Jessica is amazing!! I’m IN LOVE with my new piercing! She was extremely professional & informative. She walked me through the whole thing & made me feel so comfortable especially when I was so nervous to get it done! She answered all my questions & really put me at ease. Ive come here before for a few of my piercings with Crystal (will still be back for more) but I recently got my first tattoo here at this shop as well. Sar gave me the most amazing first time experience here and explained the whole process to me. We worked on my design together and in the matter of a few hours I got this beautiful piece done on me. Its exactly how I imagined it but even better! Ill be going back for my shading in a few weeks and I cant wait. Super clean shop and welp doing their best through this covid pandemic(as the rest of us are). You will need to wait outside at the STOP as someone will have to take your temperature and sanitize those hands! LOVE LOVE LOVE! They are both personable and professional. Jessica and Justin have not only done a number of my piercings, but have also saved others. they are clean which is important anyway but especially now. you can ask all of your dumb questions and get a knowledgeable response. I feel very comfortable going to either of them and the shop carries quality jewelry as well even if you’re not getting a new piercing.

Blue horseshoe is the only place I go to and recommend for piercings. Jessica is absolutely amazing!!!! She makes the entire process a breeze. She is very educated and passionate about what she does and can answer any questions you may have. Just her personality alone will have you relaxed and ready to come back for another piercing. I decided to get both sides of my nose done, and Jessica was beyond amazing with keeping me relaxed. She took her time to make all the lines and make sure everything matched up to the other side! I ended up getting worked up about the piercings when they were finished (I forgot to eat that morning) and she accommodated a glucose tablet & water to help me feel myself again. 11/10 will recommend her for any piercings!!

Came in the shop with my friend to try and get a nice tattoo from someone and as soon as we walked in the door we felt racially profiled by a guy named Brandon Morris he did not give us good vibes as new customers coming to your business he quickly gave us weird looks like what are we doin there and his attitude wasnt that great we were looking to spend alot of money in this place but we will go someplace else where we feel appreciated.

Jessica is amazing!!! I took my 6yo to get her ears pierced and Jessica made her feel at ease!! She told her what to expect and told her everything as it was happening! I got my nose pierced there as well and it was super professional, quick and painless!!! When my youngest is ready for her ears to be pierced we will be back!!!

I went up here in March and wasnt able to get a piercing, but the lady was super helpful and even informed me on issues I wasnt aware of.I went yesterday to get a few piercings and the lady at the desk was once again super helpful and justin, the piercer, was amazing. Hes super nice, funny, and relatable. Hes my favorite piercer by far and I have/had 15 others.

I walked in roughly a week ago, when I first walked in I was met by the piercer who was super unprofessional. She was mad because she had to go to the dentist and she could of asked me to come back instead of giving me the worst customer service. She then pierced my nose with a stud twice the size of a standard stud ( Ive had my nose pierced once) and on top of that she did it crooked. I went to another shop to get it fixed because it was embarrassing having the biggest stud on my face. In order to fix it they had to put a second hole on my nose because the one I got here was so crooked the normal studs couldnt get through. I will NEVER recommend this place and I am super unhappy about every aspect of my trip and the fact I had to fork out even MORE money all because she was upset she had to go to the dentist. The worst part was every single shop I called said going here was my first mistake, wish I knew that before I wasted 31$ on a stud thats bigger then any piercing Ive ever seen and took up over half my nose and 9$ on a solution just to pay another 50$ for someone to do it the right way.

I LOVE Jessica! Got my 4th holes and cartilage done today and even thought it hurt like h3ll, she didnt laugh at all! Haha! She was so sweet and answered all of my silly questions. She even took extra steps when I had concerns about issues that dont even exist...anxiety at its finest! If you are going to get pierced, Jessica is THE woman to go to in Hampton Roads!

I just turned 16 and went to get my belly button pierced. Justin was extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable the entire time and gave me a play-by-play of how it would all happen. It didn’t hurt much and afterwards he gave me all of the care instructions and told me to call or come back at anytime if I needed help. He even pierced my sister, mother, and aunt at the same place seven years ago! The best piercer I’ve ever had by far!!

I got my nose pierced by Justin! It was a great experience. He was very clear on aftercare and walked me through each step. Very kind and patient... I was kinda a hot mess (I get a little queasy with blood lol) but he was cool! Staff are nice! Highly recommend!

I’ve been looking to come here for over two months how’s. I booked my appointment with @TitoAcosta. My appointment was for yesterday at noon. I texted him to confirm my appointment and he says you’re coming in at 5 I was like no you said to come in at noon. I even showed him the screen shot of our conversation. So then we had to reschedule. Then I sent him a message yesterday around 2pm about my friend and I getting tattoo s after the one he was supposed to do on Saturday. He left me on read even today no response so I told him I am going to another artist. Maybe it is just this artist but this was completely unprofessional and I guess he did not want to get paid.

Purchased replacement body jewelry. Waited outside, temp taken, and hands sanitized! Was helped with making purchase and jewelry replaced.

