Drove down here from Williamsburg to see War with Grandpa. Was not disappointed, movie was great. Theater is clean, neat and orderly. Front counter staff friendly and courteous.

This theater had exactly what was up my alley as Ive been jonesing for the reclining seats that are at the AMC Rosemary square in West Palm Beach and the AMC pompano obviously in pompano Beach ️️The last movie I saw was impractical Jokers at pompano and was jonesing for the recliner experience so yes I traveled all the way down from Richmond to see a movie in style ️ The only one up here is a AMC dine in and well lets just put it this way It hadnt had much done to it since they bought the theater and its the only AMC in Richmond ️ mine could certainly use some improvements. This location looks either to be brand new or had been renovated hell one would ever know as it looks beautiful inside clean bathrooms clean lobby clean theater worth visiting. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the popcorn hot . If you have a chance stop in at this theater its a good one

We went on a Sunday at 11am, it was dead but the concession staff was attentive and very nice, everything was extremely clean, and the movie wasnt extremely loud like in a lot of theaters. I find sometimes the volume is so loud it takes away from the enjoyment of the movie- not here, perfect volume. Seat are comfortable and they are stadium seats that recline, the theater itself was clean with no foul odors and all around it was a solid 9/10. It would be a 10/10 but popcorn wasnt hot, which I hate.

It was great returning to the theaters. It was clean and well organize for social distancing. Just didnt like that I couldnt get a popcorn refill with my AMC perks.

My go-to theater. I live in Yorktown but will gladly take the 15+ minute drive to this location. Right off the interstate at such a location you dont have to whip across 4 lanes of traffic into the turn lane. Tickets are great price--I highly recommend the Stubs program, its free and you get cheap movies on Tuesdays--snacks and drinks are a tad high, but since theaters make the most money off of those, I get it. Drinks are huge. Staff is friendly and attentive.You get to pick your own seats (ahead of time, but still) and they recline. Very comfortable seats, lots of theaters, many of which are quite spacious. Even during extremely popular movies I dont think Ive been in a CROWDED theater here.

This is my reward place. Reclining seats. Fresh popcorn. It is clean. Staff is professional, nice. Everything you need for a great day at the cinema.

The prices are high like most theaters these days. The only difference is that this one is worth it. The staff are friendly, you pick your seats, the its super comfortable. Chairs recline and you have so much room. If you are going to spend a million dollars to go see a movie, you might as well go here and make it worth it!

Great during matinee. There were no lines and the process to get tickets, snacks, and seated (assigned seats beforehand...nice!) were efficient. Some of the soda machines needed to be restocked but there are 6...so no delay for me...probably not true when there is a large crowd.

This is a really nice establishment, the theater rooms are nice and the seats are comfort. The hall is clean the staff there is also courtesy. This theater has imax and dobly theater rooms which i like for those particular movies.

Have always found this theater a great place to see movies! Food is fresh and plenty of options. Price is a little on the high end unless youre able to catch a special. Theater floor clean. One of my favorite theaters to go to.

Nicely remodeled from the original when first opened. Mostly all except the IMAX theater has comfortable reclining seats with available seating assignments. The Dolby theater has large recliners that have a vibrating feature when there is large explosions to make the movie experience more exciting. Concessions is available only at one location in center of building with a wide assortments of food options. Ticket prices are in line with other AMC theaters. A very enjoyable experience from the older movie theaters.

Very nice theater. Bar is a nice touch and has good drinks. The sound system within the theater is nice and the atmosphere is energetic. The staff is happy and easy to talk to. The only complaints I have is the sound system in these is so loud that you hear the room beside you and one room we were in was pretty cold. Overall I loved it and highly recommend to movie goers. It is a little pricy but Im even considering there membership they offer! Great job!

Just want to say, Thank You, to AMC 24 for listening to their customers. They had stopped serving Mozzarella Sticks at their concession stands, but Finally brought them back! DONT EVER get rid of them again! They Are The BEST!!! Better then in any restaurant around!AMC is also Always clean, I including the restrooms!The ticket takers are Always polite & helpful!This is the Only Theater we go to. Love It!

