Came in a few weeks ago and had a really good time! Had never gone to an escape room so really didn’t know what to expect but the owner made it fun and enjoyable, he helped us out when we really needed it which really helped us not get stuck looking in an area for too long! Will definitely go back once they add a different room!

I booked this adventure for my family on yesterday for tonight and we had a great time.Great location downtown. Clean and friendly environment. Also to mention our escape advisor Mrs. Debbie was awesome! Great time !

Brian was awesome!! And the Toy Room was awesome if you have kids that want to participate!! Very worth the money! And bonita not super easy like youd think! Great for all ages!!

So fun. I was the only one out of eight of us who had been to one other escape room. We barely made it out in time because I chose challenging but we did it! All my friends had a great experience too. This is a great value for the price and you can tell that it is a very original concept. I highly recommend.

Not your traditional escape room. Unless you want someone to give you clues the whole time and basically be a part of helping your group solve the room, this escape room isn’t for you.

My team at Jiffy Lube came to this location for a Team building excercise on teamwork and communication. The challenge we had was to get out of the Puzzle Room in less than an hour. This room was challenging but not too difficult to get out. It does challenge your patience however a great experience was had by all team members. Our guide Janet was amazing, she was funny and made our team feel welcomed. She does give hints if your team is stuck but does not make it a walk in the park. Our team escaped with the last 9 minutes. Thank you Janet for an awesome Escape Room experience.

Played with a group of 4 others in the Puzzle Masters Playroom. First gripe was that we had to circle the block for 10 minutes until a reasonably close parking space opened up. Second gripe was that our host was noticeably not prepared or enthusiastic when giving us the rooms schpiel. Third was that the room was only half-themed at best. And the fourth and worst problem with the room is that most of the puzzles are fiddly, cheaply constructed, or just outright broken. We spent at least half of our hour trying to adjust a broken hinge to just the right position.There are plenty of good escape rooms in KC for you to visit; Escape Artist KC is not one of them.

Terrible experience. They had website issues and lost our booking. We waited for 45 min for someone to answer door as the sign said they were preparing the room. No one was actually there. No air conditioning or bathroom. Someone called us back, very nice offered assistance. A second woman called back after and said first woman didn’t work there and didn’t offer assistance and wouldn’t do anything to help. Very rude. I could go on but the bottom line is, don’t waste your money. They aren’t worth it. There are plenty of other escape rooms in KC that appreciate your business.

I enjoyed the Broke, Broken, Broker room last year with my kids for Mothers day. I had so much fun I got a job with them as a Puzzle Guide. This is the funnest part time job ever. #escaperoom

Different way of approaching an escape room! The staff was very friendly, and I learned more of my group by being trapped in the same room for 1 hour. The clues were very intricate and I had a great time figuring out the Puzzle Masters room. Although there was no backstory, the room was fun to solve, and our group made up a backstory on the way home! Definitely recommend this escape room!

The room itself was fun, but the “host” was kind of rude and unprofessional, she acted like she was just in a hurry to get home. Most likely will not go back to this one.

I agree, it was OK. There were some puzzles eerily similar to other rooms weve already done, and I dont feel like the room was entirely finished. At one point the room looked like it had be colored in by kids...and I thought that was part of the story. Not as polished as most escape rooms out there. It was still fun, and these guys are one of the few that offer groupons. Id say for the price you pay, its about right.

Went to Broke, Broker, Broken. Went as a family for our dads (and grandpa) birthday. It was a great room with good difficulty. The guide, Roxy, was very nice and helpful.

Had a lot of fun here with the family. Prices are competitive with other escape rooms. There are many places that are walkable to eat/drink near here which is a plus. Escape room protip: kids 8-12 are really good at escape rooms.

The place is not the neatest or most attractive being housed above a brewery pub. There was only 1 room set up that was available (I believe they were just starting out). It was way better than expected and the story plot was quiet twisty.

Not bad, recommend a full group though. We showed up with 4 and they put another group of 4 in with us. They ended up to be ok in the end, and we got out with 15 min left. Fun overall.

So much fun for groups and couples. Really well thought out room. Price was very reasonable as well.

First escape room experience I have tried. We enjoyed it. Just barely escaped. The host was helpful in nudging us in the right direction with the hints without giving too much away

The wife and I did this today. We had a great time! We worked great together and made it out with time to spare.

This was an OK experience. We used Groupon so we paid 35 for 2 people, which was almost worth it. The puzzles were mostly interesting, but some of them were distractions, which I hadnt experienced in other escape rooms. In other places Ive been to, there are sometimes distracting clues, but here, some of the actual puzzles were pointless, so that confused me slightly. The decor wasnt great, it was pretty basic, but they did say they were working on a new room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and fun.

This was my first escape room and a member of our party accidentally booked the more difficult room. That was our fault. What wasnt our fault was the poor customer service from the owner. He became very frustrated with our progress in the room and got visibly annoyed with us. We should have chose the easier room but shouldnt have been talked down to when spending money at his establishment. His business has a lot of potential but he is going to scare away new customers if he doesnt change his customer service.

Rude and obnoxious game master. My group tried the Puzzlemaster room and it was awful. The puzzles were broken and things were out of place so they didnt reset the room properly. Look to other escape rooms like Breakout KC.

Just two rooms, the guy was very nice. The rooms are good just kind of low budget, but it was expected. Parking is a pain

Have tried calling several different times throughout several different days and they have never answered. Not even once!

Really fun experience, even with total strangers! Id love to go back and try some of the other took, but Broke, Broker, Broken was great!

So much fun. I would recommend this to any friend. I think everyone should do this and/or other escape rooms.

Went January 29th in the afternoon. There was six of us using a groupon for the room. Cheston was our guide, he was witty in his hints and help, super nice guy. The room had some twists and without a few hints we would have never gotten out. I would say why I gave it 4 out instead of 5 but that would ruin the room for others. When i reserved the room I had a few questions, left a message and received a call back a few hours later with answers. Overall a fun experience.

So much fun...great challenge! We went with another couple and had such a great time ! So worth it...

Zero stars! We had to leave the room early due to a gas leak. I get that things happen but when you are offered your money back and then DONT respond to calls or emails you dont deserve any more business. Terrible. Go elsewhere, please!!!

DO NOT BOTHER! We bought one pass for their room to go with friends. The week earlier, our family surprised us with tickets to this. So of course, we needed to cancel our other reservations since they only have one room. We have called them 5 times, left 4 messages, Ive tweeted, Ive sent 2 FB messages, Ive posted on their FB wall. NO REFUND! The one time my husband did get a hold of someone on the phone, he was told to contact the owner. And he GUARANTEED us we would get a refund. We have never heard back from said owner. Thats $150 down the drain. They are completely unprofessional.Oh, also, the room wasnt great. Go to Breakout KC instead.

Doing service with this owner is a terrible experience. Brian is a reincarnation of the gamer geek in high school no one wanted to be friends with. Narcissistic and mean he spoke down to us during all interactions. What was supposed to be a fun experience turned sour with his bad attitude. Dont waste your time or money on this treatment.

Enjoyed the story the best. But felt the all the props were old and from a second hand store.

Called ahead to reschedule- customer service was HORRIBLE! Manager was very unprofessional and acted as though I was wasting his time... He was very hard to get in contact with and was rude when I finally spoke with him! Dont waste your energy or time- try Escape KC or another escape room instead!!
