This place is wonderful and well worth a visit. Good shops and interesting history. Very Alaskan.. and we saw two seals in the creek.
Creek Street in Ketchikan surpassed my expectations. That was one of the most beautiful places in the cities Ive visited in Alaska. The colorful building reflect in the water. I loved the small retailers with great souvenirs.
Great, scenic place to visit
Fun shops and seeing the salmon in the river below was a big highlight.
A walk along historic Creek Street with its preserved buildings from another time. Many buildings have specialty shops targeting the many tourists off Cruise Ships. Enjoyed taking photos and looking through the shops.
Cute little area to see the falls and shops
Worderful historical site. Nice shops and unique people. A little crowded in the summer when ships are docked.
Fun place, lots of quaint shops. Love watching the salmon running. Take the lift to the top of the hill for a great view of the town and cruise ships.
Worth the time to browse around the shops
You cant miss this place when you visit Ketchikan.... The salmon spawn up this creek and you see them swim up the creek. Quite spectacular.. There was a Seal swimming around in between the shops feasting on the Salmon.. I love the shops they have cool souvenirs and the locals that run the different shops are quite nice and ready to share a story or two about the place... The shops also have high end souvenirs of quality.. Depending on what cruise ship your on depends if you find this place. At the dock go right and then when you get to the end head for the hills and youll hit this place.
Very nice city with lots of character.
Cozy little shopping area that is quaint and repetitive. But if you are in the area you really should check it out. This section of town has more local owners and towns people than the main drag in town. Nice place to take pictures also.
Some great shops selling all sorts of goods made by locals (not cheap imports). The street itself is very picturesque with some good places to eat whilst looking over the river. Close to the cruise ship docks, 5 mins walk.
So cool! The salmon were super active and there was a seal swimming through! A great tourist stop.
Your typical cruise-town touron trap -- but everyone is very friendly, and theres zero pressure to buy anything -- even if youre trying whatever free stuff theyre giving away (salmon on crackers, confections, popcorn, you name it, theyre handing out free tastes everywhere). With no pressure to buy, its fun just to walk around and try things out. (And, of course, we made purchases, too....)
The best place to come, I love see salmon in the river and the view around here so beautiful
Must to visit ....into the river plenty solmons after 15 August and maybe some seals fishing ...
Charming. We saw seals and bald eagles. Lots of shops for souvenirs. We watched a man fish off the bridge.
Cool place to see, nice shops. Worth the visit!
Its totally awesome! Interesting store and location is beautiful.
Cant believe the seals chase the salmon as far up as they do. Incredible opportunity to see nature in action.
Nice quaint with great people and shopping, must stop and explore
Unbelievable amounts of Salmons, in millions! Great walk from the Totem center to Cruise terminal. Street shopping along the boardwalks.
Fun walk through this old section of town along the creek. Got to watch salmon making their trek upstream and seals hunting them.
Nice town to walk around in. Best city to visit in Alaska based on top 50 cities to visit by state.
A lot of great things to buy and see.
Great part of historical Ketchikan, got to see salmon spawning and seals eating them lol. Nice little shops but check labels as a lot is made in China
Lovely historical part of town, not too far from cruise ship docks. Pretty place to take photos. Shops very touristy.
We were here on the last cruise of the season, seems like a neat little place with a lot of historical significance. It was okay, salmon run just happened so it smells awfully fishy...
Original shops in historic buildings. Beats by far the shops near the dock. 4, 5 blocks from ships.
Lovely bit of history, cheaper products on Creek St. And its just so peaceful there. Im glad we found it and saw it.
Quaint historical area with beautifully painted businesses along a boardwalk.
Awesome historical places in Ketchikan Alaska.
Mid July the locals say the creek is filled with salmon going upstream to spawn. This is a perfect vantage point too see them.
Well maintained old wooden walkway with lots of gift shops. Good for recreational walk.
Transformation of historic area with shops having unique gifts
Fun shops and pretty setting. Mostly tourist type shops.
A wonderfully pictureque part of Ketchikan. Be sure to wonder up on the married mans trail to see salmon swimming upstream. We were told that Walt Disney received his inspiration for Disneylands Frontier Land here. I wouldnt be surprised. Full of shops. Take the time to stroll the entire street.
A great history lesson and some cute little shops.
Beautiful area. Salmon were running in the creek.
Great place to see the salmon. Thousands of them going upstream.
Nice shopping area in a beautiful outdoor setting next to a creek.
Beautiful walk with friends, catching a few pictures of wildlife while breathing in the fresh air of Alaska
Loved this place, so full of energy and special shops
Fun Place to Visit!
Great tourist shopping and sight seeing.
This was my favorite little, downtown walk in all of Alaska. Fun piece of history while watching the seals play in the river.
Historically acclaimed boardwalk complete with tour of brothel by madam
The creek is lovely, some shops are nice but also lots of junk
Had a nice time in Ketchikan! Went hiking Married Man’s Trail and did a little shopping and exploring...
Cute shops along beautiful creek. Nice place to stroll
Fun. Get a guided tour for the best history of this area.
Lots of fun little shops!
Fun afternoon browsing a variety of shops, museums and places of interest the town has to offer.
Unique place. Interesting shops.
Its not a long walk to the piers where the cruise ships are. The walk on the boardwalk there is nice. The shop is a bit touristy, but if you want to stop and pick up some small things its a good place to go.
Very interesting. Much to see and do.
Quaint shops. Harbor seals in bay.
Nice little walk by the creek that rises and lowers two too three times a day. And has salmon and eagles hanging out. The water rises about 15 to 20 feet each high and low tide.
Fun shops. Cool location
Great stroll with great local shops
U can see the salmon making their way upstream!
Loved it but very peoply...
Boardwalk over a creek with tourists shops selling Alaskan stuff. Nice walk.
Super fun and cute walk around Ketchikan!
Lots of Salmon samples. Very yummie.
Cool to see salmon jumping upstream
Fun fun..clean great creek water!!
Ketchikan is a disappointing first cruise stop. Way too many jewelry stores and kitch.
Cute shops to stroll thru
Nice people, very picturesque
Fun shops, good restaurants, beautiful location.
Lots of restaurants, shopping good scenery
Really cool walk in a historic feeling town. Visit ones of these oldest brothels, or browse through souvenir shops on a walk above the creek. Look down and if youre in season, see salmon! We were here on an alaskan cruise.
We made a walk through town. Nice place. Remote.
Standard t-shirt/jewelry shops, but beautiful walk!
Can get annoying with crowds but a nice place to see.
Must visit if youre in Ketchikan. You can spot salmons and seals down the river. Most of the salmons are dead though. Hence the area smells fishy but youll get used to it. Gift shops are plenty.
Breathable place :p
The place is stink and really dont know why its so popular, maybe there is no attraction in that area.
Novr replica of historic Street. Thats a little shops to look in.
Definitely my favorite stop in alaska
We were fortunate to enjoy a rain-free, pleasant morning in Ketchikan. One of the highlights of our trip was walking Creek Street: atmospheric and beautiful in May.
So interesting and fun!
Salt Creek was amazing
Always a good place for a stroll. You never know what youll see.
Interesting shops and beautiful creek. We saw salmon and harbor seals. Make sure to check out Dollys house!
Interesting history
Good place for a leisurely walk. Lot of photogenic spots.