I always enjoy AMC Hampton theatre. Its a good place to watch a movie. Of course food and drink are crazy expensive. But that is to be expected. Enjoyable experience.

My nieces and I went to the movie to seeMr. Rogers.This is one of the most inspiring movies about life and everyone should see it! The theatre was very clean and the personnel very pleasant! I love the reclining seat!

One of the nicest AMC theater in Hampton roads area. Convenient place right next to major interstate high way I-64. One of the largest capacity AMC theater in Virginia. There is also an amber parking for high peak movie watchers all year round.

Definitely has improved since the last time Ive been. Only issue I experienced was the bathrooms. Why is there only 1 sink working? Idk maybe check the sensors on the others, but it was definitely a line waiting for that 1 sink, bc it was the only consistent sink working. And I just wish people would understand while at the theater this is not your personal living room. Therefore please respect others around and keeps your full blown LOUD conversations to a minimum. Thanks.

Dont care for all the over-priced snacks. If youre ready to drop a hundo on a fun-filled outing for the family then its the best. Families on a budget beware of the price gouging.

Very nice theater. Clean and comfortable with your choice of seats that recline and have footrests. We got the gourmet popcorn (salted carmel and cheddar cheese). It came in a all bucket compared to a regular popcorn, but I guess it was gourmet.

Theater seats are soooooo comfortable! Sound is good. Be ready to spend a pretty penny for food though. I think there is a rewards system or something to save some $$$, but.... There is a #Veterans discount for times after 4 p.m. I believe.

Im partial to AMC theatres and this one is especially nice. Freshly popped popcorn and the huge variety of drink choices, plus a bar, and the extra comfortable seats make seeing movies here an awesome experience.

It took us over 20 minutes to get popcorn and soda. They only had 1 cashier running this morning and with the A list line taking priority the regular line barely moved. Im lucky the trailers went so long, but you need more people manning those registers.

Clean theater with good seating. Very cool seats that can be adjusted to lean back and bring up a foot rest.Bar in the lobby.Full price cinima that up charges for any enhancement audio as well as visual. Your ticket price may creep up on you.

The theater was nice with comfortable reclining chairs and friendly staff willing to help and direct you to your seat. They had a decent assortment of refreshments at the well decorated concession stand. The only negative thing I would have to say I experienced was the price of all the beverages and snacks. I did enjoy my time there and I will definitely be going back in the near future!

Love this theater, very comfortable seating, movies are great, cashier was friendly and the cashier at the food area was friendly as well, just short on staff, stood on a long line for popcorn and a drink, as I have a disability and due to bone/blood cancer can not stand for long periods, which it was very difficult to wait so long. Other then that this is an awesome place.

Whats the deal with the reserved seat buyers taking most of the seating? You arrive at the ticket window and all the good seating is gone. So, you purchase a in your face seat. The movie starts and half the theatre is empty.

We arrived at 8:05 for an 8:35 movie and the bar is closed? Why even have one if youre going to close it that early? I expect high concession prices, but $5 for a 16 oz bottle of water and $8 for popcorn (not even a large) is ridiculous. The seats were nice, but this place reminds me why movie theaters are dying a slow death. Its just not worth the money. Ill stick with Cinema Cafe from here on out.

Oh this place is amazing. The movie theater is savvy and comfortable. The seats are so comfy they recline all the way back. The food blew my mind. The giant pretzel umm.Thier chicken sliders wow and they have a bar thats a win. I recommend highly.

When was the last time you went to this location? This location had made some upgrades to compete with movies theaters that have dinning service. They even added a bar. I like this better because the theater remains dark and you are not disturbed by the people ordering food. The seats are comfortable they are located right off of 64. Tip: if it is a popular movie, order tickets in advance.

I hadnt been to this movie theater in about 4 - 5 years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had updated the theater. They now have red leather recliners, a bar, and a new menu. I was very shocked at the food prices though. The food prices are is extremely expensive.

