Despite what another reviewer had to say, the interior of the Tugboat Gallery is markedly unlike a crack house. The fact that any artist can rent a gallery here means that visitors can appreciate a wide variety of media and artist backgrounds. Overall Id say this is definitely worth a stop.

Ive never been during the day just during First Fridays so thats what this review is about. The place is very poorly lit to begin with. It has an air of what I imagine and crack house would look and feel like inside. There are lots of dark places and weird smells. Also, during first Fridays there is always a lot of people walking around with beers being loud and abnoxious.The place consists of several small galleries with up and coming artists. During first Fridays only around half of the galleries are open.I would not recommend taking children here.I would not recommend going here alone as its weird.I would not recommend going here if you like clean places.

Great place for new artists to gain connections and exposure. Also great way to view many styles and purchase something original !

Always on my must stop list for First Friday. If you have time for only one show, this is the one. If you miss First Friday, stop into Gomez Art Supply and ask to see the show.
