We were very happy with our stay. Loved being directly across from the beach and absolutely loved the view from our balcony on the 3rd floor. The owners were incredibly kind and thoughtful. The owner surprised us with fresh scones for breakfast one morning and her son carried our bags up to our room on arrival. The room was a little tight for our family of four and the beds were a little too firm but otherwise it was perfect. We plan to visit again soon.

This place was absolutely fantastic! The owner Anne and her son Rick were extremely kind and welcoming! Cozy very clean rooms and Anne even brought us her home baked scones in the morning. I will be staying here any time I stay in Hampton.

Very nicely dated and quaint, awesomeness from the views standpoint. Book the higher room for a great ocean front view!! Id revisit if Im around this area again.. They tell me in summer season they require close to 200.00 and more for a night though, not sure if pay that much, but thats me. Its really comfortable!!

What a great gem! I can’t say enough about the owners. Family run and they treat you like family. They made our trip and I know we will be back. The view doesn’t hurt either.

This place is wonderful as far as a home feeling, it provides a atmosphere of relaxation and staff that are really helpful. The property is not as Modern as some might like but it has everything needed for a Hassle free stay. Its location is perfect for beachgoers and its Pet Friendly.

Very accommodating! We were stuck in Hampton with car troubles and Rick and Anne were very hospitable and turned our bad luck around. Very clean rooms and right across from the beach!

It is a family owned hotel they help you get your luggage up to your room and if you forget anything at home you you can borrow things as long as you return them

The most lovely Irish mother & son, Anna & Rick run The Windjammer, it is so charming. Plenty of room for kids to run around the property and play in the pool and right across the street from the beach. We will be back!!

It was amazing. Very “homey” and comfortable. The kids loved the pool.

Perhaps it was time of year and perhaps it was the cove at outbreak but the hotel was a little destitute and under a great deal of repair. It is actually a motel with very nice balconies facing the water, it tries to have a bed and breakfast kind of look in the hallways. But the beds are small and the mattresses are almost painful. Being on the second floor, the challenge was that there were children running up and down the stairs and slamming doors late into the night. Just kept my wife and I awake both nights. We believe the children were part of the ownership family that lives on site. If this were to be put into the star rating, it is a two star experience at best. I’m quite sure I will not be a repeat customer

What a beautiful place. Rooms are so clean and personable. Every room is different, and they have a warm homey feeling. It is pet friendly, and my cat so agreed. She says its purrrrfect.

This property was super cute! Friendly staff, excellent location if you want to be by the beach but away from the crowds.Rooms were clean, lots of amenities, and a comfortable place to call your “home away from home”.I got an oceanfront room and loved being able to sit out in the porch watching the sun & surf while having my morning tea. Beautiful way to start the day.

Very nice place, family owned and operated.Its quaint and not overpriced at all.Right on the waterfront, just north of the busy part of Hampton beach, but a quick ride down if you want to visit it, or you can go to the beach across the street.Nice pool and, backyard with a firepit.I was on the 3rd floor and had a great balcony. Definitely would recommend!

We really liked the Windjammer. The owner Rick and his family are great. The location is great. Walk to the beach and at least two cafes and a surf shop. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Quiet. It is rustic however. We were in a room, #38, with a shared bath. No issues but people did leave towels on the floor which is odd. There is no mixer in the sink. Again it was fine but just so you know. We were on the third floor so up two fairly long and steep narrow staircases one outside and one inside. Rick helped us get up the stairs with our luggage but we checked out early in the morning so we had to get down two sets of stairs with luggage and that was a little bit challenging. I am sure I could’ve called him to ask for help but we didn’t want to bother. It was fine but if you are handicapped in anyway including just elderly or have bad knees I would consider this before booking the hotel. All of that said we really enjoyed our stay. It was quintessentially quirky charming New England in a beautiful location. Rick is one of the nicest owners we’ve met and we travel extensively.

Nice little motel by the ocean for a good price! It has a nice pool, its a little small but TONS of beach chairs and very refreshing to take a quick dip then lounge by the pool. Its a little outdated inside the rooms, toilets are weirdly low and the sink/oven unit is outdated (but still works!) and the floor definitely isnt level, but theyve done an excellent job keeping it tidy and very clean! They are very welcoming and make the beds everyday, and rumors of scones tomorrow? Either way, DEFINITELY recommend this place

After a last minute decision to get away for the last weekend of the summer before the holiday. My other half found this place had a room open. So we got there late Friday night. The owners mother created us and checked us in. Super friendly, and gave us wam scones. The room was small. But for the price, and non existent room availability on the shore it did just fine. After all we just sleep and shower there and go out for the day. I do know they have bigger rooms with kitchenettes available. Nice yard to hang out in a couple of grills. I was really happy with this choice and would stay again! Again, super friendly and quiet! The beach is just across the the street! And the boardwalk a short drive, or nice walk away!

