Im a beginner at the game of golf do I just use the driving range for now. This is the third range, and by far the best. It is covered, it is cooled by fans, has tables and chairs, and drinks and food can be ordered while practicing. The personnel are friendly, professional, and helpful. The range is great and offers a variety of training tools. This is the only range I go now! I will be playing 18 holes next week. They even have military discounts on golf. I have already brought 3 of my sons and they love it. Even the son who has a house by the golf course likes this range better then his. I love this place! The course is fun to play and the staff are the best! My wife and friends really enjoy wing nights every Tuesday. If youre looking for a club to join this is the best deal in town. Come and check it out you wont be disappointed.

Had an incredible time at the blue sky range. My wife and I played to our hearts content, without pressure or time constraints like at top golf, not to mention its much MUCH cheaper! The staff were accommodating, especially Taylor who was patient and answered all of our questions with ease and even gave us info on the Trainors that they have there who are also very reasonable in price. The food was great and inexpensive, they had a full bar and waitors on call that brought whatever you ordered out to you. Again, one of the best ranges that Ive visited and they will from now on have my business. Not sure why this place doesnt get the credit it deserves because the staff is great and the range is fun. We had a great time and we will definitely DEFINITELY be returning for more fun at Blue Sky. Thank you all for showing first timers a great time!

This is a total revival of a once certain death of a golf course. Congrats to all involved and thank you for the amazing transition. The staff is top notch and the course while not a PGA tour course is very well managed and geared toward the golfer that wants to play without being judged for what they are wearing, the clubs their hitting and where their from. Again thank you for providing me a course I am proud to bring both my avid golfers and begining golfers to. Hats off to you Blue Sky and your great staff.

Interesting course. A bit difficult to navigate due to the lack of trees and bushes helping to define the fairways. We had others in our fairway at one point because they were aiming at the wrong green. The score cards or golf carts with a course map would be helpful.The sprinklers came on while we were playing, so we couldnt tee off on that hole.The clubhouse is nice, the food was ok, the driving range looks cool (didnt use it).Its affordable, which is why Im giving 4 stars, instead of just 3.

I’ve enjoyed many rounds at this course. Pricing is reasonable compared to other semi-privates/public courses in the area. Course has an interesting layout that will have you using different clubs all throughout the round. Because the course is passionately open to the public you get some oddballs out on the course who don’t care about anyone but themselves and will add extra time to your round as there are no rangers or staff to push people through. Greens are quick and fairways are nice. Tee boxes could use some TLC but they get a ton of people through this course so it makes sense that they’re a little roughed up.Still worth the time and money. Have played several times and will continue to play in the future.

Great Palmer designed course. This course is well thought out and allot of fun!There was some jerk grabbing people’s balls that were in play!! Some people can ruin a good thing!!Practice area was good, no course marshal to speed up the 4some in front of me, that would have been nicer.But on the whole a loss to e experience and I’ll be back for sure!

Course, is in okay shape. Greens not bad but we played on a day, after alot of rain and that course not sure has 1 drain! Played 9 and gave up. They seem to focus more on the range and Guess would call clubhouse/Bar... Staff was very friendly and nice!

There was a family hiting in front of the tee box (in the grass). So I go to practice my driver, because the tees are to high, and I was told to get off the field. Interestingly enough, they did not say nothing to the family, they just stayed on the field. Cool atmosphere, music is pretty loud, its crowded no matter what time you go, and the turf you hit off of is worn down. So its like hitting off of a thin carpet. Its pretty cheap, which is good, but you get what you pay for

My first visit to this course was for a memorial/fundraiser. The course was very well maintained. The staff were extremely pleasant and the food was excellent!

Excellent club! My daughters wedding reception was held there and we couldnt be happier!

You will love the club house and food. The course needs some serious help. It is no more than a over priced city course. Half the greens have black areas you can not put through and the fairways are mostly dirt with patches of weeds.All the stars are for the staff and food.

As of 7/19/20 course was in good shape greens were nice. Got paired up with another twosome which was a little odd considering the covid social distance era we are in. Ate lunch before the round and food was great.

This course is awesome! I shot a 65! But then the back nine really messed me up!

David Mayo was amazing! His whole staff there was super awesome. Im a combat wounded Vet and they were absolutely amazing a being accommodating to me and my guest! Food was delicious ! And they have a great selection of booze!! Thank you David!

Fun course to learn on. Greens were patchy in spots but overall they are in good shape. Lots of small prop planes take off overhead which adds to the excitement. Good place to get out of the house for a few hours, nice bar and clubhouse area with good food. Overall, it is not an overly pricey course and it is definitely worth playing.

