This is my favorite park! the trail is challenging but paved and shady so very nice to walk. my dog loves it and it is good for kids too! plenty of nice spots to stop. you can do many activities here including walking, running, biking and more. also lovely little beach area

We always enjoy this park.Good for Fishing HikingBoating Kayaking Grilling Picnicking They also have a little beach area where you can enjoy some sunny days or have kids play around.They also have a canteen by the beach with food, snacks and beverages.Park is usually very clean and plenty of spots to park your car.

Ive been coming here for years this is my happy little escape out of downtown Providence its close enough that it doesnt take too long to get to and its secluded enough that its quiet. I have went paddle boarding and swimming here but most of the time I just go hiking there isnt a crazy amount of trails but its perfect for getting out of downtown to connect with nature for just a little bit especially during the week when as well you want to do is go up north to New Hampshire Vermont or Maine.

Beautiful park. Take the family andkids. Sometimes people dont wear masks.

Beautiful park! We wanted someplace nearby to enjoy the autumn leaves without driving to Vermont or New Hampshire, and without being forced to hike. It was easy to think we were in the country rather than the middle of suburbia.

I like to come here for walks or to have a little picnic. I have also had birthday parties here (pre-covid19) and would defenitly recommend. I have only been to the lake once and only sat on the sand for about an hour (lunch break) but I wouldnt get in even if I had time....or allow my kids to go swimming here. The water just doesnt look no where near clean. For hikes and birthdays its perfect!

Clean, convenient and well maintained.This Park has it all: a small beach, a ground, plantation.Its the perfect place for any kind of outing.Very convenient to reach.No entrance fees and ample of parking available always.You can enjoy fishing, walking, jogging, running, kayaking, swimming, picnic, enjoy BBQ, play Frisbee, football or just practice any game in fields.Enjoy the serenity if youre a nature lover.Pretty crowded on weekends and on days with good weather.Park is completely closed in winter season.

Always beautiful every season ! I go mostly to take pictures. I am never disappointed ! Im not much of a beach person so I cant say much about the beach. Definitely a nice place to walk. Worth checking out for sure.

Awesome park it’s good for hiking climbing swimming picnics kayaking and horse back riding and etc .... it’s good place to spend time alone or with family and friends there’s plenty off benches and tables the place is very well maintained and it’s a good place for bike riding walking juggling... enjoy it

Lincoln Woods State Park is one of the nicest recreational parks located so close to an urban area that Ive experienced.The parks just 15 mins from Providence and feels authentically rural and away from it all.The place is well maintained, much larger than expected and offers a diverse choice of terrain for hiking, swimming or relaxing in a quiet and private spot.Definitely a great local resource, highly recommended!

Awesome place to spend the day. Use the beach, do some fishing or rent a kayak. Picnic tables and grills throughout the park. Have fun!

Great place to unwind...They have a swimming area, A small boat/kyack launch area, They offer picnic areas with a table and grills..some have small fire pits also. The circle around the pond for walking/running is 2.5 mi. I believe..Lots of spots to just relax and fish also...

Absolutely beautiful here . Lots of trees. Bike paths. Just a super happy place to chill and vibe with mother earth.

Awesome beautiful park! They close one side of the road for pedestrians. The walk around the park is about 3 ish miles I believe? The scenery in the fall is just beautiful. All the changing leaves and colors is gorgeous. The beach is closed in the fall, so ate the bathrooms. You can camp and rent out some park spaces. One thing they need is more trash cans. We saw many dog poop bags everywhere. People just liter. Great hiking trails.

Nice grounds, great for fishing, theres a nice swimming beach across the way. However Beware of the concession stand, super pricey. Also I was sitting on the beach with the baby and my nephew was trying to take a picture of the menu so he could show me that way I wouldnt have to bring the baby over there and the woman yelled at him to not take a photo. Its just a menu, why couldnt we take a picture. Instead she hands him a pamphlet that shows like five items when they have a pretty extensive menu.