The experience was fantastic. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The customers service was amazing if i knew the name of the crew over the counter i would name them and give them some extreme compliments.

Clean. Love the stadium seating. So comfortable if you have a blanket you would probably fall asleep and miss the movie.

Overpriced food (way more than expected, $4 for a bottle of water ). Only had 2 people working concessions, took over 20 mins to get order. Saw 4 employees just standing around talking.

Clean, nice staff, good sound in the theater, but like most places now the drinks and food are way too expensive. Good news is you dont have to buy.

The seats were comfortable, the temperature good, the sound great. The popcorn was bad and the butter flavorless. I accept the highway robbery on concessions because I have to have popcorn but I expect it to be good for the price. Only 1 butter dispenser w worked and in the restroom one soap dispenser and one sink worked. 3 stars.

The AMC stubs program is a scam, Cinemarks program is so much better and half the price. Cinemark let’s you use your free tickets to bring friends and they roll over month to month. AMC doesn’t let you bring friends and it’s twice the price.

Nice theater but if you want food other than popcorn, nachos etc...be aware that you WILL miss all the previews bcuz the wait times for prepared food is guaranteed atleast a 25min wait. I had to get my money refunded back bcuz they left my food in the oven wayyyy over the time and it was dried out.

Terrible experience here. One would think that arriving 40 minutes before a movie would be enough time but not today. Im not sure if they had an outbreak or the flu and everyone called in sick but lets begin with the crazy long line out front with one window open?!? Seriously!?!! Then we get inside and there the VIP line and the regular people line and one person seeing both lines. Someone grew a customer service brain after a while and opened another line but at that point we were already late for our movie. The seats and actual theater were nice but the whole experience prior left much to be desired. This is my first negative review on any establishment and Im not one of those internet trolls that bash folks just because, but this was truly a fail in customer service. Do better AMC...Do better!

This place has come a long way. I came here in the 90s when it first opened, and theyve managed to remodel and keep it modern. Great seats, quality audio, and now even BEER! Go enjoy a movie, and bring your date!

Love AMC. There are recliners, and many movie choices in the AMC24. Its nice to have the bar and some food now. I go fairly often and I like the fact that you can usually find a show to see. The theater was updated a while ago and it is nice. I wish the food werent so expensive and that they would keep the main floors cleaner.

Over-priced like every theater for candy and such. Theaters are clean though and audio and video quality is tops. IMAX is worth it if you know its a film youll love.

First time at an AMC and I was really pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this theater! Id come back in a heartbeat.

I have not been there in a while. Went to a 325 showing of Angel has fallen. Movie theater 24. Small theater, always clean. Recliners are clean without being dirty. Kudos to cleanup crew. If I must vent, i hate later people getting to there seat late. Its just a pet pive of mine. Time management people,and considerations to people arrive on time. Sorry for the rant..

Dolby Atmos theater is amazing! Comfortable reclining seats, great variety of drink flavors, AMC rewards perks and friendly staff are why we drive an hour away to visit this theater, especially since we dont have Dolby Atmos in our area.

Terrible experience tonight at AMC. Filthy theater, nearly all dispensers out of order or empty from butter and drinks to bathroom stalls toilet paper being out. Candy left in seats, popcorn allover floor, napkins on floor and seats, just awful. Also rethinking bar option for a 4 hour movie as I truly nearly fought the loud rude chic beside me. Maybe bartender monitoring visits? IDK. She had LOTS of wine. Anyhow def a bad night. And at least second time Ive felt movie sound was not very loud. Old movie this time but back new movie last time. Movie experiences arent cheap at all so most of this is far from ok. I did overhear a staff member who was cleaning near butter and soda area complaining about people calling out and messing everyone up. Still not a great Sunday night movie time.

There are some very tiny theaters that they charge entirely to much money for. There are a couple of big theaters that are awesome, and we try to get these whenever possible. 3D movies are not our thing, so I cannot speak to these. Seating is fantastic, doing the reclining chairs is awesome.