The food is usually on point here and for a golf course it is pretty impressive. You have to be patient because the waitstaff arent just waitstaff they are running the pro shop and the bar as well so it can take a bit to get some attention. Good weekly deals on wings and stuff. Food is solid - I wish they would do something to help out the girls behind the bar seems like they have a lot to handle sometimes and it isnt fair to them or the patrons waiting on food and drink. As far as the course I have been coming here for years they are constantly improving the course which is nice however being a golf course next to an air strip has its own trials. Nothing like a plane taking off at the peak of your backswing. The course is also prone to flooding even though measures have been invested in over the years to ease the water retention.

Didnt actually play the course, just went to hit some balls. Didnt know about the Top Tracer program which ended up being pretty awesome for tracking my shots and seeing how horribly inconsistent my golf game is. Since its on my way back from work I plan on stopping more often.

Very nice range. Very affordable. Wish the putting green wasn’t turf so you could get an accurate putting green but it was a fun experience nonetheless.

I have to say, I was very impressed with this place! It sure has come a long way from the days of Mill Cove!! The greens were very fast and true!! Entire course was in great shape, for this time of the year!! Keep it up.

Right next to a small air strip! Hoppin spot on an mid Saturday afternoon. Looks well kept, staffers are very friendly, was asked twice if I needed any help! Very different from older more well established G&Cs. I will most definitely review more after my round.So I walked my round! It was wonderful! This course is great, I can forsee it getting better with time & attention from the greenkeepers & owners. Lots of air traffic, but it became part of the day, all different types of airplanes taking off, was actually a delight to see on the front 9! Nice diversion. Its a fairly tight course, a smidge of wiggle room, with a few holes that open up from the tee box. Since there are no course maps available yet, I wonder why the superintendent doesnt have the water hazards roped? All in all Ill be back, & possibly a member if the price options are available. Ask to speak with Tim as he was tremendously helpful when I asked about the membership options.

Course is in good shape. Slow play and too many people packed on. Needs some rangering.UPDATE: Played on Oct. 19, 2020 Very slow play. Why dont they have a ranger? On hole #8 There were 4 groups backed-up due to a slow foursome. We finally got around them on #16. Makes for a terrible round. Wont be back for awhile.

A great up and coming public Golf Course where everyone is welcome! They are a newer course so there is plenty of room for improvement to help grow the game for everyone. Wide open fairways and very little sand. An old Arnold Palmer course design that was rejuvenated for all skill levels. There is also great food with daily deals in the clubhouse. Ive even seen a bald eagle flying around!

Always a great place for a business lunch. The view is nice, the menu has a variety of items to choose from and the staff are very helpful.

The rain held off thankfully. Course was looking good. Shot a decent round. I do reccomend this course.

An out-of-the-way dining experience. You can watch golf being played, or play golf, during the day. Or park and watch planes takeoff and land at the executive airport. Good place for a date or to bring the family. Good atmosphere. Friendly, prompt, and reliable staff. Great little spot. Yet another Jacksonville gem.

Blue Sky is hands down the most improved public golf course in Jacksonville. The greens are the best Ive seen them since they reworked them a couple of years ago. They are plenty fast, receptive and look great. The fairways! They look and play better than Ive ever seen them. This course is a completely different animal than it was before Hampton took over operations. That picture is their newest smart use of funds. Its not quite finished just yet but thats a COVERED tee area for the driving range! How great will that be the 6-8 months a year its a sweat bath here in Jax?! No one wants to practice in the sun when its warm or hot. Just beyond that is a new putting green they put in with a synthetic surface. Its the same system many pros & wealthy golf nuts have in their backyards. To the right of that and before the green will be a paver sitting area with seating, lighting and rumor has it eventually an outside kitchen. This course gets plenty of play also. As a threesome we teed off late morning and finished early afternoon. Even after waiting on a lot more shots from the golfers in front of us than I would ever like to we still played in 3 hours and 40 minutes. Ill take that .This golf course has everything a good player wants to see in a challenge and its forgiving enough for beginners. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Went here for a reception recently and had a nice experience. The catered food was delicious - especially the macaroni and cheese. Nice views and a variety of seating options.

Really nice open course ,pace of play was good .Enjoyed the staff very friendly.Full bar which is a plus.Recommended to a few other people already and they say they love it as well.

Course and staff were great. Was able to play with minimum waiting and layout was great. Also was to have a great burger and beers after my round. Will play here again for future visits to area.

Good value. Speed of play is good but the course needs a map of the holes or better signage. The clubhouse is new, clean and the beer was cold. Food was also good.

Surprisingly solid food considering this is a golf place. Beer selection is good enough. Highly recommended for chicken wing night or burger night. Watching the planes fly in is cool.

Great value. Im horrible at golf so its a good place to learn and have fun. Inexpensive and decent grounds. Definitely not focused on customer service, but thats not expected. Right next to an airport, so there are lots of planes and helicopters to watch when you are looking for your lost ball in a pond or a forest!

