Used to be a fun place to hang out. Not so much these days. Cameras supposedly mounted throughout the park make visitors feel like they are being stalked and singled out for harassment by HPD. I havent personally been to Huntington after dark for about 13 years so I dont know if this protection is justified. Also, seems like there is a lot of empty space GHP&RD could make use of. Same goes for Rotary Park. I heard they paved the roads there but still barricade it off to vehicular traffic. All this vacant land ripe for development.

Walked around Pullman square and surrounding area, great shopping and food. Chill vibe on the square where you can just sit and enjoy the day. Little water towers tell the history of the area. And the cute decorated tug boats in the area all make for a memorable evening.

Such a relaxing spot to be during the day. Flowers are very pretty and well kept

5 stars for going there during the day time. If visiting on a day that staff isnt constantly around then you will have a horrible experience. I took my kids here to walk by the water a few months back and people were laying around doing drugs and shooting up on the benches. I have been back since. If you want to enjoy your time there definitely go while staff is there. They keep the area nice and cleaned up. While staff is there Ive never had any issues. My son actually had a hurt finger and they went out of their way to try to find him a bandaid to make it feel better. Very friendly. Nice little Park area which has always been clean when I went. Its a very relaxing park and to learn about the animals in the area along the way is fun. Theres also a book box which is always a hit with my kids.

Beautiful area. Was a great day to sit and watch the barges on the river.

Ok, let me start off it is a beautiful park and plenty to do.. Took my kids to the skate park there and at the very end we notice 2 Homeless men smoking marijuana and my kids ask me what that smell was . Lol I avoided the question and we begun to head the other direction and noticed more homeless people sitting in swings sleeping or laying in the sun in grass. Just wat h out please be careful full.However we loved the workout stations they had .

Nice family place. My grandson loved playing at the park and feeding the geese, ducks and other birds. I even saw a police cruiser drive through, to be sure everyone was safe.

Its a wonderful place to sit and feed the ducks, or play on the playground. I enjoy feeling like a kid, and probably look like a crazy man, but if theres any kids around, I wouldnt swing or anything, just because I feel they should enjoy it more than me. Its great for an evening to watch the sunset. When I worked downtown I would enjoy parking and taking my lunch, watching the river and enjoying the peace. Its pretty safe at night, and being a pretty big guy that could take care of myself, I still avoid being there alone at night. Theres not much good you could get into there other than having your lunch break there in your car if you work nights, anywhere nearby.

This is a beautiful place to relax and take your children to play! There are playgrounds and you can also feed the geese and ducks! Take a picnic lunch one day and enjoy yourself!

We had a blast at the Dawg Dazzle for the 4th of July fireworks show! By far the best fireworks in the area!!

This is a beautiful park! It is great for walking/running. The track is covered in a very fine gravel that is much easier on ones feet than concrete. There is a small creek that runs through the park where you can see some of our local ducks and other various wildlife.

Nice place to sit and think. the nighttime riffraff are hardly dangerous. the river is stinky tho

Beautiful view of the Ohio River. Be very careful about vagrants drug users after dark. It seems as though they hang out in this area, probably due to the public restrooms and shelter. Has a great playground area and boat launch. Several times during the summer there will be music festivals that are normally pretty good. Good park but changes after dark.

I love going here and watching sunsets & also sunrises! The park here is great for my kids to play at because of the many different things for them to play on! If they get tired if playing on the playgrounds then they can swim and play in the water at the boat docks! There is also a small skate park here if you like to play on a skate board! Its family friendly as long as youre not here late at night!

We went to Picnic with the Pops tonight. Mary Wilson from the Supremes was the guest. The event was GREAT. The riverfront park was BEAUTIFUL. We had a wonderful time.

The new park at riverfront park is so nice, Safe place for your kids to play. Near public bathroom which is handicap accessible. They have a nature walk along the river and a skate park on the far end of the park. Everything is kept up nicely!

Need more events for all ages and culture. The Dog Dazzle was ok. Fireworks was not that great. Was better last year.

I wasnt at the Harris Riverfront Park 4 days ago however I had visited this park in the past several times and it is a great place to visited.

