My first time coming here was for the Yelp Elite event for the Silent Disco, it was a lot of fun.Starting off, the club is located in the basement of an office building, which, if you didnt see the door people outside, could be a hard place to locate. They were outside with velvet ropes, so we had no trouble.We walked into a long corridor, after we entered, and were greeted with flutes of champagne. After that, we checked in with the desk to pick our headphones for the silent disco. The nice lady gave a 30 second tutorial and off we were. The headphones had glowing LED lights on each side that changed colors from green to red to blue, according to with of the 3 channels you selected, each had a different genre of live music being played.After a short elevator ride to the basement, we walked out and saw a spacious room with a central dancefloor what was lit from above, very cool. The venue had plenty of seating, but no one was sitting. They also had lots of space and tons of room to dance.I would highly recommend checking out Base. Its a cool spot with great music and refreshing drinks. I know Ill be going back.

If you’re dark complected, don’t waste your time trying to come here. Odds are they’re not going to let you enter anyways. They’ll tell you at the door that only people with table reservations are accepted but that’s not entirely true. When my girlfriend and I tried to get in, this is exactlywhat they told us but a few seconds later, 2 couples were able to get it with no questions asked in regards to their reservations. If you do manage to get in, you’ll see there is no diversity which further strengthens my case.

Be careful of random girls running up, grabbing you and claiming they want to take a picture... theyll end up lifting your wallet. Not a safe place, youll get robbed.

Mt advice to you guys for this Place is not go. Go somewhere else where you can have a fun. The Lady Manager got attitudes. Also She dont know how to respect people. This Place is horrible.If your not white dont even try going here. They are racist.

Awesome hidden upscale nightclub! Everyone is trying to get in this club. Definitely come well-dressed and expect an experience like none other in Houston!

If you’re not white... don’t try...I saw a white dude get in with just a white tee. But the bouncer told me I couldn’t get in because of my shoes... my guy! They were dress shoes

A group of girls tried to get in. We were told reservations only , you cant get in at all, if you dont make a reservation.I guess he simply didnt like us.

Love it. Upper scale and clean. Highly recommend it. New hotspot in downtown. Dont come looking ratchet, you can expect that elsewhere. People that are complaining need to grow some thicker skin. This isnt a kiddie club.

When did golf polos start trending again?I thought I transported to Huntsville or some college town from the looks of the crowd.Save your money and visit any of the other bars down Main.Update: I have been informed that the crowd is different depending on the day. I was there on a Saturday night.

If you want to watch people bribe their way in, in front of you while you wait in line. Come here. Great place for pompous people to bribe their way in like its ducking India lol.

High end nightclub with great EDM music & DJ. Highly recommend it.

Racist bar that didnt allow my group of friends to enter despite our willingness to buy a table or buy bottles. If you’re Asian, good luck trying to get in. If you’re white, you won’t have a problem.

The other reviews are correct. this place is itching for a racial discrimination lawsuit - just like how that one bar Gaslamp in midtown went through a few years ago. pretty sure this place will see something like that soon. however, my friends and i still wanted to see what the newest, hot club, Base, was all about, so we dressed to impress and got there at 10:15pm. we had 3 girls, 2 guys. our group consisted of Asian and Hispanic folks - we all take care of ourselves and workout. the bouncer (stout 6 2 male, introduced himself as Jeremy) told us the same story that you see in some of the reviews below when we got there. Jeremy told us that the club was not open yet and that a table would cost us 700$, but we would not even be able to get one because they were already sold out. he told us if we came back soon, we would be able to get inside. we thanked him, shook his hand, and, decided to grab a bite to eat right next door at the sushi restaurant with outside seating - just to people watch. we watched for 45 minutes group after groups of caucasian folks walk in with no issues. tshirts seemed to be okay attire. heres the social experiment we witnessed. two of our friends (a couple) showed up as we were eating and said they were here to check out Base (black male, white female). as a group of white people walked in, they joined in at the tail-end. . . everybody walked in with ease, but they tried to stop him until his white girlfriend told the bouncers that he was with them. the group they joined did not have bottle service. in fact, nobody inside at that time (before 11pm) were sitting at tables. at 11pm, we went up to Jeremy as he told a group of multi-ethnicity males to stand off to the side. hm - we thought. Jeremy gave us the same story and asked us to wait. we asked, why? he could not give us a answer other than you guys cant come in right now. later in the night, we made conversation with two nice caucasian girls and they mentioned Base, so we asked if theyve ever waited in line or had to buy bottles - they said no, never! its such a fun place. looking through the Facebook pages pictures i guess it does seem like a fun place - if you look a certain way.

My experience on Saturday July 13th was horrible. The bouncer informed us they open at 11 pm. It was around 10:40 so me and my boyfriend went to Henke and Pilot to grab a drink and wait a few minutes. We came back around 11:10 and the same bouncer said they don’t take the “general public” until 12:30. We would need a reservation to get in, according to him. He did not mention this earlier. He let in several people of a lighter skin palate in without asking them for a reservation. Saw another group of colored people not be allowed in. I was very excited to try a new place out but apparently I had too much melanin in my skin. When I asked the bouncer why he was letting certain people in he immediately got defensive and said we would not be allowed in because we were implying that he was racist.

The people who work there are racist . We were told they were only letting people in who do bottle service, but there was a guy going around whispering to people behind us to go in. Waited for thirty minutes. Ended up leaving.

Save your money and go elsewhere. Dead crowd and terrible service, I rather go to henke and pilot or boots n shoot.

Very bad, they make you stand in line forever, while others get in, a lot of people get turned away , don’t know why, not recommended
