Fantastic place to spend a Saturday evening - they have three telescopes and show interesting films about space. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Ive gone to this observatory for years. My sons liked going when they were young too. Youll fall even more in love w the stars after looking through the telescopes. They put on nice shows for adults and older children.

Nice people, modern updated films, three telescopes, I saw saturn, the moon, and the Andromeda galaxy which will eventually eat the milky way, so remember to look up at night to watch this happen

This is a really cool place that I would highly recommend checking out. They have the telescopes out on nice nights where you can look through and the volunteers were incredibly helpful to talk to. They had a little seminar while we were there on Saturn which was interesting and all in all a hidden gem of Lincoln. Be sure to check out the hours they are open before you go and they said the telescopes are weather dependent, but they still do interesting talks and such. Well worth the visit.

They have multiple telescopes that you can look through and several fascinating videos on space that are shown every week. Its a good date idea of youre looking for something other than dinner and a movie and dont mind letting your inner nerd shine. You might want to check the forecast before hand though. If its drizzling, they wont expose the telescopes but they will still show a video or two and have people there who can answer many of your astronomy questions.

Stop by on Saturday evenings for a short film, a monthly star map, and a chance to peek at the sky through one of the outdoor telescopes. Free fun and education for all ages. Hosted by very knowledgeable volunteers. Donations accepted.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out the observatory for the first time tonight after driving clear across town we arrived at 10pm and the observatory is open til 11pm on Saturday at least that is what is stated on their website only to discover that the door was locked and when you try and call you just get a really long recording. Over all super disappointed hour should be posted accurately so people dont waste their time.

Unfortunately have to gjve it only two stars at this time because upon arriving when its supposed to open at 7pm, an increasingly growing line of visitors stood confused as it ceased to open up its doors. About 15 min in a very kind, and rightfully frustrated volunteer stood before the crowd stating that the supervisors need to unlock it and that this has happened before. Open one day a week, same hours basically year round and a supervisor cant unlock the place. Hopefully next time
