There is so much to explore. Its a beautiful museum. I loved the 3-D IMAX Theater. Definitely set aside at least 3-4 hours for a visit so that you have time to watch an IMAX movie and tour the museum. This is definitely kid friendly environment and it has a great cafe and patio area to sit and eat a packed lunch. (There is also a fully functioning concession stand available.) However, I cant share much about the souvenir shop since I got so excited and forgot to visit it before I left.

Imax was great. Air n Space interesting, but many exhibits broken and not working, and closed off. Sun movie also great. If you are over 10 SKIP the Mars movie and just walk in the side door. Great spot for kids and something to do.

Used to go as a kid and LOVED IT. Now I have kids and they LOVE IT too!

Loved IMAX and the exhibits were great

IMAX 3D projector isnt working. We went there specifically to see Star Wars in IMAX 3-D and didnt realize it wasnt working until we got into the theatre. Nobody bothered to tell us even though its still advertised as 3D

In my opinion, if a movie was actually filmed in IMAX (especially if its also in 3D) this is the absolute best place to watch it. This screen is significantly larger than the IMAXs at the AMC theaters nearby, and the sound system is amazing. Unfortunately they havent been showing as many Hollywood movies lately, otherwise I would go there more often (and I live on the south side).

Amazing shows and a very helpful staff. If youre just spending an evening in town or passing through you should really check this place out!

Best IMAX theater in Hampton Roads, though now they typically only show normal movies when a new Star Wars comes out.

Has everything. Greatest place to visit.
