We love coming to Wildwood and the Nature Center. There are so many fun things for the kids to explore and find. Bring your walking shoes and get outside!

Even though the center is closed due to COVID19 I can help but giving this place five stars.

Peaceful park, great verity of trails. The center is beautifully done, very interactive at kids level. Would love to come again, theres lots to see and do there.

Love this! Wildwood Park has beautiful bird watching, a nice walking path, and a great place to sit and have a picnic.

Great place (Wildwood Park, just north of Harrisburg PA). We walked the main loop which is about 2.5 miles. Saw an otter, a couple of great blue herons, a turtle, a coot, some mallards , etc. They have some fun natural art exhibits along the trail.

Awesome trails. Some right over the water on docks. Great for walking the dog or going for a run. And of course there are all the animals and aquatic life.

This is an outstanding place for children as well as adults. The building is beautiful both inside and outside. There are many interactive exhibits as well as a great bird watching area. Perfect for people new to nature or seasoned naturalists.

A great facility for learning about wildlife in the area. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

That place was so informative, educational and fun! Great for all ages, even the little ones who can play with wood in the back room! It is very well done an presented,the visit was short due to time planning but will definitely come back for more nature education!

Nice visitor center, has some gift shop type stuff along with a few kid-friendly indoor learning exhibits as well as a viewing area by the bird feeders.

One of the most peacefull places in this area. So convinient to get to.

We love visiting Wildwood Lake and the Olewine Nature Center and have been doing so a couple times a week for 11 or 12 years now. Little ones will love the Nature Center. The entire family will enjoy walking the boardwalks over the lake.

Was great for the family clean polite and hospitable we got to see numerous accounts of Wildlife four deer and these were the friendliest dear we have ever seen out in the wild they could almost beg for money they were that friendly my three children and myself bike the trail starting from the office headed towards the highway up to the other side back again Im 44 years old it took us 45 minutes to do the round trip my children wanted to do it again so we went back around and again it took us 45 minutes but when my ten-year-old took off by himself he came back in 18 minutes there are a lot of places to pull off the paved path and go explore closer to the water

Beautiful place to take the beasties for a walk whether your beasts are 2 or 4 legged. The only downfall is that there is a huge loud distribution center across the street and most of the plants are invasive species. The Art that is scattered throughout the park adds points of interest to your trek.

Really nice park and nature center just north of Harrisburg. Dont be put off by the industrial surrounding, the place is very nice, and the paths are great for walking, jogging, etc. Only downside is road noise from nearby rte 322.

On rainy days enjoy what the center has to offer with the bird observation area, hands on exploration exhibits or read about wildlife in their library. On sunny summer days enjoy a paved walk through the reserve or go off the beaten path and enjoy all that mother nature has to offer! Undoubtedly fun for all ages.

I had fun walking the trails and watching 2nd graders learn about PA animals and insects.

Beautiful, educational and child-friendly. The bird watching view area is very fun. The hikes around the area are absolutely lovely. This is a stunning natural treasure.

A wonderful place to get lost in nature with the added bonus of an indoor nature center thats great for kids. Its so peaceful and beautiful that youll forget that youre in the middle of a city. After my first visit Im sure that Ill be going back.

The wildwood park itself is a great escape from the bustle of Harrisburg. With miles of trails that are well main maintained it is a great place for a short stroll or a way to get in an hours long workout with great scenery the whole way. The olewine center itself has some nice resources about the area and I recommend stopping in if youre curious or plan to visit often, but it isnt a must see if you only have limited time in the park.

My grandkids love the hands on experiences

We only got to see the visitor center but what a gem of a place to take the kids! Hands on learning and a make believe underground tunnel to explore, bird watching room complete with binoculars and books. We are going back tomorrow to check out the trails.

Came with local friends, there was a childrens program today and parking was at a premium. Nice boardwalks for walking and exploring the natives of the wetlands. Local residents are lucky to have such a place for them to explore

Very nice place to visit with your family. Went there with a school field trip! Unorganized and could be a little bit cleaner at the center. Would definitely be returning for the Outdoor Experience period.

Terrific place for kids to walk around and learn hands on. Hours of operation are somewhat limited though so make sure you check to see if is open. But even when this is closed the trail is open for walking.

We had our grandsons 1 st birthday party there. Great place. Tails, adventure for all child level, bird, books, exhibition inside and out. Pleasantry of parking and close to everything.

Great city park. The Greenbelt cuts through, and provides a paved pathway, great for running and walking dogs. There’s also a lot of ruff trails through the woods.

Love watching birds out of the large picture window and taking long walks on the trails. The children love the activities and the small area full of books about nature. They have scheduled bird watching events, nature walks, etc. Check their calendar!!! Fun for all ages!!

I was there with friends as part of a route for a run/walk sponsored by the Humane League. Its a beautiful place to visit with numerous attractions.

Its a great place to go especially if you have kids.

The Nature Center is designed with kids in mind, however, we went with a group ranging from 41 to 72 years old. We had so much fun in the center, interacting with the displays and learning so much!

Always a wonderful walk with lots of wildlife to be seen and photographed! My favorite after work shake of the stress of the day place.