Future “customers” do not come here!!! I went in to get my nose & ear pierced & was confronted with rude customer service. Crystal was the only nice one.

Came here and was told I needed my Id, so I left and came back not even 30min later to get my Id. As I arrive back the lady from the front desk tells me that they aren’t doing any more piercings because the piercer supposedly “cracked her tooth” and was going to the “emergency dentists” after she finished piercing people. I then asked if I could set an appointment to come back and she replied “we have a high turnover.” Meanwhile on their website it says appointments are available. Everything she said out her mouth was bogus. I felt uncomfortable and will not be returning. Glad I didn’t waste my money there.

RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Came today to get a nose piercing. Was approached at the door by a rude and unprofessional female who says “she the only one that answer the phone.” Called ahead of time to question about the nose piercing and was never told the requirements for it. After experiencing the nastiness of the female that “only answers the phone” I would NEVER want any service from this establishment. A companies’ customer service represents their services, so I dodged trash today.

I got my first tattoo the other day and I am so glad I chose this facility! They where so nice, clean and doing a great job to keep everyone safe from Covid-19. I loved my experience and my tattoo!

I took my daughter to get her nose re-pierced. She previously went to the Blue Horseshoe before. When my daughter first went to get her nose piercing, the employee said that her birth certificate would be on file for her in case she came back again for another piercing. My daughter was given misinformed information. When she went back, the employee said they do not keep birth certificates on file. I just wish the policies and information was consistent.

Very quick and super friendly staff. They are very informative and will make sure you get your moneys worth and make it look good.

He is not only very thorough in his process, but he is extremely meticulous in insuring Everything stays clean and turns out great.He is also very personable and makes it a comfortable experience. You can tell he really loves his profession as well as people in general. We will definitely be back for more and will always refer people here. Our next step is a tattoo and this is where we will be doing it!

This place was overall nice. I just got a tattoo. The wait was somewhere around an hour. But no problem, they were moving quickly and what not. Pricing was fair. I paid 260.00 for a boat on my arm. But its a rather good size with nice shading and clean line work. Artist was doing what he could to work around my other tats and couldnt be more happy. Also. My wife got a piercing from there, and it was quick. Clean. And justin did a really good job. Will definitely be going back for more future work.

Got this boat piece done. The wait was around an hour. But its healing nicely. And was priced around 260. Fairly priced as well. Considering the artist did a bit extra for me. I have no complaints.

I reached out to Crystal on Instagram because I live in NC and I was planning a visit to see one of my friends and Crystal came highly recommended. I called the day I went in for general information especially what to do with COVID. The receptionist was extremely polite and informative. When I arrived she greeted me and then I went in and did my paperwork and she answered all my questions. Crystal came out to get me when she was ready and this beautiful woman is so cool! She explained everything to me in great detail, she demonstrated how the jewelry worked and she took sooo much time making sure my piercing was in the perfect place. Love this place everyone was really nice and super helpful. Mr Merritt was very professional and my septum piercing was 90% painless. He walked me through the whole process and I knew what he was doing every step of the way. He even talked to me about other piercings I was thinking about and gave me some very helpful and knowledgeable tips. Definitely coming back for more work.

Got a walk-in lope piercing here on a whim and it was fantastic. The piercer was professional and performed comprehensive cleaning process. Also they used threadless posts, which are safe and easy for cleaning. I’ve been to other shops for tattoo but I think this one should be the best; will come back for ink next time I travel here.

Left; BeforeRight; After (So far, still not finished yet)As you all know I did tons of research to find a great shop to get my half sleeve covered up with something better and to make it into a full sleeve, I ended up calling this shop and speaking to someone before they actually opened back up (due to Covid) and they recommend this one dude that I ended up messaging regarding this artwork, spoke for a few days and lined everything up to a date that worked best with him, sent him a deposit and booked a hotel for that entire weekend. Well the day of (Friday) he reached out to me saying that he wasn’t able to do it and that there are other artist at the shop that can take care of this for me, sooooo I then contacted the shop & informed them of everything that was going on (including the fact that I was already in route driving 4 1/2 hours away and booked a hotel room for the weekend) and they asked me to then send over all the pictures of my current tattoo and the idea of what I wanted and they would get right back to me. In a matter of maybe 20 minutes after speaking with someone the general manager (Andy) contacted me and apologized for everything, ended up telling me that he made arrangements for me to be seen by an even better artist (a manager of the shop) and even gave me an even better deal (Saving me a lot of $$$), my deposit covered by them & a free shirt. Just by getting me in at so last minute meant everything to me but they not only pulled strings for me but also hooked me up. Today we got the entire sleeve outline done, next in a few weeks we will be finishing the entire sleeve. Check out his lines, they are PERFECT! I am so beyond excited and impressed with this sleeve and can not wait for it to be completed!

