This spot has been the place to go for over a decade. Joe and company create a party atmosphere no matter the day or time. Even with what we are dealing with these days they have found a way for us all to escape our problems and have a fun time even for a minute.

This is my 4th time here. I think is wrong to force a 20% tip on tbe bill. I did not realize it was lumen practice until i read the review. Valet parking is $60 and to park in the front, you hv to pay $100.They hv Latin music last night. Place gets crowded very fast. By midnight, there hardly any place to move. There are 2 dance floors inside and an outdoor patio. I do not know why tbere are complaints of tbe size, but if u compare to Belvedere, which is long and narrow, i would prefer lumen layout.

This is a cool place with a good atmosphere. BUT, the management should replace or teach all their staff some modals and customer service cuz they just don’t like the job or are completely careless while doing it, starting from the guard at the entrance till the waitress. Tips should better be added in a way that whoever is serving you, will give you the best in order to receive the tip.

Hell never been, but just hearing reviews from ladies that appreciate good service and respect and none is given to them. I would not waste my time

Pretty nice and unique spot to kick it with your friends. Pretty rude front door security and valet guys. Drinks are mediocre, but you cansee staff trying, bathrooms are clean, so although this place is really a 3-star, i give it a rating of 4 for all the people who work hard. DJ Andres Astacios made our night as far as playing good music, keeping the crowd intertained, and is actually a Very friendly and kind person! Id come back there in couple of months to see how theyve changed, if they will.

We had bottle service with Adela and before wed even thought of what we wanted, she was there for us. Without her we wouldve gone to another club but the service was the best weve all seen in a very long time. Definitely coming back to see Adela and the crew!!

Worst service Ive ever experienced at a club. Had a table and they still tried to charge us to get in. Treated the girls in front of us completely different. Looked rachet based on the people standing outside anyway. Theres definitely reverse racism in this town. Ill spend my money at a better establishment where everyone is respected.

It was a Friday night on November 15th. My friends and I were heading to Lumen for clubbing and dancing. We were approximately a group of fifteen people. When we got there the whole group was divided into 3 or 4 subgroups, and most of us paid $20 for admission tickets. But a guy in the last subgroup was dressed up with a hoodie and wearing snickers, so the bouncers didn’t let him enter the venue, and a friend of mine, who was next to him couldn’t get in either, not because of his dress code , but simply cause they were together in a group.The other friend of mine, who was at the time inside Lumen, tried to rescue the one who was not allowed to get in the night club for no specific reason.He failed to do so and was kicked out of Lumen and because I was next to him, I ended up in the same situation.The whole bouncers were so disrespectful at that place, so the whole group decided to leave after what happened.It’s not fair for the ones who didn’t do anything wrong to pay the price for others. In addition, we didn’t get our money back.I feel sad about this establishment. They lost fifteen clients for the stupid attitudes of their bouncers. It was my first and last time at Lumen Lounge.

Please pay attention when you pay the bill. Only this morning we discovered that they had charged us 20 percent tip automatically, without asking us. Of course we didn’t t see that, and pay extra tip. So basically they got from us dabble tip! Its just not right.

Save your time, save your money. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My sister booked a section here over the weekend. She booked with a guy named Mikos (and yes, I’m dropping names because I believe in speaking up so no one else will be taken advantage of or mistreated) who supposedly booked her section. When we arrived to the club, she was not on the list. Staff members scattered and had no response as to what was going on. Questions were asked, staff members walked away and never returned...We waited outside of the club for 30 minutes to only be led to a small couch in the way back of the club that only fit 3 people. Mind you, our party consisted of 15 people. Therefore, everyone who could not fit in the section stood wherever they could find a place to stand elsewhere. On top of that, while booking the section Mikos assured my sister that even if she bought 1 bottle and not 2, he would place her in a 2 bottle section since our party was large and just in case we decided to buy another bottle. However, at the club, he blamed my sister for not buying a 2 bottle section and stated that was the reason we were placed in such a small section. However, we have now been informed that the section actually should have consisted of 2 couches—meaning that the people sitting next to us should not have been. Also meaning that this club was over booked and cares more about getting your money than actually providing stellar customer service. All staff members that we encountered were just rude and were absolutely a sketchy representation of the disorganization and chaos that we were presented with. As if I haven’t already said enough, there’s more. While standing around in the club, no waitress or staff ever approached our group to offer bottle service or anything of that nature (it’s already after 1am at this time) and even if we decided to except the bs there is no point when the club closes in less than 1 hour. Although we were upset with the “section” even, if we were to sit back and accept it, no one ever came to provide us with customer service. SO WE LEFT! Sections are not cheap and customer service is everything. No matter how many bottles you decide to purchase....Don’t bother posting a review on Facebook, they will only delete it and block you. So save your time and your hard earned money and go somewhere you feel appreciated. Business is business...club industry or not. Oh, and no reply is needed to rectify the situation. —BUYER BEWARE—

