My wife and I decided to take a day trip from Omaha to Kansas City and stumbled upon this escape room while exploring union station. Scott let us jump right into a room and we finished the da Vinci code in a little over 43 minutes and it was so much fun! Definitely a hi production value and medium challenge scape room. Would definitely recommend and will probably come back next time we’re in KC!

I love trying something new. You had to really think about the clues to solve the mystery.

Fun and entertaining. Good for teambuilding or friends & family groups. All vantages have to contribute to getting out in time. One person wont likely carry the group all the way through.

My family and I enjoyed the Secret Agent room. It was challenging, but fun. We finished with seven minutes left. The clues were essential for us getting through, but it diminished our satisfaction while cracking the codes and finding the solutions. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and friendly.

I really loved Escape Room KC. I was skeptical but it was really fun and a lot more challenging than I assumed it would be. My wife and I did it for our anniversary. We were literally 5 seconds late on getting out. It was really intense and extremely fun. Cant wait to go back! Highly recommend to any and all!

Went with a bachelorette party for an officer and did the prison break room. This was one of the better escape rooms I have done. There could have been a little more variation in the types of puzzles in the middle portion of the escape and it would have competed with the best room I have done! It is definitely not one of the escape rooms that only involves unlocking locks, and I would absolutely give their other rooms a try!

Two parents and two kids (fifth graders) really enjoyed our visit. We selected an easier room due to the ages involved and it was just right for us. I dont think elementary/middle schoolers alone would do as well, but the challenges engaged young and old alike. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great place to go for team building and making new friends. I went in with three other girls, only friends with one. Now I gained two more.

My brothers and I Completed the Spy Room and Attempted the Prison break room. Each room was a ton of fun and the staff were amazing to work with. These are well thought out and I recommend this to anyone who likes a challenge. This could be a great team building activity for families our group organizations.

I took my grand kids here this last weekend and they had a ball. I cannot wait to take them again on break. Staff is very nice.

Me and my girlfriend did The Theory Of Everything and it was fun. This was our first time doing something like this and it was AMAZING totally worth it for sure. We escaped our room AND ARE EXCITED TO GO BACK AND TRY THE NEXT ONE. DONT MISS OUT ON A CHANCE FOR SOME FUN. THE STAFF ARE FUN AND THE PLACE HAS GRATE ENERGY

Not our favorite escape rooms. In fact, this was our least favorite. We succeeded in one, but not the other. But their system feels flawed, compared to all the other rooms we have ever done. It was an ok overall experience, but probably will not be going back.

This was a great experience! No one in our group had been to an escape room before, and the people working there were great at explaining what we needed to do in order to escape. We did the Prison Break room and it was incredibly challenging, but fun to do all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this, and will be visiting again!

These rooms were AMAZING. Without giving too much away, they were super high tech and had pretty interesting stories. They were actually well priced at about $30 a person for the hour you get to try and escape.

The location was a little hard to find, but the room was great. Very cool puzzles.

This was my first time doing an escape room. We were greeted the moment we stepped in the door with friendly faces. They asked if any of us had done this before and out of our group I was the only one that hadnt. The staff went over the guidelines and lead us to our room. The room we did was rather fun!!! It made me think and really focused on team work!!! I recommend this escape room to anyone!!!!

It was hard. If youve never done it, dont go for a level 4. Very clever concept. Leave nothing unnoticed.

The staff was awesome. We had to work as a team to solve puzzles that enables you too escape within the allotted time limit of 60 minutes. Cant wait to go back again!

This was a family outing. We had a ball finding and following the clues. Some took us by surprise. We escaped with 19 seconds left on the clock. Near the end there were a few generous hints. Great fun and would like to try another room. We did the Secret Agent room and highly recommend it. Great staff!

Very fun well run and good design rooms.

The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a small mishap when we first arrived. I booked a room for a specific time and paid in advance for 6 people directly on their website. After arriving early they did have any us in their system, at all.Luckily I had my email confirmation and no one was using the room we booked.

