Been fequenting the Spot Lounge & Bar since its ignargrual opening in 2006. Pound-for-pound the best bar in Houston! Owners are nice, the crowd is great, and the drinks are reasonable and damn good! This is the bar where everyone knows your name and youll be glad you came!

Good environment, nice crowd, live DJs. Everybody having a good time all in peace. Definitely will be my number one spot to go to every time Im in Houston. Much love from California.

This is the perfect Sunday day place to chill and having a few drinks. This place is small so getting there early is highly recommended. I normally leave before the night time, but if your looking for a day time drinking spot for vibe, this is a good spot to try. Dj always on point.

I wouldnt exactly say this place is a lounge. Do they have booths and benches to sit? Yes, however you dont really get the lounge feeling in this particular environment. Its more of a club feel for a younger crowd with very loud music. I would say it is a great place for 21-30 year olds looking to have a great time, just wasnt the atmosphere I was seeking.

Absolutely one of my fav “ hole in the wall” spots , always good chill vibe, good music, drinks I am HOWEVER a bit concerned about the capacity during COVID-19 and i was totally taken aback how nobody had on mask, it was jammed packed , on a Sunday which isnt uncommon but during this time , why is this bar not enforcing social distancing guidelines? It was too many people my friend and i stayed but we just hung out outside across the street to keep our own distance .. it was a nice day out . Just be cautious and use your own judgement if you go

Definitely a hole in the wall spot. Drinks were okay. Music wasnt really dance music and there was much room to dance anyway. The hookah was good.

Anytime I swing by here, its always a great vibe. I love that its hidden away. The people are so chill, the bartenders are amazing, its just an overall good spot!

The vibe in this place is fantastic. It was an atmosphere with no drama and positive vibes. I laughed joked and danced with total strangers. Everyone was friendly bc of the environment and the music! I havent enjoyed myself like I did here in a long time. I absolutely will make this a place I return too.

Crowded but I had a lot of fun. The bartenders are very liberal with the alcohol which is a huge plus. The DJ was on point the whole night. Wish I could rate 4.5 minus a .5 for the bathroom

Dropped by here after work on a Tuesday when I saw my commute was going to be 90 minutes instead of 40, not even realizing it was a bar (I looked for top rated food;. Oops).This is a bare bones bar with a super friendly, fun crowd and nice, prompt and generous bartenders. Music was loud and fun, with spontaneous dancing, singing by the bar. The Astros game was on and some fans were hanging around watching, some were playing chess while another was making complimentary tacos outside in honor of another patrons (Terry?) birthday. Felt like everyone were regulars, part of a family and the laughter just kept coming. I didnt know anyone, but still had a good time even though I mightve stuck out like a sore thumb. Great place to unwind, hang out and chat after a long day. Recommend for a unique, light experience.

If you want to listen to the current and older rap music this is the place to go along with the drinks. The DJ is excellent. The drinks arent diluted with other liquids. They are strong. The inside isnt big but just right to come and have a drink or two.

This cool Spot right here is the livest places in 3rd ward when I go home to chill. Its almost like being in my livingroom with a whole lot of cool strangers just partying with no problems. You should check this place out, if you want to relax, drink, or just chill. Oh, and the Djs are also off the chain with the music.

Great Music

Great drinks and the fun loving HBCU crowd. This bar is a go to. The music is great. Its a no frills style bar so casual dress is cool. Though I have swung by in a dress after a gala. Still had a good time. Dancing may pop off at any moment in this place. Sunday evenings are a popular.

Houston Classic Hot Spot for cool drinks and great music!

This bar is mellow has good vibes an isnt overpriced I always grab a drink here before a show @ The Glass House! Recently theyve made a stage in the corner wile it made the area a little smaller it definitely fits the bar cause its basically part of The Glass House and this is a great place to escape from the show for a little bit and grab a drink before your trip to the circle pit!

I dont know how they managed to get the perfect combination of professional & hood patrons in one place, but theyve mastered it! My favorite day to go is Sunday (Sunday Funday) although the drinks are the best price & just as strong any other day of the week. Bartenders are friendly & usually pretty good about managing the bar, although it can get kinda crazy when its crowded. If you walk in and theres not much of a crowd, fear not: people are definitely coming! Food is offered (for free & sometimes for purchase) & you can even bring your own! Dont try to bring your own drinks though, they dont play that. The regulars are like a big happy family but the DJ happily welcomes the newbies. Speaking of the DJ, its not the same one every day, they rotate the same few throughout the week, but theyre all great...just depends on what you feel like hearing. The owners are super cool. Its just a fun place to be.

No waiting for a drink here. Bartenders are mature and fast fast fast. Music is great and always fun. However finding a parking spot may take you 15 to 30 minutes depending on what time you drop in.

It is not too crowded on a weekday. Drinks are STRONG! Small place and sort of difficult to find parking.

Not a person that likes clubs, but when hub wants to go I accompany sometimes (not many times at all). Kim is the best bartender EVER!! She gets the drinks perfect for hubby and even lite for me since Im not a drinker. She is the reason I give 4 stars.

I went here back in February with a friend who lives here. I was impressed. Yes its hood and I love it. It was good vibes here. They played good southern rap from all across the board. It did take a while to get your drinks due to the crowd. Im from Georgia and we like to order buckets of beer with ice. It seem that they werent use to that here. No complaints tho. I loved it and will return. There were some nice women in here and they were friendly. This didnt appear to be a place where dudes fight at either.

It’s a very small spot .. a hole in the wall- so to speak. You can go there for a quick drink before heading out, or make it a pit stop. The drinks are reasonably priced and the vibe is what you make it. Who you’re with makes a big difference as well. The music has been good the few times I have gone. Definitely not somewhere you need to get dressed up for- super laid back...a little hood. The place just make me nervous because of the small size and the whole one way in and one way out situation.

This is definitely a go-to spot for drinks of any kind and a great scene for local hip-hop bars. In the early afternoons they play old school R&B and sometimes popular favorites. I like the atmosphere and the bartenders are really conversational. It is a great place to meet up with a few friends right after work. Late night it gets pretty crowded so if you dont like that type of atmosphere try to go early.

I went during memorial day weekend while visiting my cousin. We went on Friday night. AWESOME drinks, good DJ, and a cool atmosphere. It was a little crowded but everybody was so friendly and courteous. Id go back again.

The Spot is a great place with a fun and laid back atmosphere. The drinks are good and the Dj keeps the party going. You have a choice of inside or outside but either location is great.