Rick and Ann are the most gracious hosts. They truly care about their guests and its plain to see in the upkeep and feel of their motel. They never stop working and they check in with their guests to ensure theyre enjoying their stay. Rick told me he sleeps in the winter. The accommodations are quaint and clean. It felt like I was walking into a room at my grandmothers house. And dont get me started on the deck!! What a view! I got to spend some alone time out there, sipping wine, watching the ocean. It was a perfect ending to my 40th birthday! Before we left, we were already making plans for our next stay. The Price cant be beat either - and its right ACROSS the street from the beach. Unbeatable location on North Beach in Hampton. Oh, and Anns biscuits cant be missed.

Best place we have ever stayed in the Hampton area. After not vacationing in Hampton for 2 years we were happy to be back. Rick always greets us and helps bring our luggage up to our favorite room (25). Anne is always running around working but takes the time to chat and offer any assistance. Sometimes she even bakes up some fresh scones to bring us in the morning. They treat you like family and make sure youre enjoying your time. We will be back next time we are in the Hampton area.

Great location with absolutely gorgeous sunrises. The owners meet and greet you. They are genuinely concerned about making your stay memorable. The 200 year old building is impeccably maintained and clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a magical place! This was our 4th consecutive year taking our summer family trip to Hampton beach.. AND our first time staying here with Rick and Anne. Ann is the sweetest person you will ever meet we already miss her and we only saw her for a short time. This stay was different than our usual stay as the hotel is about 2 miles up the coast from the main boardwalk but it was amazing the north beach was full of crabs and lobsters at night for our walks and a short drive to the left brought us to a quiet beautiful beach we had never seen before. I liked that it was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t like that my room shared a bathroom with another and was located in the hallway. I didn’t like that they did not serve breakfast.

This is a great historic old motel, and the owner, Rick, is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. We completely enjoyed our stay and highly reccomended checking in. THANKS RICK!! Hope to stop in again sometime.

The as Pouliot Family are amazing! Ann is a amazing women who has made the Windjammer the best hotel to stay at by far there is no comparison to other place around! They make you feel at home! Ann still manages to find time to cook her home made scones left in your rm in the morning! Cant wait to go back again real soon!

It’s a cute motel has kind of a bed and breakfast feel to the room. However we were in a room with a double bed which was tight for us.

This place is great, love the owners, they are lovelyBest room for 2 people is 21, or 29. Best room for 4 people is 19 or 30. I recommend going in early June before prices go up...October is also a great month to visit the Beach!

Best place to stay at Hampton beach run by the most fabulous family you will ever meet. Super clean and lovely rooms that come in various sizes for what ever your needs are. Sometimes I am here solo and other times with family. Great views and a quiet location.

Always a great stay. Rooms are cozy and comfortable, and most have ocean views. Panoramic views of the Atlantic from 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. Motel is located on the North Beach side so you have access to all area attractions without the noise, traffic and crowds that are associated with the Main beach section. I would give the Windjammer 10 stars if I could. I have been coming here for at least the last thirty years and the motel has never lost its charm.

Unfortunately this hotel advertised that it was pet friendly. This is not a true statement. I just phoned this hotel and my veteran son was denied a room because his service dog was larger than 20 lbs. The woman first said they were pet friendly and offered him a room. When she found out the dog weighted 70 lbs she then told me that ol sorry we are all booked up those nights, but we do not take any dogs over 20 lbs even if they are a veterans support animal. Thanks for calling and have a good evening.Very Disappointed U.S. Citizen - all propaganda regarding veterans, not the first time my family has experienced this type of behavior from businessmen. If you are a veteran you should seek other accommodations and not support this type of business.

My whole family, kids and animals all go. Im pretty sure the animals arent allowed inside. My dog fortunately loves just staying out back. It has a BIG yard with nice grass. Very family oriented place. Or even to take your wife or girlfriend away there, very romantic. The owners are absolutely very nice and welcoming. A must for anyone. Especially if youre sick of Hamptons crowds and madness.