Such a fun room!! we used all our clues from alex, which was a great guy and helped so much! we escaped with 1 min left... talk about nerve wracking.

This was really fun and challenging. I went with my fiance and his sister and did a challenge that was difficulty level 2. We used both hints and solved it just as the 45/60 minute timer sounded. We arent sure if we could have solved it without one or 2 of the hints if wed thought about it longer. I would definitely go back.

My friends and I had a great evening at the Escape Room. It was a different and interesting way to spend an evening!We all agreed. Its totally worth checking out. Grab a few brainy friends because it can be tricky! We had to work as a team, gathering clues & piecing them together in order to make our escape.

This place was so much fun and the staff was amazing as well! They even had the cutest dog, I would return just for the dog alone. If your in the area it is a must that you visit and have fun trying to escape

We just happened across this amazing treat on a day date this week...it was So Much Fun!! It was just my husband and I in the Sherlock Holmes room. We had such a great time and there were So many things to keep you busy. We left and remarked on how well we communicated and worked as a team. This would be great for a team building exercise or a fun family adventure! We cant wait to do it again!

My first time an escape room with my two adult children and had a ball. We managed to escape the jail with about six or seven minutes to spare. Some of the clues were tough some were not so tough. Overall a great experience.

Went with my wife and ten year old boy, and we had a blast! The gentlemen who work there were unbelievably helpful and made the experience that much better. We did the Secret Agent room and it was challenging but so much fun. All of us,including our 10 year old, were able to contribute to solving the mystery. We were able to escape in 57 minutes!!! Dominic was our game master and he did a great job giving us just enough clues, at just the right times to help us along. If you are looking for a fun family activity, or a night out with friends, that is outside the box then please go to the Escape Room!! There are 2 locations one at Union Station and another on 4th street. When we come back to Kansas City this will be on our must do again list! First time my boyfriend and I did an escape room. We did Secret agent (level three difficulty), and managed to get through a decent portion of it. It was complex and enjoyable, kept you on your toes. The game masters are thorough in explanation and are kind people. During the escape, they have cameras in the room to watch you, along with a screen that they can send you messages via, with hints and such. Made it fun to have a relationship with the game master during the session.Once an hour was up, the game master was in and hinted us back on direction to figuring out the puzzle, instead of blatantly telling us the answer, which was appreciated. If you are in KC and wanting to do an escape room, this company is definitely the one. Have fun! :D

This was my first escape room visit, went with a coworker for some team building. We had a blast! Went through the secret agent room. It was challenging but a lot of fun. And we made it out!

They said kid friendly, however, the customer service was disgustingly rude especially to my son and his two friends. Ages 8-12. The room was fun but you should be able to put in as many codes as youd like without it locking you out. We tried one code and didnt wait a full 2 minutes before trying the next code and it locked us out for the remainder of our time. (Only about 5 minutes but even the employee couldnt get it to open) I am Willing to return with only adults and no more than 4 people. Hopefully the snarky employee will be having a better day also....

Fun time had by all. Big bang for the buck

My group of four played the Secret Agent room. The staff were friendly and helpful in making sure we were well prepared before we went in with the rules and safety guidelines. This specific room had periodic hints actively fed to us by the staff in order to keep us on track and they were consistently the right balance of helpful enough to keep us moving and hard enough that they didnt solve the puzzle for us. We had a great time, and the puzzles were accessible enough that anyone should be able to have similar fun. Dont worry about need to know obscure facts or skills, every clue you need is in the room and critical thinking and puzzle solving are the only things you need to bring.

Very fun atmosphere, staff was friendly and able to answer all questions. We did “The Theory Of Everything” it was challenging but not to the point where things couldn’t be figured out. Highly recommend as it was a super fun experience!

