Beautiful spot for a stop over on my way out west. Walked down to a tent camping site with my gear. The sites are pretty close to each other but the campground was almost empty on a Thursday night, so I felt very secluded. Recommend for anyone camping cross country.

Great place for doing jet skiing, rideling the boat or enjoying the beach beside having camping locations and picnic.

Very pretty and well maintained campground. Sites have nice views of prairie with trees, or of the lake. I was happy their website showed pictures of the sites when reserving. I recommend staying there!

Pleasant place. Has a good tail that takes about an hour round trip. Many camping spots for tents or RVs. Has several small playgrounds, horseshoes, disk golf, boat ramp, beach, e.t.c.

We stopped here overnight in passing to Colorado from northern Iowa. We loved this place sooo much, and wanted to stay longer! We made reservations ahead of time.The campground is so beautiful. There are trees and shrubs between each campsite and it doesn’t feel like a parking lot like some other campgrounds where they pack you in. The lake is beautiful, the campsites are beautiful, and I can’t wait to stay again on our way back! I do wish they had water hookups though.

Ive been coming here ever since I was young every summer. The lake is a beautiful place, and great for fishing. I camp every time I go there. Theres spots for campers and RVs, as well as spots for tents. Theres a place to swim. Theres a dock to get out on the water. The place is decently maintained too. The nighttime is beautiful as the light pollution doesnt affect the area nearly as bad as everywhere else. They have fun trails to walk along. Not overly expensive in my opinion, so long as you stay a little while.

It was very nice indeed. Much cleaner than Ive seen in years! Although even though the temperatures are very warm today in the upper 90s the water was a bit cold and very very choppy but we had a good time anyway plenty of places to sit on the sand Park and swim. we will be back again.

Nice fire pits electric hook ups stalls to park in good fishing make sure you get your license yep the game warden will give you a ticket if you dont 25 a night for camping and electric take the family and kids have fun

A real beach near Lincoln? Yes!Im a native Michigander, and while Pawnee is no great lake, it was still a great place to barbecue hot dogs and swim. What I liked best was that it is clean, well -maintained and a great place to relax.

DGC fairways are narrow on 3-6. 9 is not mowed in the fairway. Just a walking path to the far right. Course is still playable.

Did a drive thru and am impressed with the facilities and beauty of this area. Will definitely be back!

The lake is beautiful and has more then one swimming beach. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the camping sites are very close together.

Beautiful little lake with great views. There is some small areas where you can swim and lots of places where you can have your bbq , camp, fish or get your boat in the water, honestly one of my favorite lakes out there!

It was a beautiful campground! There was plenty of space for our kids to play. The lake was great for fishing off the shore.

Nice little lake right outside Lincoln. Lots of families camping and picnicking. A little crowded on a Sunday afternoon in mid-July but thats to be expected. Also, it seems to be pretty clean.

Great place to watch the sunset with your dog.

My favorite lake Ive ever fished. I just wish they kept up the nasty a$$ bathrooms and weeds. Also, bass have to be 21 inches to keep?Thats a master angler. Unheard of! Stupid!!! The water was surprisingly very clean today. Caught some very nice size catfish for dinner. First pic is separate trip than the other 2 pics. Not too bad. :)

Beautiful place went camping there and it was quite peaceful and the other campers were nice and trustworthy just wish the bathrooms around the campgrounds were more sanitary

Best place for a fun day in the sun. Beaches and water are clean. Bathrooms available. Places to grill. Covered seating in places. Camping available.

I had the most peaceful 2 weeks Ive had in a long time. Nobody bothered me and i felt completely safe all by myself at night . The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. Even the bathrooms were acceptable and clean. A definite new weekend getaway spot for me!

Stopped here to get some sun and watch the boaters and skiers for a little while.

Game and parks dosent design the lakes best suited for fish to thrive they need more coves swimming areas terrible docks are located in the way of the best fishing area b o and pawnee

The only gripe I have is certain people that leave their garbage in the campsite. Im tired of picking up after them but if I dont then Ill have to look at it when Im camping there.

Used to be a great, quiet little getaway close to Omaha. Has started being overrun by obnoxious boaters.

The staff knew we had a 41ft trailer and put us in a spot that was long enough for sure...but it had two trees planted on either side of the entry way. In order to get between those trees I would have had to be able to pull 30 ft straight into the spot across the street.Absolutely impossible to use this spot.We couldn’t get a hold of anyone until after hours so we had to drive 2 hours away before we could find another campground with availability for the night.To make up for our inconvenience, the reservation department fought us on our refund request for 2 months.This place sucks.

I dig this place. Its a pretty sweet spot for camping, fishing, hiking, etc... and its not too busy most times. Great for winter camping because no one is there!

Nice pit stop along I 80. Was able to swim , camp with Electric, & run my dogs. Just watch for ticks. Found 4 of them on my dog when I left.

I will definitely visit again!

A short trip out of Lincoln and the swimming beaches are fun. Ive never had a bad experience here. Had a good time here camping once too.

I took some old bread out to feed the wildlife and was treated to see about 6 Bald Eagles sitting on the ice. I would definitely recommend going out while there is still ice on the lake and see this majestic bird

I love going out to Pawnee Lake just to get away and enjoy what God created. Me and my son like to go fishing and swimming there. we just went there on Fathers day and bbqed had a blast and there was a lot of people out there.

Very well maintained campground, nice fire pits, and a nice small lake nearby. In the summer heat, the wind off the lake was a lifesaver. The bathroom and showers were quote old and dark and frankly a bit frightening, but they were not disgusting.

Favorite lake near Lincoln to go and spread a picnic blanket out at.

Great for paddle boarding and kayaking. They have a good stock of bluegill and catfish.

It was a good place to camp it had alot of places to choose and you couldnt do wrong I recommend going there.

NEED A LITTLE TLC ON BATHROOMS , and SHOWERS.

Great place to camp. Lake was perfect, minus horse flies. There is only one bathroom by the lake view camp ground so be prepared to walk a little if you have to go. Camp sites are very large. We will definitely come back.

Spending as much time at the lake as possible is and will be the goal, I have eaten a good breakfast with my family at the restaurant in the park and we were surprised we were not required to get a day pass since we were only eating at the restaurant. Thanks...

You will have to ask several people for directions to get to the office because there are no signs. Once you get to the office you will be lucky if its open. There is no way to Camp or park anywhere without a permit. And if the office isnt open then clearly you cant get that permit. Obviously this Recreation Center is not set up for people out of the area.

Love the scenery, caught caught 4 different kinds of fish on minnows(didnt know they had crappie) bit got bluegill, catfish(guessin channel cat), crappie, and white perch

Very helpful young lady at office. A Very beautiful Park, all paved. Wide roads to sites. We missed the no water at sites tho so had to skimp on that.

Gorgeous, peaceful place. Campsites right next to the water with a soft breeze and a fire - doesnt get much better than that.

Needs cleaned up. And the West side beach needs to be extended and have rocks removed and sand added. It is better than it used to be.

Fished all night and enjoyed a nice cool dip in the water.

Its has a great swimming beach and there arent that many bugs. I would bring water shoes or some kind of foot protection because there are a lot of rocks in the water.

Fun place to get away for a weekend and jetskis on the water is a blast. They need to expand RV camping to the south side of the lake so you have access to the water. That would make this rating a 5 star.

Sheriff driving around the lake made it uncomfortable

Good place for some catch and release fishing. Just be warned boaters dont pay attention to the speed limit buoys. They can be a real nuisance if youre fishing off the shore.
