Great place. The facilities are very clean, all the exhibits are very well-written and easy to understand for those who dont know much about the topics involved, yet still in depth enough for teaching and entertaining anyone who knows a bit more. I definitely wish I had a bit more time and could come see it without COVID related limitations. One thing that would also be cool to see is the outdoor exhibits being cleaned a bit more since the weather is definitely taking its toll.Id definitely recommend this place is you love space, want to get a scale of how big these iconic crafts are, or even just want somewhere fun to visit. Great gift shop too.

We loved this place! Spent about 3 hours there. The outdoor space known as Rocket Park is in need of some serious maintenance, but we were able to get the general idea of most of the static displays. With COVID it was nice to be outside and enjoy that portion of the Center. Only the G-Force Accelerator ride was operational at the time of our visit (COVID). The outdoor area dedicated to the Space Shuttle was well maintained. Worth the trip.

Had a fantastic time here. They had an extra exhibit set up in one of the other buildings that was great... I feel like theyve left a little of the history out of it, but it was nice... Thinking of the space camp for my grandson. If youve never been and you have an interest in the history of space and rockets, it a great 2 to 3 hour outing.

It was a fun day trip. My family had a great time. Everything was a little high priced. $25 for just the museum was a little much. Also one of the employees wasnt wearing a mask and mingling with the crowds. The exhibits outside were great but very run down. For what once looked like a really cool place it was kind of sad. I wouldnt let those things deter you if you want to visit. I would go again.

The Space and Rocket Center is a staple piece of the Huntsville pie. Huntsville is known for its important part in the success of the space program. Some of the most talented engineers and figures in the space program have either came from here or left their mark here and the Space and Rocket Center celebrates these great men and women and their accomplishments. I remember going to work with my Dad who worked on the ISS and being taken here and having the greatest time learning about all this wealth of space knowledge. Its fun for the whole family so be sure to come and see if youre in the area.

The Space Center is a very interesting place to visit. We thought we might get through the whole thing in 3 hours but we were there for many, many hours and still didnt get to see everything. The museum is excellent. The only things that could use some improvement are: some of the signs have gotten worn and are unreadable, some of the exhibits that were interactive did not work, and some of the buildings were a dirty on the outside. Other than that, it was a great place to visit.

If your a rocket aeronautics enthusiast is a most go. Exhibit are well organized. If you buy a ticket online you can skip the live to go in, is a rookie mistake happens to all of us. Completely wheelchair accessible. With the limit of how many people can enter it give more than enough space to walk around and take your time.

Needs some upkeep, missed part of the $8 movie because the sign said wait for tour guide before entering, guide never showed. I expected to see more actual photos and video from space not cgi. Most outside exhibits need cleaning and paint. An audio option would be nice for the money that was paid.

My wife, kids and I drove from Nashville,Tn to the U.S. Space and Rocker Center. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a fun and educational experience. The Museum was clean and there wasnt a big crowd during our visit, so there wasnt a worry about covid as long as you keep hands cleaned. Staff was friendly and welcoming as well.Due to covid-19, not every building and activity was open, so we didnt get the full experience, but was impressed with everything, but the outdoors portion of the Museum. It seemed like that portion gets neglected and could use a bit of general maintenance. It was still interesting and neat either way. There is a couple Carnival type rides there as well, the only one open at the time was a gravitron type ride, where you get inside of a round structure and you spin to feel higher G-Forces. We had small children with us and opted out of riding it. So, no real review of that, but its there and open, at least while we were there.Overall, it was worth the drive, as we all left with a good experience and memories.

Love the Space and Rocket Center. I was always fascinated about space and the outer limits growing up. Only as an adult was I able to attend the center like I wanted to but it cost, which was no issue for me now. They allow discount for veterans and I was happy to take advantage of it lol. We use to take field trips there every 3 years at my school but it wasn’t enough for me. Unfortunately, as a young black man growing up in a low income area my school did not have the funds to go there every year. Nor could I afford the expensive fee for space camp to attend. Myself as well as other low income students (black, white or whatever) would have loved to go to space camp to learn and experience everything the space camp advertise and provides. Just recently I donated to keep the Space Center from going bankrupt and away. But I was wondering why doesn’t the space center gives out free space camp or nice discounts for the less unfortunate? No matter the race it’s kids of different backgrounds that are fascinated about space just like I was. You never hear about U.S. space and rocket center giving free space camps for area schools. Just like they accepted donations to keep the center going they should offer for the less unfortunate. You never know, maybe the next low income student could produce something for the future.

Start your tour at the Davidson Center. Our group spent most of our time in the older part of the Space & Rocket Center, and while there are great experiences there, the Davidson Center contains the meat of our space exploration achievements. We visited the park on a Sunday and there were actual people with experience in the space program hanging out to answer questions and talk about their observations. The highlight of my day was chatting with Luke Talley, who worked for IBM on the Saturn Instrument Unit. A-W-E-S-O-M-E! We ran out of time before we could get a good look at all of the displays in the Davidson Center. All of the staff we encountered were courteous, friendly, and helpful beginning at the ticket counter, through the ISS mock up, the Mars Grill, and guiding us through a spin on the G-Force.Expect a bit of theme-park inflated prices at the Mars Grill, but the food will make you forget about that after you give it a taste. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was a hearty hunk of breast meat. I was able to fix it to my specifications at the condiment bar. I also had a bite of my wifes hamburger and it was tasty.I cant say enough great things about the wonderful visit we had at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. So much history and technology are at your finger tips. Go for a visit and plan to spend the day!

An okay experience today. I will say the admission price was a little steep for what we got to see. The Apollo exhibit they have was really cool but the lighting was horrible and you could hardly read anything because of the shadows. After that we visited the ISS mock-up and Shuttle park before heading over to the other building. I would like to say they lack water fountains and want you to buy water for $2.25 so plan for that. :(. The Saturn V park was closed because of wet paint which was a huge disappointment. The Saturn V building was probably the best part of the museum. Little disappointed that they did not have anywhere to eat for those who bought their own lunch. We found a shady spot near the dog kennels and immediately got attacked by mosquitoes. They were pretty bad! Overall an average experience. No change when we came out at lunch or when we left in the afternoon. The workers were all very nice and happy to answer questions. Please go, buy things and have fun!On a side note, they are really struggling for cash to keep the operations going, so please go visit and support this amazing place! Also, we camped near by and it was also mostly empty. Hiking trails were empty. Essentially, you can go and have a great time and not worry about social distancing at all. Beautiful hiking.