Although we failed miserably, we had a great time. We did Secret Agent and came Oh, so close. according to the host. We actually had several steps we needed to do but it was just me, my wife and 2 kids (ages 10 and 6). Everyone contributed at some point so it really was a family event that required no physical skills, only a thinking mind. We will definitely be back. I enjoyed that when we were stuck, the host would give us hints so we could keep going. At the end, he put the missing pieces together so we could complete the mission and see what we needed to do. Highly recommend.

It is an amazing place to visit to challenge your mind. With amazing excape rooms and brain busting puzzles to solve. The time you spend here will be an amazing experience that you will never regret.

This was a pretty average escape room, seemed like one of the easiest Ive ever done. We did the secret agent themed room, and we easily escaped in about 40 minutes. The props werent particularly impressive, but there were some clever puzzles.

This is a great event for a group of friends or family that wants a break from the norm. Escape room has done a superb job of putting together fun rooms that get your adrenaline pumping as you try to escape in the allotted time. The rooms are full of puzzles that encourage interaction and collaboration with friends.

These guys have two locations in the Kansas City area. Both locations are clean, functional and have a great staff. I have yet to have a bad experience with these guys. Having said that, their hardest rooms are best done with more people. We attempted one with three and didnt make it through it in time. All in all, tons of fun every time.

We had an awesome time! We had a really big group (18 total) and played 2 rooms. We had ages ranging from 5 to 55 and everybody had a ton of fun! Would recommend as a super family or team building activity!

I enjoy the room itself, but shouldnt have used the bathroom. It was disgusting, it looks like its never been cleaned.

Went to the one at Union Station and did the Sherlock room. At first I was kinda bummed that there would be other people, not just my group but boy at the end I was thankful. It took all of us to solve the room and we only got out with seconds to spare. It was an absolute blast and within 5 minutes you wouldnt have known some of us were strangers. It was a lot of fun and very challenging. The staff was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend it.

This was by far the funnest thing I have ever done, EVER! I scheduled this for a bachelorette party and the whole group had a fantastic time. The staff was super nice and understanding of our being a minute or two late. (We accidentally went to the wrong location first) But once we got in the room, she explained the rules to us and we were off. We got hints along the way, but we made it out with 3 minutes to spare. It was fantastic! If you are on the fence about doing this, DO IT!! Ive never had so much fun trying to figure anything out before. I will definitely be doing more rooms!

My wife and I attempted the Theory of Everything Room and loved the game. A couple of things for those who play.Play at a time when you have lots of energy and think clearly. The puzzles are great but you will have to really ponder how to approach each one and how it applies to the next step.We failed because I missed one of the keys and didnt see how to solve a puzzle. Though it had been sitting their in front of us for 45 minutes.I really think 4-6 people per room is the ideal number. This allows enough eyes, hands for finding the clues, but someone has to sit and see the connections.I cant wait to go again.

We booked the Secret Agent room for five of us (none of whom had ever done an escape room before) and it was great! Dominic, the host, was very helpful, friendly and made sure we all understood how to go about solving the puzzles. We definitely needed some of the hints given to us but I attribute that to us all being rookies. As we got about halfway through the room, we started to figure out how the mechanics worked and really started to pick up the pace which was rewarding.We did have an...issue...with one of the clues (Im keeping it vague, as to not spoil anything) which caused us to fail. BUT when Dominic came in after the buzzer to explain the clue and realized the issue, he quickly rectified the problem and gave us additional time to try to complete the room (which we did!). They could have easily said, well that sucks but your time is up, sorry, but they definitely cared about our experience and made an accommodation which l commend them for!We definitely enjoyed the experience here and I would strongly recommend this room for rookies!

Family of 4, we did Secret agent as part of my all about me 50th Birthday all day celebration! It was amazing! So challenging, so much fun! The staff is amazing! Thank you for helping make my day so fun!

It was such a fun and interactive experience. We made it out, but not without great teamwork!! The staff was friendly and I would definitely recommend for either a large group gathering or corporate team building activity. Im not sure how i would feel about working that close to complete strangers though.