Went out on a Friday afternoon with my spouse for the driving range. The range has cover overhead so it keeps golfers practicing out of the sun. Very nice. Overhead speakers had the U.S. Open playing, so if you can’t watch while practicing, you can listen. Blue Sky, you guys just get it. Excellent place to practice & play.

Ordered the March special blueberry jalapeno chicken wings.They were pretty good. Not as hot as I thought they would be. Kind of reminded me of baby food puree with a kick. Dont know if Id order them again. Might try another flavor. Cant wait to find out what April special is going to be

Very friendly people. Good prices. The course is wide open and in good shape. Didnt like having to use mats on the driving range. Got rained out on #11, no problem getting a rain check. Only lost 1 ball!! Will go back soon. Thanks.

Great visit.

I play golf all around Jacksonville and blue sky is one of the better ones. Its a long and challenging course which is always maintained in Tip-Top condition. Weekly and daily specials help keep the cost down and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If youre going to play around golf had to Blue Skies you will not be disappointed.

I only use the driving range here Ive been had time to play the actual course yet, but the range feels like it could be better and the extra money for the top golf technology the using doesnt feel extremely accurate

Fun course. Everything about the course has improved in the last two to three years. The green are fast and smooth. They have a new practice facility, not Top Golf, but pretty cool.

Ive been playing here off and on with a group. The group coordinator contacts the course during the week and makes the arrangements; tee-times, cost, etc. The last two times the course did not honor the rate provided by the manager. Today we had 10 players, the rate was suppose to be $40 but the woman at check-in wasnt hearing it and charged us $49 w/tax. This course is far from a $49 golf course...tee boxes are a mess, need to roll the ball in many areas of the fairways to get a decent lie and the greens are slow, bumpy and have dirt in a few places. The food is ok and well priced, the staff is otherwise friendly.

Tried top tracer. Ball cannot be seen if you have high ball flight. Had to hit stingers in order to see flight. Lost about 20 yards,so hard to map club this way. Plus,had no idea where to go. No one to help. It is a bar and grill and not really a pro shop. If you are just playing around I guess ok. If you going to see your distances and map your clubs. Not the ideal place.

Played here on a Saturday in April, a little crowded and no place to hide from the wind, but an overall good experience, course in fine shape, not exclusive, looks like beginners welcome. Somewhat challenging but not pro, priced right. Range looked sweet but did not get a chance to try it. Saw a gator.

Charged $62.06 for todays round of golf! Way too much for a public course. Stated rates are based on how busy they are? Will be last time our group visits this overpriced course.

I am fairly new to golf, but I enjoy this course. It is close to my house and isnt to expensive. The practice area after 12pm is nice also. It is also great because I lose sight of my ball a lot, but their monitors trace the shot for me.Lessons with Brian Kibler was awesome. He is very nice guy and easy to understand. I am a notorious slicer and open face hitter. He pretty much fixed it after the first lesson. Now about 98% of my shots go straight or slightly left and are playable.

Besides the Geese poop everywhere and the gas powered golf carts...this is a great course. Very forgiving. They might pair you up with some other golfers but just break away after the 1st hole

Does Not take into account size of party when booking tee times...booking a party of 4 or more and then booking a tee time 8 minutes later for a party of 2...took almost 5 hours to play a round....also they seem to have over estimated how much to charge for a round....on an just an ok course....i will gladly pay $8 less per round to play a more challenging course 3 minutes down the road

Went here for the 1st time Saturday. I love the setup of the course, had trouble finding #6 though. A lot of the tee boxes where just thrashed. Parts of the cart path were unusable due to being repaired (which at least it shows that they’re trying to make improvements). I agree that the price is a little steep compared to other courses near by. I’d play this course exclusively if it were around $35-$40.

Terrible first impression.Waited to even be acknowledged for 5 minutes, then was greated by being told its a 45 minute wait. Was not even asked if we were there for wings... since it was 50 centwing night. Maybe we wanted a burger. Way to turn away paying customers. Poor management if you advertise specials and dont have the capacity to honor your customers.By the way, there were a ton of seats and tables to seat us....

This is a great golf course. The greens are well taken care of. The course its self, is great for beginners as well as a avid player. I would recommend this course to anyone who asked.

What a turnaround from the last time I played there as mill cove. Good shape, definitely a good for the money. Also a vary laid back atmosphere, not what you find at a lot of courses! Good times

Got in a quick practice round on the range before dinner. The covered hitting area came in handy during the brief shower.

We have eaten here many times. Tonights experience was horrific. We arrived at 545p. We were seated at 605. Our order was taken at 650. Our food arrived at 725p. It was 5 of us. All staff kept saying they catching up and be shortly. Not even an apology just excuses for delay after delay. 30 wings and four sliders. Entire order. Sorry but never again.

Teed off 30 minutes past scheduled tee time. Ranger rude. Ranger refused to address a group that was on the Tee Box for 20 minutes. Go play a legitimate course that recognizes golf etiquette, like South Hampton.
