Spent my birthday here for a round of golf.It was more than I ever could expect.The history, the course, the service if you get a chance to play. Make the drive cancel what ever you where thinking of doing instead.10 out of 10.

I’ve been here for lots of weddings, special events, dinners, and pool days! Great spit for all of the above! The food is always delicious, whether at the pool bar, in the dining hall, or by the catering team for a big wedding. The view of the river is beautiful as well.

Attended a wedding reception there. Food and service were great. Old school country club with a beautiful setting on the river. Would like to play golf there some day. Wonderful place.

Entire property is well appointed and maintained. Try the chicken fingers!

Went here for a Sunday Brunch on Mothers Day. Such an excellent buffet with many, many choices. We were a large party of about 15 but our servers took great care of us. Nice building. Overall great experience.

The wait staff here is phenomenal. Eric was one of our servers and he deserves a raise. 10/10 would recommended the TCC to anyone.

Beautiful club and golf course. Played the during a charity tournament. Awesome buffet. Event was well done.

Thursday night Trivia. First there was a new host for trivia and we will give him a try even if the first night was confusing. Use to go through thirty questions in a 1 hour and fifteen minutes. This nigh twenty questions in a 1 and 430 minutes But the service was terrible. There was not enough staff to handle the people. A couple we know who had just lost their son the week before had to wait a hour to get a hamburg and some quesadillas. After the waitress and the food manager was told. The were given a free wine each. $1 night by the way.

Played Timuquana today. The course is beautiful and is in excellent shape, especially with all the rain we have had lately. They treated us very nicely and gave us a tour of the facilities. It is a beautiful property, right on the St. Johns River across from the Jacksonville skyline. You have to try the hot dogs at the turn, they are great and there must be 10 condiments to put on them. A shout out to Gus for the great tour of the facilities and to Deanna who took such good care of us on the turn. This is a place to strongly consider if you are looking for a club in the Jax area.

Good food and fair green fees.

Jacksonville, being the smaller city it is, is lucky to have so many excellent private membership-only clubs. Ortega/Avondale more specifically, are particularly fortunate to be home to both Timuquana Country Club, and the Florida Yacht Club across the inlet. Both clubs are world class set ups, but for Jacksonville with Jacksonville appropriate membership fees and dues.I live in a big city in another part of the country and have lived in other major cities, and have spent plenty of time in their private clubs. Timuquana is competitive with the best Ive seen in world class cities. Its unique for Florida with its aesthetics, design, and layout, but no country club in Florida has the history of Timuquana. Its an original Donald Ross course. The clubhouse is grand and beautiful. The course is unique and takes on a mystical quality amidst all the live oaks surrounding the fairways. Ive been coming here all my life and many of the same staff are still here, dating to the time I was a kid decades ago.This club has really good reciprocals with other elite clubs in the state (such as with Palma Ceia in Tampa) and around the country.This city has a bit of a history (being the original winter wonderland for wealthy northerners, pre-existing Miami) and this neighborhood is both a big part of its history and an epicenter of its old money. This is why this elite club co-exists with another elite club alongside it (Florida Yacht Club). As such, there is a long-standing debutante coterie and society here, with the opening Magnolia Ball at this club and the Presentation at the other.This is also a place for big weddings, and community events such as River Rats swim team competitions. Overall, its a country club steeped in tradition, entrenched in local Jacksonville history, and probably best-suited for people who prefer this sort of native old-timey feel where everyone seems to have known everyone for generations, to the country clubs at the beach and elsewhere where most of the membership are likely transplants to the area in the past familial generation or even the past few years.