Overall, we did have fun. I did it with myself and 3 others. We first did the Prison Break room then went back to do the Secret Agent one.The Prison Break one was pretty tough but it does have a 4 out of 5 star difficulty so I knew it wasnt going to be easy. I was right but some of the clues were a bit obscure. We had fun regardless and didnt even get close to making it out.The Secret Agent room was probably where most of my issues lie. Some of the rules are contradictory to what you actually have to do. The clues werent the best and didnt really help very much. Plus the guy who set the room up got pretty defensive when we were offering suggestions on how to improve and/or make it a little more clear.All in all we ended up having fun. Just wasnt the same experience as Breakout KC.

The best part about Escape Room KC though is their unique games! They have a really big focus on hidden surprises in the rooms and technological features. That is all I will say though because I do not want to ruin it for anyone ;DI have done a few of these things and Escape Room KC really stood out. Their facilities (there are two locations in KC) are always clean and orderly. The staff are really good at crowd management. It takes skill to try and explain rules to a group of 8 overexcited teens. But the staff got all the rules in and started both their group and our group on time despite those chatty teens.Thats another great thing about this company. You do pay a bit more than other companies, but you do not have to share a room with strangers! No matter how many people you bring in to play, the room is yours and yours alone. Such a big plus, as often these games require intimate team work that strangers cant accomplish.

We went there to do the prisoner room which was a lot of fun. We escaped with 13 minutes left on the clock. We decided to stay and do the spy room. When we needed clues our clue master would only write I see you, your doing great and hello. We walked around for 15-20 minutes before he gave us a clue even though we had asked for one several times. I feel if we would have gotten the clue we asked for sooner we would have escaped no problem. They need to figure that out.

This place is DOPE! I had a blast with my friends and honestly am normally not into this kind of stuff. It was fun and made us all think really well, I could definitely see how this could be used for team building or just plain ol bonding.Owners are also really cool and nice people. One of the newest little gems of KC!

The staff was extremely friendly, but the experience in the locked room was not what I had hoped. After going to a similar place in Kansas City three times and having an absolute blast (got out only 1 of the 3 times and with only seconds to spare), when my 10 year old asked to do this as a special family treat, we decided to try a new place. Unfortunately, my husband (a sales rep, not a professional locksmith:) accidentally opened the lock that should have required lots of problem solving fun by just giving it a few twists. We broke out in 20 minutes and never really got to solve anything. A big let down and a lot of money for such an anticlimactic finish.

Had an amazing time at Escape Room KC! Secret Agent was our first experience with an escape room and weve found a new addicting activity. It was a real challenge, but we made it out with 2 people and a couple minutes to spare. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Well be sure to do Prison Break next time were in town.

Private rooms is what I liked most about this place. Breakout KC sticks you a bunch of random ppl, but its more fixed up and what not. Had a fun time here.

Totally challenged, entertained and amazed! Last night was the most unique and exciting experience! I made reservations with family and friends for the Secret Agent room. We got there early and the front desk staff were friendly and fun to talk to. We are still laughing about the random brain teasers in the lobby, our favorite is the useless box. :D They brought us in the room and explained the game, the dos and donts quickly and we were off! It started slow but quickly we started breaking codes, finding secret things, riddles unraveled, and clues helped guide us. The hour went by in a flash! There were 6 of us, perfect size group! Each of us contributed something to the game. We got to the very end with 3 minutes left and over 40 different codes to unlock the main door but couldnt seem to figure out the last riddle for the answer. With one attempt left I yelled to my fiance one number from the list! IT WAS THE ESCAPE CODE! With skill we got to the end of the game, and with luck, I guessed the right code right before time was up! The guy up front said we were an exciting group to watch with the nail biter at the end! We had so much fun we talked about it all night and are still talking about it! We will be back for sure. Thanks for having such a fun, challenging, well put together game and business. Escape Room, Secret Agent room will always be a story for us :)

Went with a few colleagues for team building. It was a lot of fun and the puzzles in the rooms were as challenging as the difficulty ratings suggested.