I enjoy going to this a lot. The workers are nice and do a great job of making the park look great and they try to keep the riff-raff out.

We love the view of our Ohio River. Plus you can observe ducks and geese.

It really is a beautiful park with a neat playground. Unfortunately, this park seems to attract vagrants and druggies which are especially present during the later hours of the day. The city has done a great job of deterring them in the past, but its still a problem occasionally.

Cute but dangerous. Crackheads there always. It floods. I once saw someone take a dump out on the sidewalk about 15 feet from the bathroom at 11 am. So.. cool. Nice one Huntington.

Nice park...noticed a lot of homeless people hanging around, which is sad...the bathroom was not handicapped accessible. The stall was too small to fit my wheelchair in and the bathroom was very dirty. Overall very nice though.

Enjoy coming coming, never an issue with other people here and they have public restrooms! Even the puppers loves coming here for her walks!

So nice to just sit and watch the river. There is also plenty of arena to walk and run. As well a a playground for children.

Harris riverfront Park is fine and its a nice place to go to set and enjoy the Ohio River it is always nice every time Ive ever been there and I dont know much trouble thats their but across the street from the park or some really nice restaurants that you can go to

I used to love to come here but it is now going down hill. The community has stopped caring about its appearance and allowed drug paraphernalia to sit on the childrens play ground its sad how much it has been let go :-(

There could be a lot more to do at this park, but if youre in downtown Huntington, stop in and check it out for yourself. Fantastic views of the river and the park is always clean.

Always take my dog to the Riverfront Park. This is well maintained. I wouldnt recommend going here after evenings, though.

One of the best places to go and collect ur thoughts or maybe just to chill and take pictures to see what u can make them look like! Good place to take young kids to play and enjoy the great outdoors!!!

A huge park with several things to do and see. Pet friendly, but beware that people still dont always have their animals on leashes. No matter how well behaved you think your dog is, it only takes a second for things to go south.

The park is very relaxing and the wild life is wonderful Ive been there twice already and I love it my baby girl loves the ducks its like magic over there

Its not as beautiful and solemn as it once was.

Love the scenery . Me and my daughter love going down and watching the ducks and geese and the birds and we also feed them and like looking at the river and watching the barges that come down or up the river.

The riverfront park is a decent place DURING THE DAY. Do not get caught out there after night fall. Also, as with the rest of Huntington, just check for needles.

A beautiful view of the Ohio River, the docks are kept up. One of the nicest places in Huntington to visit.

Always a nice time at harris river front...just enjoy walking around....sitting and watching the town move around you.....or feeding the ducks.....you can also have a little photo shoot with friends as i did.....no natter what you pick...like i said its always enjoyable

There was a lot of high water mud and debris closer to the waters edge that was expected but the main upper part was well manicured and great for my Chihuahua named Chi Chi.

I only go there to fish. Its rather quiet. So its relaxing.

The skate park is nice but pales in comparison to Barboursvilles skate park. Once it is finally finished through all three phases it should be a great park.

Nice park, fairly clean, and they keep the grass and flowers looking nice. Good place to watch the sunset, It sets on the Ohio side next to the bridge so pictures of the sunset turn out nice.

Amazing park. Loved the view of Ohio river, and so relaxing. Wife and I visited it after the recent rains that had the water up quite high, still could see were the water went down with the debris but so worth the walk.

Not a safe place to go to at night especially if you are alone. During the day its fine, but does have its fair share of homeless people and beggars but they arent dangerous or even that much of a bother. They have a nice field to play in and the boat dock is available to use and theres always birds/geese/ducks to feed if you have spare oats lying around! Remember bread isnt good for them so Google some alternatives first.

Harris Riverfront Park is a great asset to the city of Huntington, however, its hidden behind the flood-wall so it is easily overlooked.There is a nice, small, playground plus a pleasant walking path with interesting placards posted that can teach you about local flora and fauna. There is also a new, small, skate park that has long been needed within Huntington.The city is currently working on a public-private partnership for redevelopment around the park which should make it an even better place to hangout and enjoy the Ohio river.Finally, the park is host to a variety of cool events throughout the year including the areas premiere beer tasting festival - Rails and Ales.
