Nice to walk the path. Nothing else to do. Lots of trees down.
Off the beaten path nature center. This is basically a secluded nature walk on dirt paths through the woods. All that is missing are the bread crumbs left by Hansel and Gretel. I spotted deer hoof prints in a muddy section of path. (See photo and look closely) There are birds, wildflowers and other animal life, ESPECIALLY mosquitos. Unless you have spray you will be eaten alive if you visit on a hot muggy day following a period of rain. No facilities. Theres at least a couple of entry points. Mine is to take Allen Street off E. Spring Valley Ave, one block west of Summit Avenue. Theres only a tiny sign on Spring Valley for the preserve so look closely.
Quiet.. short walk through woods. Nice place to take kids for nature hike. Family of deer live there, so nice experience with kids
Best body work and over-the top Quality paint jobs and color matching. Want the best, heres the place. You Get what you pay for... QUALITY!
Nice for a 20 minute walk. Not that big but nice. The kids had fun jumping over the stream.
The place is as the name suggests, piece of nature preserved. Has a wetland. Deer and some birds sighted.
An old-growth Oak-Beech forest surrounds forested wetlands with a 700-foot long vernal pool. Best access is from Fairmount Ave, Hackensack, and there is always ample street parking. Very passive dirt nature trails throughout. Lots of wildflowers and birds, and there are now too many deer.
Borgs Woods Nature Preserve is a heavily wooded 14.2-acre parcel that once was the backyard of the Borg family, owners of The Record of Hackensack. When the family wanted to develop the land and build townhouses, the opposition finally prevailed and the nature preserve was created in the late 1980s. Its open year-round. There is no gate or admission charge.
Pretty
Take the time enjoy a walk
The amount they showed me when I got the meat it wasnt the same and it cost a lot would never go back
Beautiful place for a walk in the spring, summer and fall.
Nice little walk in the suburbs.
Thankfully this place was saved from condominium development. Small patch of woods to explore by yourself or with little kids. A great spot to catch spring migration of warblers and other passerine birds.
Cozy place to take a walk. Great opportunity to appreciate nature in the suburbs of New Jersey. Bring some bread to feed the ducks in the creek
Small but nonetheless beautiful as well !
