Went this past Sunday and only a couple of dancers can actually dance. Most were very low energy, almost lazy with their performances. Journey, however, was amazing. Great body, great moves.The food was ok. Maybe a bit over priced. Bartender that night was horrible.

I really want to give this place five stars. Not for couples. Anyone else- 5 The cover was $15, super reasonable. The layout/building is from a beautiful fantasy. Music was a great mix. Bathrooms were clean. We ordered food and it wasn’t any extraordinary but it was good food.My husband and i frequent strip clubs. This was the first one ever that they gave us an older fully dressed server. However, any single man got a beautiful cocktail server. (Ruth was perfectly nice and great. Not complaining..it’s just wild)This was the first strip club we’ve been to that we weren’t approached by any dancer. 1 hour goes by and i decide to go up to a dancer that i caught my eye. I was basically blew off.So finally we threw enough money one girl comes over. We come with stacks prepared. We pay for two dances.. she takes us back to the room and homegirl gives my husband both dances. Which is completely okay. We’ve just never had that happen. Usually they are like “yassss who’s first?” but cool. Just not our place. Dance was A1.. Well looked like it from my view. We left immediately after. It’s 2020, couples come together to enjoy dancers together.I’m leaving this review telling y’all we’re 26, young, beautiful couple. Not some unattractive werido couple. It’s cool. We won’t be back. However, great place! Great atmosphere. I didn’t take a look at the receipt in detail but it was around $100 for us both to eat and then drink constantly the entire night.(Note:non tipping groups are blocking the stage from people even being able to tip.so annoying..however i’m sure that annoys the dancers/owners as well)

My cousin was visiting from Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and I bragged to him about this place because it was great a few years back when I went. We both had pockets full of money. It was a Friday night and the place was packed. We did not get approached for a lap dance by one girl even though we were tipping the dancers. Neither of us are bad looking and both nicely dressed. I guess it was because we were black. The girls were still looking fine. My only reason for an extra star. I wont waste my time again.

My husband and I went to the St James Saturday night and had a great time with the girls there. They were all very beautiful and friendly. Definitely couples and lady friendly place. The inside of the club is gorgeous, the food was great and drinks were fantastic! Definitely going back!

DANCER STOLE MONEYNext to last dance of evening. Shy friend wanted girl to dance for him. I approached and gave girl on stage $100, specifically pointing out to girl the gentleman that I wanted her to dance for and informed her gentlemans name was Paul. She acknowledged arrangement and said she would come over after her on-stage dance. Girl took off with money and snuck out the back of the club. When I reported to management, he initially appeared helpful and then accused me of placing money on stage making it stage and not dance money.I informed the manager in a courteous and polite manner that if matter was not addressed that that they could keep money and I would post appropriate reviews on-line.Manager accused me of threatening him and establishment, and did so himself in a threatening and menacing manner.Manager instructed very large bouncer to escort friend and myself out of club and instructed bouncer to keep me out PERIOD.when told management to keep money but that I would post appropriate review. I have NEVER had anything like this happen nor have I ever been treated in such a way before.The manager was absolutely thuggish acting. But dont believe me. Read some of the other reviews concerning management.If you want to relax and have a drink while looking at attractive women, your money is better spent in some other gentlemans club where they know how to act and treat their customers like gentlemen.

Not a very good variety of women, many of them looked the same. The 2 women I spoke to were drunk and had snippy attitudes, but were super quick to offer other services upstairs. Im a man, so hell yeah I love the offer, but not to a drunk, money hungry robot who acts like she doesnt even want to be there.

No show on stage at 4 pm?! Then I got served 2 Perrier bottles with broken seals that was clearly tap water, as it was very flat. I tried to tip $3, on 2 tap waters and instead the waitress kept $8 change (on top of the $12 for 2 waters)! Then when asked if I wanted another “Perrier” the waitress brought it anyway after I declined! I won’t be back!!! I think $6 for a sparkling water should be enough to make a profit without having to refill the bottles with tap water! What a scam. On a positive note the service at the front door was outstanding.

Went here last night 12-1 all I can say is fantastic. Beautiful ladies, friendly service, good food. Ive seen the few bad reviews on here and can only say was not my experience. Had a great time and will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Bartenders are second to none. What else can you ask for? Lovely dancers and friendly waitresses. By far the BEST CLUB in Texas.

This place was my first strip club experience and it was pretty decent. I had private dances from a few different girls and each one was clear about how much itd be and there were no sneaky tactics to swindle me or anything like that. There was a nice mix of girls in regards to race, features and sizes. Our waitress was cute and attentive. Drinks were expensive but thats what you expect at a place like this. Overall I was very satisfied. Id come back again.

The St. James is a classy place with attractive, fit, friendly dancers. However if you are a woman/couple this is not the most welcoming club. The managers make you feel unwelcome and the dancers will rarely pay attention to you since policies mean they cant really make any money from you. If you are a woman and want more detail I talk about my experiences as a female patron there in my wordpress blog: just a girl who loves strippers. If you are a guy, go, youll have a good time, classy place, great girls, if you are a couple, its still nice, but dont expect too much beyond a stage show.