The inside of this place is nice. Parking sucks unless you valet, which is $20. GA is $20 or $40 for the VIP access. They charge who they want though. Not everyone had to pay, it depends on if they like you at the door. Ive done GA and the VIP, but the VIP is not worth it. You are supposed to get free champagne on the VIP side, and every time we asked we kept getting the run around. The DJs also play older music a lot.

Decent club, it gets very crowded to the point u can barely dance or walk but since the place is pretty small that’s understandable. Other than the whole being crowded part, the club itself has a good vibe to it, it’s beautiful inside, the music is on point as well, I enjoyed myself :D

I would not give half a star to this place, I arrived with my husband we paid 60 valet parking and 40 entrance fees and it turns out that I go in and ask for a table and they tell me that they are not available with the club empty. honestly I never return to this place anymore. I do not recommend it to anyone!

Don’t bother getting bottle service here. They water down their liquor, then act like they are God’s gift to earth. Seriously chill out y’all are a busted old club barely hanging on. Feb 2, 2019 supposed to be Victoria secret event but no chocolate cover strawberries nor they didnt have enough or served to customers free champagne. They didnt have enough champagne. I had to ask and staff was not helpful. Staff seemed lost at times. Music, decor, and actually club atmosphere was great! Please work on your staff to be more friendly. Thank you this my experience and this is my first time coming and I was not impressed.

This place is openly, extremely prejudice. Last night around 10:30 my girlfriend and I came here for the first time. At the door, the bouncer asked us if we were there for a party or had bottle service. We werent, so he had us stand behind the rope as if there was some wait to get in, and told us there was a cover. We said ok then he yelled out to the dude taking the money, how much is the cover, dude looked at us and said $10 each. We paid, went in, only to find this place was really empty with the exception of 2 people ordering bottle service, that we’re drinking by themselves.My gf (a sexy stud) orders her regular- Gentlemen’s Jack with coke from the first stuck up bartender, see pictures. The girl tells her we only have 1 bottle of that and she’s not going to open it unless it’s bottle service. How entitled are you when you think you can talk to people like this? I turned around and left on the trash . On my out, I asked to speak with the manager, I explained what happened, he went inside to resolve the issue and invited us back in with the 1st round on the house.So we order from a second bartender, man bun. He tells us “as long as I’ve worked here, we’ve never carried that” so I tell him, well then go tell your manager that bc he doesn’t know that. And he didn’t, and asked us what else we wanted, I proceeded to tell him that his stuck up bartender told us they did have it, then in the middle of me explaining myself, a third bartender, long blonde hair with the cheapest LV tote purse, walking all behind the bar wearing that bag out, cuts me off and tells me what the stuck up bartender said. Like she was there or something?! I told her real quick——can I finish?! So she shut up, rolled her eyes, and walked away. As I finish talking to man bun, someone brings out 2/3 empty bottle of Gentlemen’s Jack and man bun makes our drinks. At this point I’m upset beyond words and tell my gf they just don’t want us here, that’s why they won’t take our money and serve us.We didn’t touch the drinks and walked out. I’ll never return and will see to it that this place and its terrible employees are held responsible for their actions.In conclusion, forget this place. If you don’t look like the pictures they have posted on their website or social media, then they don’t want you or your money here. I hope God forgives the ignorant, self entitled people who work here after they change, or closes down this establishment and sends them all where they belong, back home. I will never return and I ask that everyone whom supports LGBT rights, to boycott this place as well. If you support minority groups, don’t come here, they don’t support you.

