Our Womens Bible Study group took a pottery class! Our trainer Dixie is the best! She made the class fun! She tought us all well enough that we created some awesome pieces. The cost was VERY affordable. Shes been most accommodating to our scheduling times to come in and paint and fire our pieces (they had to dry for a few weeks). They also have original pieces to purchase...or of course, you can create your own

I would recommend everyone just give it a try at least once. Guys this makes for an awesome first date, or just a date night. It is awesome, and alot of fun.

The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable and I understand that they dont get paid to be there, but something needs to change with the way things are handled. I really tried with this studio. I was an active member for about 4 months out of the 12. Reason being is I had 4 out of 7 pieces I had made in my time of going ruined. Either by people loading my piece too close to another persons piece and that persons glaze getting stuck to mine (twice) or a piece getting debris stuck to the glaze due to another persons neglect of placing a breathing hole on their piece causing it to explode . Then the last piece that was suppose to have a completely white glaze came out with blue glaze mixed in due to someone mixing colors in the glaze buckets.

The KC Clay Guild is great for beginners, advanced ceramics students, to anyone in between. I started as a complete novice, never having touched clay before. Now, years later, I still enjoy the Guild. Ive met friends there, learned lots about the ceramic arts and enjoy its convenient location. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try out ceramics.