Great bike trails. Only problem is the trails arent marked and dont coincide with TrailForks maps very well. Most of the trails are technical trails, even a lot of the green trails are more technical. Dont go expecting a lot of fire road or double tracks. Certainly expect technical, roots, rock gardens, and to get lost looking for a particular trail. Overall its a fun time.

Its a very beautiful place to visit. The area is well maintained and very peaceful. My family loves to come here. Our favorite place is the beach.

Beautiful, serene, clean, grounds are well taken care of, staff is very helpful and friendly. I have kayaked and canoes here, have walked and hiked here, theres so much you can do! Not to mention the water is beautiful....recently found a yoga in the woods that takes place here near the north side parking lot.....which is AMAZING! So I will be visiting a lot more now!

Great place for nature walks, or just for a fun day with family and friends. Ideal for different family-friendly activities. You can play, swim, kayak, or simply sit and rest and enjoy the view. There are hiking trails too. There are cooking spots. The bathrooms are kept well.

Park is great, water is great, but definitely bring a grill with food and drinks. The concession stand is crazy expensive. A lady in front of me ordered 5 lemonades and the total was $35 she was shocked. I asked for a can of soda cost $2.50 and I waited over 30 minutes. Dont recommend buying anything here slow service, and way too expensive. If you bring your own grill and food it only costs $5 for a permit.

Peaceful and serene, has lots of spots for quiet contemplating and reading...Of course a great place for a good jog

Good place for a 3 plus mile walk, its too civilized for a real hike. I would like rougher terrain. There were lots of others out on nice winter Sunday. Good roads with off road stretches makes it good for mountain biking.

This is a beautiful place with a beach for swimming, fishing, kayaking, trails for biking, walking & horses.

Ton of people withoutasks but staying pretty far away from each other. Large enough to have a nice hike without interference. Wish there were trash cans and less teenage party aftermath

Another one of the jewels of Rhode Island...on a good day theyre be plenty of walkers, runners and kayakers. Its got it all for outdoor people just wanting to relax.

It was a great place to have a cookout with friends! The cookout sites are really convenient and cute and the grounds were clean.

Ive gone six times in the past month and I enjoy my walks there. The mornings are quiet, but as the evening comes around thats when people go and play loud music, cookout parties, and more people. If you prefer quiet nature walk the earlier the better. Im looking forward to the fall to see the tree leaves change colors.

A nice state park. Lots of picnic tables and grills. A small beach. A boat launch. And a kayak school when there isnt a pandemic.The boat launch makes it really easy to get a kayak in and out of the water.

Exceptional Fall foliage mid October forward. Amazing large and small trails with different vantage points all around.We like to go weekly when the skies are a Vibrant blue. Somehow it makes Everything Pop!#RockFromRI Approved!

Well kept very diverse ecosystems. They have also been chipping downed trees which helps generate rich new soil. I could spend days wondering the many trails.

Finally its open to drive in very nice park for swimming and fishing and a 2 1/2 miles around walk or ride your bike.

Loved the park, during my visit to rhode island. The lake was great to walk around and I was able to get some decent shots of the area!

So much fun. We all had a blast cant wait to go back again

A bouldering paradise. What a beautiful location for climbing, exploring, swimming, and enjoying life. Mountain project is helpful to find the boulders, but its better to use it with a guidebook as well. Lots and lots of routes across all grades. Some definitely sandbagged, but all fun. Kids will love it too, especially if they climb. Just an hour from Boston. Cant wait to go back!

Fantastic experience walking around the lake for 2.5 miles in the early evening.

Everyone was obeying mask wearing and 6 foot distancing regulations. Felt comfortable going here.Beautiful place every time I go, I never see any litter.

I havent been here since I was a kid - its probably been almost 30 years since I was last here. After taking my dog for a walk here while home visiting my parents from Pittsburgh, Ill definitely be back next time Im in town! I totally forgot how beautiful it is - the lake is incredible, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore by canoe or kayak. There are plenty of trails and peaceful woods, plus the road is one-way, making it easy if you want to stick to the pavement for biking/walking/running.

