The most beautiful day and weather for our first visit to Garvan Gardens. So peaceful and wonderful walk. We were greeted by George the Peacock at the entrance. Such a beautiful place, I can only imagine what it is like in Spring! There were still some beautiful flowers to enjoy. The waterfalls are most enjoyable! The chapel was lovely, we just sat and enjoyed the quietness!

A artificial garden with lots of trees, lawns, ponds. Situated in the arms of Ouachita river and lake, it has nice views and places to click photos. Some artificial buildings like chapel, tree house are situated inside the garden. The tree house is not that great and so is the chapel, but lake view is nice. The ponds have fishes and small waterfall.A small and nice place to spend your evening.

Nicest place in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Maintained by University of Arkansas and donations. Cost for entrance is $15, with discounts for minors and seniors.Peacocks roam all over but when I went in November I only saw them by the entrance Nice lights in the holidays so would be worth it to go closer to sunset to see the garden then the lights in all their glory after dark.

Gorgeous gardens spread out over many many acres. We saw so many gorgeous flowers perfectly nestled and arranged even in the Fall! I can only imagine it in the Spring! The architecture of the buildings is something quite magnificent! The chapel was closed for a wedding on a Saturday, but we got to see the outside, which was beautiful. We spent about an hour there due to some time constraints, but you could easily spend 2-3 hours there strolling along the trails.

This place is amazing. It is as much of an attraction as the hot springs town itself. Initially I read online that 90 mins is the time one should spend here. But thats a huge underestimate. Take half a day to fully view this place. The chapel and the tree house are beautiful but over the garden I very well maintained and beautiful. You cant go in the chapel because of covid but its as beautiful from the outside

Visited the gardens here during COVID, and they were well prepared to handle the crowd. Theres plenty of space to find your own paths and views in the gardens here.Be sure to bring food and water, this place is huge and its easy to spend all day here. They do offer some water, soda, and snacks in the gift shop if you need them.Bring a camera and/or some binoculars. There are some great plants, insects, animals and views to be seen here.As far as accessibility goes, not all the trails are really wheelchair friendly, but theyve made an effort to create and mark many smooth trails throughout the gardens.

Only thing I can say bad about the place is it is TOO big! We got most of the way through and it wore us out! Absolutely gorgeous Japanese garden and the kids will love all the rocks and steps and places to explore. The treehouse area is phenomenal. We did the entire nature preserve loop and it did us in! Make sure you have good walking shoes and a bottle of water if you intend to explore. It will take you the better part of a day to see it all.

Amazingly beautiful! I couldn’t believe how majestic the Anthony Chapel is in person. There was a wedding going on at the time we were there and you could tell just how much more magical the wedding was from being there. I highly recommend walking the entire path all the way to the overlook so you can see the beautiful Lake Hamilton. These are just a few pictures!! So pretty in the fall.

This was a very nicely kept place with plenty of beautiful scenery. Cost was about in line with most national park type places. The walking paths are clear and easy to manage. Beautiful gardens & well worth the price of admission. Quite a few streams & waterfall features scattered throughout the gardens. The chapel is tucked over to the right side, if facing the entrance, so dont miss this. Only con is that I wish they opened earlier so could walk in the morning before the heat of the day (especially in summer). There are some hills so would recommend good walking shoes & bringing water.

For the price, I expected something nicer than what Id experience at a public park, instead I was treated to, well, something Id consider shoddy even if it were a public park. Ive paid half the price to visit zoos with nicer landscaping AND animals. If youre into paying high fees to visit a poorly maintained park, youll love this place, if not, save your money, drive down the road and visit a free park thats somehow kept more presentable.

Pretty place for a stroll but NOT worth the $15 per person entrance fee. They charge $5 for dogs to go in. You’ll walk around trees, see flowers, and a few small water structures. If you want to feed the koi fish you “donate” money for that too. Anthony chapel next door is nice but if there is a wedding at the time, as seems to be the case on weekends, they don’t let you in or even let you take a picture from the outside. You’re better off visiting Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs. Nicer location and almost an identical structure.

This is one of the most beautiful garden parks I’ve ever seen (and I’ve traveled a lot and lived in 4 different countries). We live at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and we hike almost every day, so it was a delightful experience to see the contrast in nature between East TN and Southwest AR. The wildflower overlook, the various bridges, the treehouse and chapel should not be missed if you make it to these magical botanical gardens! Allow for at least 2 hours, but you could spend an entire day here.

We visited Garvan Gardens during our stay at Lake Catherine State Park. Garvan is a must-do if you are near Hot Springs. The flowers were beautiful, as were the waterfalls and the views of Lake Hamilton. There were lots of people there with their dogs (this a pet-friendly place), so we plan to bring our dog with us next year when we return to Arkansas. Super cool place to relax and take in nature, even if youre not an outdoors person. We were impressed with the bounty of colors in the fall garden. I thought the teens might be bored, but they loved the cave, boulders and waterfall, and took lots of pics for their Instagram. The treehouse was beyond cool.
