The place was amazing and absolutely beautiful. The performance was just perfect and this was my daughter’s first experience at a ballet. The main advice I have for people trying to visit the theater is that firstly, parking is really inexpensive. Compared to other places in the north east where you will be charged close to over $100, we paid only $10 at the parking garage right next to the theater. Secondly, seating was absolutely perfect. For me, there was really no bad seat. Unless you have a particular preference for sitting in a specific location, you will have a great view of the stage no matter where you sit. So if you’re not too fussy, don’t spend the extra dollars trying to find a seat closest to the front. Food however, during the break is a little pricey but it was absolutely delicious and well done. You have exactly 25 minutes to get on line, buy your food, eat and get back into the theater. There is no late entry so if you’re late you will be locked out. Highly recommended.Enjoy the experience.

Best show we have ever experienced!!The theater looks amazing. The ushers were very helpful at helping us find our seats. We enjoyed it so much that this has become a Christmas tradition for us. First timing coming here. My family 9f 4 saw the Nutcracker. It blew us away. My 2 boys both liked it and said they would not mind going to another ballet - both are teenagers so that was surprising to say the least! We sat orchestra level but in the very back. Seats were great, no issues and did not need binoculars. Would recommend checking something out here for anyone. I feel like we will be back in 2020.

The parking was affordable $12. The walk from the garage to the auditorium was elegant. There were ushers at every turn to assist you. The show was fantastic no matter where you are seated. Im just not a fan of how slanted it looks from the upper balcony. I didnt get up until the end of the ballet. Even when existing out of the garage was coordinated and timely.

The Wortham Theater was such an amazing place to go watch The Nutcracker ballet. Not only is it such a beautiful theater inside, but also during intermission there were several places inside selling food and drinks. As well as many tables and areas where you can sit and enjoy your meal or beverage. Cant wait to go watch other performances here.

1st time visiting. The staff explained things very well. Because we were late we were given seats in the late section. Even the view there was good. At intermission we were able to go to our purchased seats. We are on stage left. From here there was an area of the stage we couldnt see. Made me move around a bit to be able to see. The seats were comfy.

I’ve seen the nutcracker ballet with my dad every year for 20 years since I was a little girl. This year was the second year of the new choreography and it was absolutely stunning. The performance was phenomenal, the dancers are all so talented and work so hard to put on such an exquisite show. The costumes are detailed, the stage is gorgeous, and the orchestra is beautiful. The show is flawless as always. The audience is always so courteous and on their best behavior, even the adorable young children dressed up in their cute clothing! The theater itself is decorated so beautiful for Christmas, with trees lit up and they always have a giant gingerbread house baked and on display! It’s my favorite Christmas tradition.

I’ve been only once but very much enjoyed my evening spent at the Wortham. There’s plenty of parking garages nearby as well as places for a post evening drink. My one complaint is that it can be a bit confusing and overwhelming to find the specific theatre your event is located. They do have friendly staff at key spots pointing you in the right direction. Friendly note regarding Cullen theater, when choosing your seat, be advised that the Pit area is just that. You are seated so close to the stage, which is awesome but also not so easy on the neck.

Very nice venue in Downtown Houston! Not a Ballet fan but I took my grandmother who also is not a fan because we won tickets in a raffle and figured why not. The performances were very cool actually and the talent was very talented to say the least. Traffic and parking can be a little tough and navigating to your seats a little more but the staff is helpful if you ask.

We went to see the nutcracker and it was amazing... pack a little snack to go there because the food is really expensive and its not all that. We pay $25 for two slices of cake and one extra small warm coffee, because it was not hot at all and $8 dollars for a small alcoholic beverage that tasted like pure Sprite. The place is great but the food is really not worth it...

A beautiful experience for the ballet , now if I could change one thing its the handicap accessible seating. I dont have a wheelchair; however had to climb down several flights stairs for my seats. They had a much easier, closer way to our seats, or to exit, but the attendant wouldnt allow us to use it, it was a small ramp and didnt care if I could/should not climb the stairs. They have redone the theater completely, and theyve really crammed the seats in..... The only ones that have any room are the donor seating/boxes. In closing, it was a truly once in a lifetime experience, I just wish they would allow handicap to be truly handicap and have a little more room, and limit small children toddler or younger for the later shows, as they dont have patience for the long shows.

The show was lovely, but the theater was cramped and hot. I would expect to at least be reasonably comfortable when enjoying a show downtown. Not to mention I felt like I needed a harness to get into my seat. I know they have to jam us in there to make ends meet, but must they also broil us?

Beautiful place - though the bathrooms leave something to be desired. Waited in line on the main floor for the bathroom for 30 minutes because there are only 5 stalls. If you have to go to the bathroom and are a woman, go to the orchestra floor so that you can actually get in and out in a decent amount of time.

It was clean and easy to get into.We sat 10-12 rows on the bottom to the left of stage which was a good seat but wished we bought a higher up seat. Just because you buy seats up top doesnt mean you wont see the stage. Quite the contrary. Its a better seat. You can see everything and most times its less expensive.

Been Houston Ballet members for some time now....and continue to be. Theyve weathered many challenges and remain professional. Whether unexpected issues or dramatic weather circumstances.... always striving for professionalism. You will not find a more dedicated ballet company than Houston Ballet.... weve always been and continue to be impressed with their efforts. Bring your children as we did....both had different levels of involvement with HB and are still enjoying the results...and now as adults, they continue to show the benefits of the influence of HB and The Wortham Center....may it continue to contribute as it still does now....