Plenty of trails/places to walk to get to a peaceful spot to enjoy the view, meditate/reflect, enjoy a meal/break.

Expansive state park that’s just outside of Providence, Lincoln Woods offers a little bit of everything. There are a multitude of trails and paved roads to exercise on and the entire park surrounds a large lake where you can fish. There’s tons of camping and picnic spots as well. Has become a very popular respite from the quarantine so be aware that it will be crowded.

The park is beautiful and gorgeous but the staff are very ignorant and rude especially Britney the manager at least thats who she stated she was but would not state her last name. Like I said very unprofessional staff. The beach area does not allow any flotation devices in the swimming area not even for a disabled child or baby under 2. This is not clearly stated in their website and they will call the cops to kick you out. Overall a very unsatisfying and stressful experience. The cops were professional tho.

A hidden gem! My son loved it there. My only complaint would be the sand, it wasn’t kid friendly in the sense it was hard to dig in.

Beautiful. There are trails but I also enjoy the paved roads you can walk on with little foot and car traffic. It is buggy so prepare for that.

I always have loved coming to the park. Happened to meet an old friend here one day for a walk and weve been together ever since, true love! Ive had every emotion in this park come and go. The calming atmosphere is soothing down to your very core and will always make you feel good.

Beautiful, spacious park with great hiking and plenty of benches and tables. Very clean and well maintained. It even has a beach, although if thats your sole reason for going youre better off going to Oakland Beach or Rocky Point Park.

Rented picnic site 10 and climbed goat rock with friends. Big field, grill, beautiful Rock, shade that moves. Throwing an outdoor event couldn’t have been easier, or better. Lots of trails, boulders to climb, family friendly, pet friendly.

Parking great, snack bar super full at all times never made it to the counter because there is a constant flow which mean they have good items on the menu, bathrooms are very well maintained and the life guards are very chill and to the point. Coming from California never had a section of a water area where you are confined to a certain section so didnt like that too much we where literally walking through personal areas where people had set up to get to the rope section where where were allowed to swim all in all kids had a blast and its a beautiful area

Nice area for the kids to go swimming, the walking trails and fishing. My only issue is that at the beach the family in back of me had the hookah bong out thought it was a smoke free beach and having my young child ask what that was.

Its a very nice park a large pond with very nice scenery. Great place to walk with a lot of space to distance yourself from others.

Beautiful hidden gem.

Mountain biking trails are Intermediate to expert level riding. Easy on and off trails. No need to carry anything besides one bottle of water. Food and spare water can be kept in the vehicle for quick breaks and back on the trails. I consider this a great free gym for a short workout. Can’t always go to the very long trails especially after work or busy weekends. I tend to ride on Saturday and Sunday early morning for an hour or two. Then off to start the day doing other things.

Wonderful walk, however, waste recepticles should be provided if dog walking is going to be allowed that way little bags of waste wouldnt be left behind.

Paid picnic spots are perfect for a family day, and took the car to the lake beach, soft, sandy with great food options. Pond has more fish than we had worms to catch them!!!!

Its a safe park with baywatch, and rangers driving around all the time.

The park is so beautiful. It has changed so much from when I was a kid. I love nature and to be 15 mintues away from this natural treasure is truly a blessing.

Beautiful park with amazing scenery! Whether you are here for a bike ride, jog, walk with your dog, or for the lake, its fun for the whole family! It has always been clean every time I have visited. Definitely one of my go-to places to get an outdoor workout!

Ive only been here once looking for a place to hike. The trail I took was almost entirely paved been pretty flat so it was more of a walking trail. There was still some pretty nice views though. I was not there during peak season but there looked like there was a little Beach area. Looking at a map there does appear to be some more wooded trails but I was unable to locate the trailhead the day I was there.

This is my favorite park in all seasons, always very quiet and clean Its nice to be there! Enjoy it!

Its a huge place with lots of trails to walk dogs. Its quiet even when there appears to be a lot of people there. They have separate campsites with grills. Good place for a family outing or party - plenty of room for kids to run and play. Love it here!
