Five stars because even though the place was mostly empty of exhibits, it was free because of covid. Ill be coming back once they have more exhibits on display.

If you want visit exhibits or host a field trip for your students then this is the place. They have a theater for shows they may hold and it’s a well designed building in comparison to to the others around it. Come out and check it out!

The best polite museum in Houston Texas.Asia Society Center is an amazing place if you are looking to have a great time with friends or family. They offer movie nights at a really affordable price. Their best qualities is their service. The fun things they offer are movie nights, business day (in which they have business men, food trucks, and games) and the exhibitions. In their exhibition they explain how the Asia community migrated and fun facts. The person at the front desk is very nice and also helps you out with parking and any concern you may have. It is a very clean place, the restrooms in other places may be always dirty because they are public. However, the restroom at Asia Society Center are always clean and the cleaning lady is always there making sure they are always in great fit. They have games and food trucks outside during business day. They have famous business men that you can take pictures with and are very polite. They do not mind you take pictures with the actors that go during movie night nor business men. They have a beautiful waterfall where you can take pictures. They have exclusive parking for visitors at a really low price and is just across the street. The only thing is you need a debit or credit card in order to park there. You can also park on the sides for free until the parking spots run out. They are around 20-30 available for free. I would extremely recommend this place if you are looking the have fun and also learn about the Asia community.

WOW! Where do I even start? First of all, the building itself is gorgeous. I love the infinity pool/reflection pool on the rooftop -- what a tranquil and impressive water feature! When you sit in front of it you can see the steam rising and if you sit close to the floor or on the floor, you cant see much else, so it feels like youre in another world. For the past two summers, Ive been lucky enough to be part of the video game making camp that is held there, and the facility for education is phenomenal. Its like having a whole city under one roof -- you have the water feature, a state of the art education room with wall dividers, outlets in the floor, and three separate drop down projection screens, and off from that room is a bamboo garden that is accessible if it is not too hot outside. On the other side of the second floor from the education area is a five room art gallery, where a variety of Asian artists display their work. The exhibits change frequently, so theres always something new to see. There are also art exhibits on the first floor that change out every so often and highlight other artists, sometimes local artists work. The facility itself is very clean and neat, and the floors are made of limestone from the Jurassic period. There is also a fantastic auditorium with a great stage for various types of theatrical events. I have never been to one of the events there, but I want to go. It is just such a lovely place to think, visit, work and just be.

We have always heard nothing but positive reviews about this place and passed by it several times in the past. Finally made a visit almost on a whim and could not have been happier with the impressive quality in both the magnificent architecture of the building and the excellence of the exhibits (at the time of our visit, it was Wondrous World - Art & Islam through Time and Space). We highly recommend everyone to visit here. If for nothing else, sitting by and looking out at the fountain patio (pictured) upstairs alone is well worth the tranquil and mindful atmosphere this place so successfully represent.

I love this place. It has performances and festivals all centered in Asian cultures. The facility is immaculate. The architecture is super modern and futuristic. I may be a little old fashioned. I felt very content and I want to visit Asia Society more often. Yes, I got my membership and Ill be back.

Marvelous design of the building, art was aesthetic and out of the world. On top of that had a huge chance to see tons of Master Joshi’s and imitating senpei. Creation based on detrimental fuel of the mind proved to be perfect.

This is a wonderful museum inside a gorgeously tranquil modern structure with an infinity reflection pool. The staff are always cordial and helpful, especially the always pleasant front desk personnel. The exhibitions are quite beautiful as well as thought-provoking. There are many free events throughout the year, such as the week-long Spring Break family activities and the outdoor Night Market with local vendors and food trucks. The Asia Society also hosts many ticketed seminars, classes, concerts, and summer camps. The museum has a designated parking lot for $5 (card only), and there are parking attendants present for assistance. Additionally, there is usually street parking that is free. There is an accessible elevator to reach the 2nd level; the community activity room, another gallery, and the reflection pool are upstairs. There is an accessible ramp down to the auditorium; films and live performances are shown there. The The Pondi cafe has nice delicious items, though they could be a little pricey but worth the cost.

Update November 2019: I finally made it here for a Night Market and it was worth the wait! Food trucks in the street outside (blocked off), all sorts of vendors in booths, and a beer garden. Lots going on in the building too. Its definitely worth coming out for their special events and family days; its always worthwhile! Parking can be challenging but persist. Youll love it :)Serene and beautiful building that houses art displays and performances. Ive been here for Japanese Noh theater, for other performances, and to visit exhibitions. Everything is always interesting and beautiful. Its set in lovely grounds and the infinity pool upstairs is arresting and lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing space for events. I hosted several events at the facility in 2014. The space is amazing, convenient for visitors and offers free parking as well as easy access via rail. The in-house caterer was easy to work with and the variety of food was always tasty and well received. They worked within our budget to find best menu options for our audiences/guests.

One of the great intercultural activity spot in tow. They do events, exhibitions, conferences seminars all type of activities you can imagine. The Asian society sits in an architectural beauty building that completely for the environment it is actually itself creates an environment in an environment. Liked it too much. Yoshio Taniguchi is the architecture of the building.