The valets seemed kind of rude but they were free I ended up parking my own car though but besides that it was a cool place to hang out at I went on Halloween night and Im only 19 and they let me in which is a big plus took a little bit to get the party started but the DJ finally started playing good songs at 11ish .

This place have really good music, I have never complained about that. All the staff is really friendly, they only problem that they have is the valet parking, they have issues a lot of times. And everything in there is really expensive (overpriced), so be prepared, and bring money.

Excellent service all around.. Valet, greeters, bar backs, bartenders, wait staff, and of course the DJS!!! Ive loved Lumen ever since it opened. They even know my dogs from our evening walks. Im always introducing new people to Lumen and Crimson. And, they always go back. I must share, I dont live far from Lumen, I could easily walk if I wanted to. My sister came to visit from Los Angeles and she said that Lumen atmosphere is just like LA. That night she lost her ID and they did everything to find it. My sister was so lucky that someone found it and gave it to the DJ. We both loved that place.

Up until tonight, I loved Lumen Lounge. Tonight we came in for my birthday party with a group of friends and had a table reserved. All was well, until one of our friends, who was running late, was stopped at the door and prohibited to enter the establishment. He is a very well educated, successful, presentable African-american male who was willing to spend a considerable amount of money at Lumen tonight in celebration of my birthday. He was prohibited to get in by the head bouncer, who was very unprofessional with my friend and was extremely rude to her while she was trying to explain to him that the man at the door was part of the birthday party. It is unacceptable for such a trendy and popular establishment to treat the target clientele of successful young professionals disrespectfully based on race or sex. The music, drinks, interior, and customer service indoors is nice; however, the attitude at the door and the diversity levels have to improve. Please take my review into consideration. I like your establishments and would like to keep bringing my business here with all of my friends.

My favorite club in Houston! Beautiful atmosphere and so much energy with tons of lights and lasers. The staff is very friendly and industry night on Tuesdays is so much fun!

Attended the NYE event yesterday. Due to the Texans renting out the Crimson Lounge everyone was forced to remain on one side of the building. This event was a pre-sale event that didn’t follow through on its offer. VIP price for a $10 experience. Sad to say that the decor outweighs the inside service, guarantees and experience. If ever you see this place is hosting an event please don’t waste your time or your money.

Tuesdays and Fridays are good here. Fun crowd and lots of great music. They also have a large patio, so go check it out

Last night was my first and last time trying out this place. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced and the staff are extremely rude. All hype no substance.

Went to Lumen with a couple people visiting from LA on a Saturday night. We had fun, largely due to DJ Mr. Rogers playing great music and knowing how to keep the crowd going. However, the layout of the lounge could be different. Its basically a bar with a dance floor. There are only like 3 couches which are reserved for people that pay for it. There are 2 tables with chairs near the bar but its so close to the bar that it gets really tight and hard to walk around when the place gets busy. It got so crowded that management came and made us get up from our table and chairs to make more room. *side eye* It looked like there was a small patio but I didnt go outside because it was raining. The DJ mentioned hookah but I never saw anyone smoking hookah and I also dont know where they would have sat the hookahs - there was literally only 2 tables inside plus a few low tables by the couches. Theres an adjacent lounge but it costs $40 to get in and $20 to get into Lumen only. Lumen also had free before 11 if you RSVP on eventbrite. The drinks were VERY pricey. The average price is about $15 even for simple things like a tequila sunrise.One thing that I did like about Lumen is the atmosphere. It was a professional, grown & sexy kind of crowd. There was also a good ratio of men & women. Try it out!