After reading a lot of other great reviews about the piercers Blue Horseshoe, I finally decided to get my first nose piercing done here. I was pretty nervous about it but I had a really great experience here! Justin was my piercer and he was absolutely amazing! Very professional but laid back and he walked me through the whole process. Explained everything down to what to expect as far as pain level (I’m a big baby and it really was NOT a bad at all!). He walked me through the post-care routine and some of the things I may come across. The ladies who checked me in were good also. It’s a very laid back, relaxed atmosphere which is exactly what I needed considering how nervous I was. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back for any other piercings I plan to have done.

My partner and I recieved 1.5 hours tattoos at a very reasonable price. The tattoos artists (Brandon Morris for my partner and Paulie Thrasher for me) were on-point with timing, precision and attentive to our personalized service.This was my second visit to the Mercury Boulevard location with excellent service.

I came all the way from Florida, just to come get my noise pierced. I stayed in line over 15 mins in the sun. Then unprofessional young lady came out to take my temp. And you know what happened. Im so so disappointed. Please come up with a different method cause your suck!!!!!

We went as a group of 3 during walk in hours. All of our tattoos came out amazing. Rhino did all of them. He is a amazing artist and really makes you feel comfortable while doing his work. This was my second time going to this shop and I went to RHINO both times. The first time I went, I asked him for color and he said he would give me color, but did not do so. Also with this tattoo I can still feel it and you’re not suppose to feel a tattoo, so that means he went to deep into my skin. The second time I went, he was rude. It was like he was rushing me, which he was. The picture I showed him for my tattoo is definitely not what I got, I understand not copying other artists, but it has nothing that I really wanted. There is no detail and that’s what I asked for. Also my lines aren’t straight and I still have to get it shaded even more. Definitely not happy with it, so I definitely will not be going back.

Brandon is the best for tattoos and Chrystal is the way for piercings. I have a piercing on both side of my nose and my septum and it turned out great.

Paulie thrasher has done over 12 of my tattoos and this place will always be home for my body art. The artists all have a very great variety of their strengths and specialties. Line work, realism, etc hands down I recommend it to those who want to keep some money in their wallets while also getting exceptional artwork permanently on your body. It’s worth the drive

Justin was so nice and professional. I stopped in on a whim to inquire about a few specifically placed ear cartilage piercings for myself and a nose/nostril piercing for my daughter . We were greeted promptly by himself and the receptionist and after our initial consultation, we decided to just go for it and had our piercings done. The studio is quite spacious, nicely lit up and very clean. They have a vast selections of jewelry to choose from and their presentation on the product is quite impressive. Both of our piercings were preformed extremely well. Justin took the upmost care and time to not only ensure everything was placed to our liking, but done in a fashion that would comfort even the most strict of clinical nurses. A home run for sure! We definitely recommend Justin and the staff at Blue Horseshoe.

My daughter wanted to get her nose pierce so on Sunday we called to see how much it would cost the young lady told us it would be a 2hr wait that was at 5:30 so I told her we would come at 7:30 and we did when we pull up I said good dont see nobody sitting in there not a lot of cars in the parking lot but when we walked in the young lady tells us they not taking no more ppl cause it was to many ppl getting them ,I was confuse like where are they cause nobody was sitting out there may be they in some secret room

Awesome place! Will definitely be coming back for all my piercing needs and I wish I could get another tattoo because Id come back for that too. The piercer Justin was amazing. Before he even considered my bridge he did a full examination feeling in different spots making sure it could be done. He took his time and made sure he did everything precise and accurate. He was also extremely sanitary which is a 1000% plus for me. The atmosphere is chill and down to earth. The girl that greets you and takes care of your paper work and payment is awesome too and very welcoming. I wish I could remember or gotten her name. Either way I will be coming back and I will be taking my fiance here for his piercing and more tattoos. Theyre not snobby or pretentious like Body Bar in the Patrick Henry, everyone is chill.

Told us if we get there by 630 they could do my piercing got there at 615 after driving 45 minutes and they wouldn’t honor it told us they stopped doing piercings for the day really wasted our time and didn’t make any effort to fix it

What a wonderful experience got my nose pierced at age 60 a week ago I was talked through the whole experience everything that I needed to know I was told and it did not hurt no soreness no nothing Crystal is the best.

Two stars for a clean environment and friendly recption. My wife and I got matching tattoos which both turned out terribly. They were accurate, as to what we wanted but have both healed poorly, and looked wrinkled and faded. The healing process also took much longer than it should have for tattoos as simple and as small as what we got.

I got here for all my piercings and it doesnt matter if its Justin or the female piercer (Im so sorry I forgot her name but she pierced my nose last night and did an amazing job); they both are great at what they do, Justins done 2 lip piercings and an industrial on me and multiple others on my friends. The staff is always friendly and its a good atmosphere and clean studio. I highly recommend!

I have been to this shop in the past and I loved the service and that was the reason I went back.Went to get my tattoo today. Rhino was so rude to me. He acted as if I was bothering him. I had plans to get matching tattoos with my mother and sister and decided not to bring them to him. He even told me NOT LOOK AT HIM! Because he didnt liked being watched. If he hadnt already started my tattoo, I would have gotten up and left!

I have such great experiences every time I come here. James is my favorite tattoo artists but the others are just as good and entertaining! Good prices too!