We came into town late Saturday night for a show at the ballroom, we knew it wouldnt be the best idea to not get reservations ahead of time but well we like to just wing it sometimes. After driving around for an hour looking for an affordable available room for 3 people, 1 night. We found 1 place that would take us but it was $359..... geeeewizzz! At that point I was thinking if we played our cards right maybe we could get a free stay at the Hampton PD.I started calling hotels off the strip.... Still $250+. Placed a call to the Windjammer, Rich answered and assured us that he could provide us with a place to stay and even better it was within the budget. Rich met us in the office and got us in our room quickly. Rich helped us carry our stuff to the third floor, showed us around and told us to make ourselves at home.Our only concern was how were we going to get to and from the show?? No worries....Rich had us covered, he told us to just call the front desk and he would see that we got there and back safely.Pools open all night..... 2am after a Rock Concert?? Hell yes!!We have nothing bad to say about Rich and his wonderful establishment. We will be back and we will be telling our friends and family who enjoy stays at the beach all about Windjammers wonderful service.Thanks Rich!

This is my favorite place to stay on the beach..North Beach is much quieter than the main beach and the place is still close enough to walk downtown if you desire..You can watch spectacular sunrises over the ocean from their balconies and can even watch the sunset behind the motel at night, also viewable from the upper deck..The staff is ultra helpful, friendly and will even help you carry your luggage up to your room..Regardless of your needs, they will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable..This is a family owned business who really appreciates our business, so we are more than happy to support such great folks as Rick and Anne..We feel right at home there and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else on the beach..The rooms are extremely clean and decorated with lovely furnishings, grills are provided and you just cannot beat this place.

Great place to stay! Unbelievably clean rooms. They take great care of their guests and offer very comfortable accommodations. Beach is across the street and the front rooms have views of the ocean. You can walk next door to the surf shop or restaurant.

We got there and could smell rotting sea weed on the beach it piles up right in front of the hotel we had a group of 7 people so it was a little small for us.The owners are very nice they clean and bring clean towels every morning starting at 11am

Home sweet home, this place is our summer home for a week every summer and our families sometimes have all the second floor. It truly is a beautiful place but what makes it so special is the owners....they can never do enough for us.

Hotel was quaint and clean. Room was not as advertised ( shared bathroom which was not clear and I dont think even listed on Expedia) upon complaint I was told there wasnt much they could do. The young guy running the inn was patient but unaccomodating--- the same cant be said for the father who told me to SHUT UP and if you dont like it pack your stuff and get out. The worst customer service from the older innkeeper I have ever received in my life. Its sad because the hotel is cute, in a quiet part of town and has great beach access. But I dont go on vacation to be treated that way.

Clean great ocean view central to coast line of Massachusetts and Maine as well best kept secret to Northampton coast wouldnt stay anywhere else my wife and I love it here year after year spring and fall! !!!

Loved it they took us even without reservation and all the pet friendly rooms were full we were suppossed to stay down the road but nobody showed to check us in or answer their phone. The room was clean and comfy and had a great view of the ocean will definitely stay her in the future

My girlfriend and I, and my brother stayed the night, and it was Clean, no bugs, A.c. and coffee! They were very kind and showed interest into the visitors.

My sons reservation was wrong had to share bath for three notes rick n mom nice but father was rude told my daughter in law to pack up n leave no way to talk to guest. Also they paid for more expensive private bath but did not get any recopence for having to stay three nights in cheaper room. I dont no if I would stay again.

The best vacation spot in North Hampton. Hands down. Been coming here for 23 years and hope to come back for many more.

This was our 4th visit here and we simply love it! It is quiet and super clean. I need a good wifi connection to stay in touch with work and had no real issues. This is far enough removed that the craziness of Hampton Beach is not an issue, but not so far removed as unable to walk. We dont however go much further than North Beach itself. For a mid summer stay our prices were more than reasonable for a room with kitchenette.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Place had a relaxed feel. Was a minute walk from the ocean, and 5 minute drive from main strip on the beach.

I booked a room in March for a weekend trip in August. Expedia notified me that they had confirmed the reservation with the property. About two weeks before the trip the owner contacted me and told me that he would not be able to honor my reservation because they had double booked six rooms. He said, I do not have enough staff to handle the online reservations and the telephone reservations that we take. I wouldnt say it was a good experience. It was actually pretty bad. The way it was handled made it even worse.

Windjammer by the Sea is a great place to stay in Hampton Beach. Friendly, clean and relaxing.

The windjammer is such a hidden jem on north hampton beach. Each room is unique... and very clean which doesnt seem to be the normal at any lodging choice these days. The rooms ive stayed in have been nothing less than immaculate. They offer small quaint rooms with a shared bathroom at a savings but in this same bed and breakfast style location they have 2 bedroom apartment style rooms. The view from any of the front rooms is amazing. Not to mention your close enough to experience the hampton strip but far enough that you can wind down and enjoy peace and quiet with the ammenities of a pool or a 1 minute walk to the beach. There is even an ice cream shop, surf shop, a restaurant/bar, and a convenience store all within one minute walk

Meh....its decent at best. Not sure why people like it.