Best strip club to see it rain. You will see thousands of dollars getting thrown from upstairs while the girls are dancing. They literally use brooms to sweep it all up. Watch private dances by not so good looking girls.. They will change prices without notice. The pool next to the helicopter landing was out of a movie. The Hispanic thick twins are out of this world!

Great atmosphere, clean, skilled dancers, not smarmy.... Ive always felt comfortable and safe as a female guest of the club.

Visiting to see the super bowl lineup and based on reviews and my friends word this was supposedly the best place. There was some special regular big shot there, and management kept on putting his favorite girls on stage which just happened to be very unattractive over weight dancers which I would not expect to even be hired at the best place in town. All I have to say to management is, that special regular was not the only customer in there be more professional. Not everyone wants to see some fat hogs up there.

As these places go, this is by far the classiest such establishment that Ive encountered in the Houston area.

Ron and waitress Kat are the reason this place is failing. Ron fails to see waitress Kat pimping out girls throughout his club and how bad she is making the Club look not just with this, but with her crappy attitude. She constantly gossips about dancers/customers/management and spreads lies and I am only looking to come here as an escape from the drama. This place used to be fun, now it’s the furthest thing from that. This place has really fallen off. Such a disappointment and maybe Ron will wake up and make some serious changes.

I love this place. Went there on a Wednesday and it was moderately busy. There were plenty of girls. A great mix too.Diverse over many ethnicities and body types. Some 10s, some cute girls with big butts, some girls just not my type, but no dogs. The club was well laid out I thought. With a main stage and two satellite stages. Lots of TVs if you want to catch a game while youre there. I ordered from the menu and got the filet. I never thought that I would say this, but it was absolutely incredible...and not at all expensive. My waitress was not a dancer but was professional and friendly. All the waitresses dressed in fairly normal attire. I got some private dances (3 songs each) and had a great experience with each girl. None of the girls were pushy or shady. Next time i will probably get bottle service though. Since it was my first time, i wanted to catch the vibe of the place and not go full baller. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Also, the music played was of a very wide variety, which I appreciate. I had a chance to talk to the manager. Great guy and was very friendly, he kept coming back to check on me to see if I was having a good time. I valeted my high end sports car and had a good experience with that as well. I felt my car was safe in their hands. I have been to many strip clubs around Houston, and St James is, by far, my favorite. I will be going back.

The only bad thing about this place is that it is too far from Austin. I had a girl who I met in Austin. When she moved to Houston she went to work there. We had it on for the first time in one of their little rooms. We did it a lot of times there. Then the place was busted a couple of times by the police and several of the girls landed in jail for a night, and my friend got really scared and stop dancing there. I have been there every time I get to Houston and it is never disappointing, if you know what i mean. If you have the money pay for the VIP section is fantastic (the managers leave you and your girl totally alone)

Lots of prostitution extremely aggressive money hungry women with little respect for themselves. almost positive the place has bed bugs, most of the girls complained of not sitting on the chairs in regards to getting bites on them.

Beautiful club

A night of fun turned into a night of hell ending with my husband getting his arm broken by police from the force of them slamming him to ground for no reason and an african nigerian decent valet driver assaulting me by slapping me not once but TWICE for no reason..... we were trying to leave and the valet driver refused to let us and i didnt understand why b/c i parked my own car..the cops were called and in the mist of the driver slapping me the manager at the club didnt do anything about it when he was standing there watching ..... we ended up being released by police b/c we didnt do anything wrong, but yet nothing was done about the assault against me by the valet driver, so i plan to get an attorney and take this further with internal affairs as well for my husbands broken arm, which was so badly broken that he ended up needing surgery. This place is heartless and unprofessional and i am going to pull the race card simply because we were treated like criminals and i feel because we were an interracial couple.

If I could shut this dump down I would. I just learned of some info of a young woman that was a dancer here that was being raped in the late hours of business. Apparently it was set up by another one of the dancers that’s been here by the name of Stephanie. Where’s security? What club has private rooms with no security posted?

Plenty of nice looking girls (all, shapes, sizes and nationalities), friendly wait staff, prices about the same as any other in Houston. went on a Friday at about 6:45 and stayed until 11:30. Strange menu - New york Strip is $25 and they say they do not have a ribeye, but you can get the Rib-eye sandwhich for 9 dollars and its huge.. :) If you want a steak then order the ribeye sandwich and just remove the bread.Food taste I would rate about 6-7 out of 10, not the best quality but better than some regular places.

Im disappointed, ended up playing games with my phone, place is so boring, girls WILL NOT come to you and/or ask you for dance, I took a pic to send to my friend to have him come over, a waitress asked me to open my pictures and delete that one picture, then go to deleted items and clear it, and all the time she was looking at my private photos just to make sure I deleted that one photo, ppl, there are more gentlemen clubs in the great area of Houston that will (RESPECT) what a gentlemen wants!