Ive never wrote a review in my whole life, but I feel obligated to warn everyone from this scam. We got tickets for VIP access to lumen & crimson lounge for new years eve. We get there and they say crimson is booked for a privet party. They refused to give us our money back (40$) per ticket. it was a horrible experience would Never go back.

I would most definitely have to give this place a very poor rate. I’ve been here once and must say I enjoyed myself but trying to reserve a section is a headache. I’ve had to text and call multiple times just to get information. Not only are they VERY BAD with responding but the guy over reservations have THE WORST ATTITUDE. I manage a spot myself and customer service is on the top of my list. It can make or break a deal for sure. Totally the wrong person to market or conduct the BUSINESS. It’s truly sad when a customer is inquiring about spending money to reserve a spot and is steered away due to the representative of the club.

This business is within 100 yards of apartments. The sound from the patio carries to my bedroom. Ever. Single. Night. Ive called to complain numerous times. They just keep doing it. Ive absolutely had it with this place. Im calling for a noise complaint every night now.

Very clean awesome and prompt staff didnt wait long for my drinks. waitresss took care of my whole group and the environment was a great experience and safe also they have security in the self parking to make sure when the night is over that you get to your car safe and sound..

We went in after graduation. Held a VIP section. We were not informed everyone on the VIP list must be in by 11:30pm. Half the party was unable to get in. The big bouncer was very rude. I understand they deal with a lot rude people but I asked please explain to me the policy. He decided to be ignorant and said I dont know what you are talking about...you dont have to be rude to everyone. Thats not great customer service.

Went here for a birthday. Got in okay, but the place is dingy and kinda gross on the outside (Dirty water all over in holes in the lot, awkward entrance). The place on the inside was kinda nice. There are two rooms, one crowded where the music is more house. And the other room, more hispanic music, and easier to dance. The music was eargratingly loud and the mixers werent great.The place was horribly hot and there was hooka smoke and water vapor coming from the ceiling that made it even hotter. The only reason we didnt leave earlier was because a friend had left to another club with our car keys.

Decent lounge. Coverage charge was a liitle high for the service privided brhind the entrance doors and my gosh, the drink prices were through the roof. Music was okay and people were dressed nice. I would go back again, but instead try a Friday instead of Saturday. I parked at the Wells Fargo not far of a walk and free from the venue. Car was still there when we returned.

Very nice looking place about all I can say for it. I had two drinks on the table, my gf and mine. A Cleaner took both of them up even thou they were about 3/4 full. Before I could tell him not to take my drinks he threw trash in the cups and took them. I asked him about my drinks and he just looked at me an walked away. I can understand making a mistake but not to get us a replacement drink. It was clear this was part of their training or he was told to collect our drinks. The night was still very early this was our first drink. Dont waste your time with this bar. It wont be around long with this attitude.

The place is quite nice physically, but the overall atmosphere isnt that great, the music is repetitive basically the same song every 12 mins or so. Also music is literally the same genre over and over again it becomes very boring, btw no house whatsoever maybe outside but inside its mostly spanish music. Now Im a fan of spanish music but the DJ overuses songs especially hit songs without any mixing involved, so the club is basically the radio of spanish music turned up really high with lights and a guy who charges 20$ at the entrance. Hope this helps and maybe lumen can try and switch things up, as for myself i wont return in a loooooong while. Its just boring!

Horrible!So we reserved a table / section for my girlfriends birthday and ordered 3 bottles and several a la carte drinks. The club itself is very small but well decorated and upscale but thats about all the positives about this place. We arrived and the table was ready so we went inside but then our friends started to arrive well dressed but were denied entrance even though they were part of our group. The sorry excuse of a bouncer told us that the club was full and no one could come in but yet he would continue to let people arriving in luxury vehicles in. He continued to tell us that we could cancel our table and leave if we didnt like it. To make the story short, only half our our group got in so we could not party with all our friends even though we spent hundreds of dollars there for bottles and drinks. I have to say, I never play the race card but they were racist, classist and overall degrading. If anyone was overweight or just not pretty, they would be denied entrance. I personally will discourage anyone to go there as I dont support establishments that operate in that manner.
