Always nice to visit here. So much history and the grounds are beautiful.

The final home of Sam Houston, built as a replica of a Mississippi River steamboat. He died here in 1863.

This historic house is the last place Sam Houston lived and died. The house is set up where you can look in and see the rooms but cannot go inside. The house is apart of the Sam Houston Memorial Museum grounds and is located close to several of his other homes and or historical buildings that have been wonderfully preserved. Highly recommend stopping and taking a look. And fun fact: The Sam Houston State University class rings all spend a night in The Steamboat the night before the ring ceremony.

Great place to visit

Sam Houston park in central Huntsville is. Very nice, multiple exhibits, the museum, a great festival in April and the pond with all the ducks etc is fantastic

It was a lovely sunny afternoon and we enjoyed visiting this museum and historical area. Definitely going back for a return visit!