I was really impressed with this theatre. Growing up in Hampton, I can honestly say this theatre has come a long way and has been upgraded nice. I like being able to order tickets ahead of time online and already have a seat. This menu has been upgraded too. Instead of the regular popcorn and candy, they also have pizza, chicken tenders, mazarella sticks, milkshakes, and fruit smoothies. I also like how the theatre is layed out too. There is a mini wall between each row so you dont feel like you are going to fall on the people down below you. The numbers for the seat or have a backlight so it is easy to see in a dim theatre. The bathroom was fairly clean as well. I would give it an A minus. The pictures dont do it justice for how CLEAN the bathroom was.NegativesThere is no tray to sit your food on. There is a drink holder but no tray. So youre going to have to hold on tight to your hot pizza in your lap. There are also no menu items for anyone that might be a vegan or a vegetarian or even just watching their weight. The amount of calories in the food.... lets just say this is a cheat day lol. Also, why are people still buying tickets outside? Every other place around here allows you to buy tickets inside at a counter or kiosk. They do have a counter inside but it appears to only be for the handicap. I cant imagine buying tickets outside in the winter time .Over review strong 4. Adding a tray and better menu items would make me come back more often.

Large 18 screen theater for a cornacupia of choices to see your favorite movie! A very large concession area with 2 drink fountain station and 2 Icee stations! 1 on each side! Nice variety of Icee flavors to choose from including MIB Black Cherry! Clean facility and Armed officers on the premises to handle any hooligans!

The service is always great and the selection of movies is usually fine. Unfortunately its apparent that the higher ups are putting less people on shift than they need. 6 people cannot do the same work as 10

The wide theater seats were very comfortable. Fantastic surround sound audio system. My only complaint is that the prices at the concession stand are too expensive. Moreover, its a shame that one has to take out a small loan for a bag of popcorn and for the tickets to enter the movie!!$$

Attend movies regularly here. Great theater and comfy seats but thats about it. The staff are unprofessional the majority of the time especially at night. I heard them shouting profanities among other things. The place needs a renovation or atleast some good maintenance. The bathrooms are not the cleanest. But if your Male expect almost any toilet to leak through the pipes when flushing or even the the majority of the sinks where leaking when turned on. Creating mold that is visible.

Absolutely love going to the movies here. I used to go the the Kiln Creek Regal because its closer, but decided to give AMC a shot about a year and a half ago and was very impressed.The staff are always helpful and friendly. Theaters are clean and the seats are so comfy! I havent tried any of the upscale food and beverage options, so cant comment on that, but I do love that they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines here. Popcorn is usually fairly fresh, even during midday showings.Also, if you enjoy this theater, do yourself a favor and sign up for the AMC Stubs program. The basic level is free, but their mid-tier Premier level is only about $15/year and comes with a lot of freebies and discounts. I dont go to the movies enough to comment on their top-tier A-List program, however.

Movie was great but it was very warm in the theater. They did offer you money back. Im sure theyll get it fixed

Dirty as heck and the movie starts in 10 minutes. We are still not allowed to be seated. Not usually this bad. Had a fire alarm once, few times the movie messed up, but overall good. Seems to be having a lot of issues lately. Every time we come something goes wrong. Hoping the let us in soon. :/

I have AMC A-List so I go here pretty regularly and Im going to ramble on with different criteria you might be looking for in a movie theater.I always feel safe here. Cleanliness of the lobby is very hit or miss and is not dependent on the day or time. Cleanliness of the theater itself is always very good, the floors are never sticky and chairs are clean. You get your moneys worth for the theater, picture, and sound quality. If youre not big on paying too much for food, then dont, they usually have $5 options that are small drink and soda. On big premiere nights (Star Wars, Avengers) the crew is very tactical on getting you food, tickets, and getting you to your seat in a timely manner. My only complaint with big premieres is that you run the risk of the movie not quite working properly, however their customer service desk is very accommodating. I would highly recommend going to this theater over any other in Hampton Roads.
