Great park to bring your little ones too. Something for everyone from 4 Basketball courts, swings, slides, walking trails, the war museum, a pavilion you can rent for events, grills for cookouts. Its beautiful! You have to rent the pavilion but its worth it because you get an awesome view of the park so u can chill and watch your kids at the same time.

The National Civil Museum was great more to see than what I expected!!

Its a clean and beautiful environment, u can walk, jog,run, work-out whatever ur twist maybe, take the kids to the play ground, they also offer arts & craft, recreational projects for the kid, concerts, movies and so much more . . .

Went to see ZOOTOPIA. Got more than just a movie. Parks and rec made us feel at home and like family!

Wide open spaces beautiful views

This is my first time visiting RP and I am amazed by how beautiful this park is. If you have family or if you are solo (like myself) there are many sites, and views. This park is great for any event or if you just want to walk/jog/run (not bad for 85 acres). I will definitely keep returning back here.

The name really says it all! Yes, it really is a Reservoir. But it is a Park with basketball hoops and a nice playground for the kiddos to play as well. The city keeps the park clean & a nice place to hold public events as well.

Great park. Loved it since I was a kid. It brings back a lot of memories. Summer without Reservoir Park is a tragedy.

Very nice park with great city views. We saw the largest red fox walking around on our visit here. It decided to sit down about 50 feet from us off the walking path. It just sat and watched us like we watched it. It couldve cared less about us. It was such a neat thing to see.

I would love to get this place more stars I think that is a great place for children to be able to go on play but I just found it to be very dirty and I dont necessarily blame that on the park I blame it on the community but they could have better playground equipment

Some of the best views of Harrisburg are from this park. My favorite time of day to pause here is late afternoon and sunset. There is a one way road that makes a full circuit around the park and 3 entrance/egress. I will cut through not just to save time, but for the views. An extra 10 seconds at a stop sign, looking across the city I grew up in, always brightens my day.

Saw a free concert by the Harrisburg Symphony on this particular night (4th of July). When they refurbished this park about 20 years ago, they did a great job, but I was worried about whether or not they had upkeep money budgeted. Apparently they did, because here it is 20 years later and this is still a great park. The band shell is a cool artdeco concrete dome shaped structure with special sound reflective arcs that focus the sound outwards. Has updated lights for night use too. Folks sit on the lawn and bring picnic dinners for these events. The main feature of the park is the Civil War museum at the top of the hill (hill is a city water reservoir) which boasts commanding views Northward of the Susquehanna river gap through First Mountain. I know what youre thinking - Is Harrisburg really a big civil war site? The answer to this doesnt matter too much since this is a great museum and, Harrisburg does have civil war history, like most Southern PA places. The park has a nice loop road for jogging, roller boarding and biking too.

I LIVE JUST ACROSS THE STREET AND EVERY CHANCE I GET I TAKE A STROLL OR PLAY SOME BASKETBALL. THE SUMMER TIME ACTIVITIES ARE AWESOME.

Its a big venue great for outdoor birthday parties and cookouts with a huge playground. Its very clean and safe. On occasions they have free jazz concerts and other community events provided by Harrisburg Park and Recreations.

Great place for a picnic

Beautiful park in the heart of Harrisburg PA. A place to hold public outdoor activities as we did this past weekend, 09-28-2019, celebrating recovery day for all in the area and beyond. Kudos to the organizers.

I like reservoir Park. Its a nice place to just sit and relax or play on the playground and they have basketball courts. I think they have tennis courts somewhere. They also have events including an outdoor movie night on July 26, 2019 at 7pm.

My mom used to take me to this park all the time. There were even day camps and activities that I would attend there. Its honestly not the same anymore. You have to watch your kids a lot more closely. Not that you didnt have to watch them before. The area isnt the best. But there is multiple places to park and areas to walk, relax or have a little picnic. Im just iffy about the area. So just keep a closer eye on your little ones.

Lovely views. Nice breezes and often cooler than the rest of the City in the summer. Lots of great events like Shakespeare in the Park and free concerts.

Well all of us grew up in Harrisburg so we all wear Reservoir Park where our mothers and fathers uncles and aunts sisters Brothers cousins used to take us and ride about the flat top to see who was there besides us last week I was up that way and realized at the building that you could have birthday parties in family reunions that was boarded up Im sure that they opened it up by although I wish that they kept the other amenities as far as a close bathroom and not those Porta parties and more drinking fountains I believe that they should have more drinking problems thats what

A nice place to go in day time for exercise. Pavilions to have a family cookout. Never will I be there when night falls. Love life to much.

Reservoir park is AMAZING and always will be the park is huge great 4 exercise, driver training, toddler park ,and a teen park multiple courts...come on lets goThe only downside is that its a bar across the street

Great park. Only issue is the community uses it as a short cut instead of driving around the park. Most dont follow the 15 mph speed limit even though there are people walking and walking their dogs

Rode by it while on the Greenbelt path in Harisburg. Highly recommend.

This was the spot to be at in the summer time as I was coming up. Beautiful park, with plenty of space to host BBQs or any event. Civil war museum sits at the top was the an incredible view of HBg and surrounding areas.

Love Gamut Theaters Shakespeare in the Park. Wish the parking was better.

You have to watch your kids closely. It is close to a bar with adults coming to sit in park.

Central harrisburg park. Been going here since I was a child. Theres basketball, tennis,playground area, picnic area, bandshell, and museum up here amongst other things.

Place were Harrisburg used to cook out, watch local, regional live bands, erc. Today they have more dramatic offerings etc. African fest ( more african anerican) . Used to have nice reggae Festival but things have toned down.
