gets pretty expensive the larger your family is. It is $20 a person, so we spent $120 for about 10 minutes. The experience is cool, but it would be nice if it was longer. My VR headset kept turning off and had red lines all over, but I did not want to ruin it for the kids, so I waited til the end to say something. The employee gave us two free comp tickets because of that, so I guess that was nice, but we drove an hour and a half to get there, so I was bummed. The concept is cool. We did the Alien Zoo. It was kind of cheesy. The other ones might be cooler. Not sure if we will be back because the time for the amount is not worth it. But try it out for yourself.

Dreamscape gave us an amazing virtual interactive experience. Our family experienced each other as avatars in a virtual environment interacting with characters and objects. Very rich and immersive. A decidedly proactive 1st step into VR on a commercial level. I think the technology is still at nascent stage but the offering was very promising. The support staff was very accommodating, and had high level technological proficiency. That was demonstrated when I accidentally broke the goggles. They had me up and running immediately and kept the show on schedule. Highly recommend it. I think I would have given it one more star if the price was a little lower. Other then that it was 5 star in the presentation.

I am a VR enthusiast and I truly dont understand all these good reviews. They are most likely people who have never experienced any VR. I feel like this place baits you with an amazing lobby and then gives you a short, antiquated, non interactive vr show. To make matters even worse they stuff you into a room with several strangers. They even go as far as to put hand and foot trackers on you even though they mostly go unused. The entire experience is in one room and it is hardly better than what a Samsung gear VR offered 6 years ago. If you want an innovative and interactive VR experience that will blow your mind go to The Void. You are in a private group as long as you have 4 people. The actual game is over 20 minutes long. You traverse through several real rooms and interact with actual tangible items within the VR space. Reach out for that virtual gun you see on the wall and its really there! The Void is truly unique and absolutely puts Dreamscape to shame with the exception of their fancy lobby. Dont waste your money!!!

Dreamscape is amazing! Highly recommended! This upped my enthusiasm for VR in a big way. I liked that it was a group activity. Strapping a computer to our backs and sensors on our heads, hands, and feet was actually fun, and allowed for our avatars in the experience to be really convincing. The great graphics, storytelling, social aspects, and haptics made this the most immersive and realistic VR experience Ive had. Cant wait to go back!

This is a 5-star intro to VR, but for seasoned vets, the experiences are kind of mundane. The facilities are amazing--for those old enough to remember the Virtual Worlds Battletech Centers, they took a cue from that and created a waiting area that looks like a futuristic bar filled with artifacts from the various virtual adventures youre about to go on.The staff is great, and the customer service is incredible. When one of our party got booted out of the Alien Zoo experience due to a glitch, they totally refunded us and gave us free passes for next time.I would definitely take people here who have never tried VR before--the experiences are perfect for newbies. Most dont require a lot of interaction and arent very intense.Alien Zoo is kind of dull. There were a few cool elements to it, but overall it wasnt very interesting and didnt look very good.Curse of the Lost Pearl did some clever stuff with a bit more of an adventure narrative to it that requires some interaction with the world--Id like to see more experiences on this end of the spectrum.Unlike Sandbox VR or SPACES/Terminator VR, you dont leave with any videos or photos of your session to share on social media, etc. This seems like a lost opportunity.Overall Dreamscape shows a lot of promise. Perhaps the next generation of experiences will really shine at this location. Im also sure my opinion doesnt really represent the majority--as I do a LOT of VR, and for most this is their first taste. You can do far worse than this for your initial VR experience--I still recommend it.

I had seen this place multiple times while at the Century City mall and always meant to check it out. I finally got to experience it last weekend and had an amazing time.My friends and I came on Friday and chose to do the lost pearl adventure. They also have an alien zoo and an underwater one.Check in was quick and easy. You can buy your tickets ahead of time or at the place, but I recommend buying ahead if you want to do a specific one at a specific time because lots of time slots were sold out the night we were there. You check in on an iPad and select which avatar you want to use. I wish they had more options for the avatars because they all looked pretty much the same, but Im sure they will improve on that as technology allows them.Once you check in, theres a small waiting area. We waited in there until we were called to start our adventure. We were led back to a room where we suited up, with packs to power the VR headset, the headset, foot sensors, and hand sensors. From there, we went into the room where the experience took place. After a short explanation on how things worked from a staff member, we began. The lost pearl adventure itself was super fun and it was amazing to finally get to experience VR. It took about 10 minutes to complete the adventure, and you get to experience a variety of different settings during that time. My only complaints were that it was a bit short and the graphics could have been better. For $20, I definitely think that this place is worth it. All of us had a really fun time and I will definitely be back to check out the other adventures.

Dreamscape is an amusement center at Westfield Century City, LA. We came here on July 20, 2019. It was absolutely an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone I know. We experienced all 3 story-based full-roam virtual realities (VR) and it was fun. The employees are knowledgeable and they make you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. The gears are comfortable and easy to work with. They are very detailed and extensive with their explanation on how everything works. The whole VR experience is well thought out down to the smallest detail, including the experience itself. Dreamscape is highly recommended for kids / young adults. This is something everyone can enjoy.

My partner and I (well perhaps myself more) were excited to try out a new type of VR. I personally have a Rift, Rift S, Quest, Go and PSVR at home. So needless to say, I love VR. The experience itself was great, my issue was with the 4 other people we were with. They all claimed they had done it before, but spent most of the experience looking at each other and giggling. I realize that the venue cant force people to do anything, but perhaps offer adults only times so that the experience isnt ruined by others. Overall though, a great experience. I wish I lived in LA because Id love to try again.
