Marvelous cemetery and park. I fell in love with this park. Its amazing, celebrating the lives of our Confederate Soldiers. Shame on VA for not recognizing them. Learned allot of history in short amount of time just waking, reading, and googling names/dates.Will definitely be back.

This place is totally cool....the playground is definitely haunted as well as some activity in the adjacent cemetery. It is always super crowded though so keep that in mind. Even with there being a lot of folks you still pick up activity and you will most certainly experience the paranormal here!!

Very spooky playground, since it is near the cemetery. Completely shaded area, which also pulls in a chilly feel. My son played on the creaky swings and some of the other playset equipment for about 20 minutes. Nobody else was at the playground, so it was very quiet and peaceful with birds chirping all around us.

Very nice old historic park with lots of neat rock formations since it was an old quarry. Too bad the old equipment was ripped out but at least they put something back in for the families that go there. There are a lot of really old stories about this little park just go and see for yourself its a really neat and beautiful park regardless of whether you believe or not things happen really late when park is closed anyway. They do have a ghost tour and the Maple Hill Cemetery stroll if you want to hear the history of this historic cemetery.

We came by this park on our way home from Nashville.. Of course we had heard that it was haunted and we wanted to see for ourselves. It is in a residential area and the area around the park had a little bit of construction going on with it. We didnt see any restrooms while there and had to go back to Hardees a mile or so away (which was disgusting). The park is peaceful and while I didnt see or hear anything out of the ordinary I absolutely recommend a stop here!

My favorite place in all of Alabama. Sacred and serene, Maple Hill brings peace and clarity to my soul every time I visit. Great place to walk and enjoy Huntsvilles native trees and plants. History is everywhere you look. Truly a magical and vibrant place.

Went here for the reasons most do, just to see what could be seen during the open hours. Park was well kept and clean.

I wanted to visit the Maple Hill Park Cemetery because of its connection with the paranormal. I took a lot of pictures and videos but I havent found anything yet. BUT my Nikon s battery was drained in under 10 minutes and I have a lot of video and pictures that some how just werent on the memory cards. Most were intentional shots and videos of the swings and background that just arent there. We make a nice day of it by stoping by ROCKET CITY on the way back.. If you remember Galaxy and Apollo its a must, they have the Space Shuttle also... Thanks for hearing my babble hope you Go to....

Beautiful historic cemetary with a small park behind it with a shelter and playground equipment.

It was supposed to be haunted, but I noticed that the swings had a long span which made the other swings move on their own while someone else used the swing. It a bowl shape so the wind can circle around and move the swings. I felt nothing here.

Nice to have a peaceful walk not to mention the history there

A friend and I went painted Rock hunting here! It was a chance to relax after visiting the gravesite of my late wife. I walked the Ridgeline surrounding the park/playground and nearly fell off! Wet moss and improper footwear makes things interesting. Would love to try again, you know?

Great time. We went at night. We did get to see the swings move by themselves! Couldnt believe it! I still feel a little skeptical but they were moving side to side towards each other instead of back n forth. We will go back to see if it happens again. Very clean and lovely playground tho.

One of the largest and oldest cemetarys in the south east. It is beautiful to walk and look at the old statues and tombstones.

Dead childrens playground is a great little park, very interesting history. The playground has been updated since the old rocket thingy was there in the 90s

I love that park is inclusive for all children but there isnt nearly enough things to do for how crowded the park is all the time. We frequented the park before the remodel and still do but now there is never any parking (with the exception of street parking. Which is quite far from the actual park). We purchased a personalized picket which is a really nice touch.

Me and my family was their one night at midnight when I got their I heard a wisper that said hello then I got my dad down there it said go away and all the sudden the swing started swinging fast

If you want a nice little quiet little park this is it, a little creepy since it is inside a grave yard but the way it is tucked away is very peaceful....now we went of course to see if we felt any chills from being here and no really didnt, of course we were there in the middle of the day so I am sure at night your mind will allow you to jump to conclusions simply because of the location....but hey we are Huntsville natives gotta at least be able to say we went

Ok, so we were on a ghost app and it saidmary and we were like oh yeah ahahahaha but later on we were researching this place and turns out that the oldest intact grave here is an infant named mary. That might also explain why only the baby swing was moving. And also my friend got some random text from somebody named mary while we were there so... just a very creepy place.....

I had an amazing time here with my pals. A great spooky place to go to at night.

I love the swings!Maple Hill Park is beautiful in the summer. Absolutely No paranormal activity here. Do not believe the dead children hype. Fun for kids to adults.

A beautiful resting place, covering the growing and historic rise from the sixteen hundreds to today. The Halloween tour is something to see. Especially if you want to learn more about Huntsville history.

Was a lot better before the city bulldozed it without authorization, said whoopsie, and replaced the awesome old equipment with something cheap I would expect to find behind a trailer. Nice job bulldozing my childhood the night before it was to be voted on!

It is nice during the daytime. They added some new playground equipment recently. Pretty rock bluffs around the playground area. It is frequented by drug users and teens goofing off after sundown. Often referred to as Dead Childrens Playground based on urban legends of things that happen here after dark.
