Never thought Id say this, but Lincoln, NE sure has a cool vibe to it. The Haymarket has a lot of unique, nifty places that one would never realize was there. 5/5 would recommend exploring this place. Anyone who lives in Lincoln NE has to have visited the Haymarket at least once. Beautiful part of Lincoln that has a lot of great restaurants with a lovely ambience. I enjoy my visit to the Haymarket mostly in the evening plus it has an amazing ice cream shop as well as some apartment complexes too. Parking is stiff but parking garages are available. Definitely recommend.

Very cool downtown area that is always bustling with people. Amazing hidden gem businesses. Awful and terrible parking. If you want a metered parking spot, expect to search for 1-2 hours on fri, sat, sun nights (most people do since the meters are shut off). People I know actively avoid this district because of the awful parking.

I went to the farmers market and it was wonderful. There was a wide variety and selection of just about anything you could think of. They even had a nice shaded grassy area for the kids to enjoy. This is highly recommended!

Haymarket has changed so much over the past 5+years. So many great places to eat and shop and world class entertainment is always coming to the Arena. If you are looking for a neat place to explore and grab a bite to eat, this is the place to be. Also love the Farmers Market Saturday Mornings.

I visited the Hay Market area on a Saturday morning when the Farmers market was in progress, and it was a busy day. But it was enjoyable with all kinds of booths - Arts & Crafts, Food, and Fresh Produce. The Lincoln Visitor Center is also located here. A variety of restaurants and shops can be visited on a leisurely stroll. Note that the parking meters need to be fed on Saturdays.

If you havent been to the HayMarket in Lincoln, I dont think you have ever been to this town, to me its the center of town, it has alot of restaurants, theme bars, places where you can just listen to music, and during football season, it is the best place to pre-game

The Haymarket has been renovated in the past few years and really become a downtown hub. You can find things to do, places to eat, and things to see. Some noteable places in the area are: Ivanna Cone (and that whole building, they have a nifty bookstore, too!); a great farmers market; some cool murals and trains; The Mill, with some great coffee; an olive oil store that lets you sample the goods; and, a licorice store that is thoroughly Nebraskan. I think there might also be an ice skating rink in the winter. In the summer theres also a sweet motorcycle convention that rolls through. Check it out!
