This trail is absolutely beautiful! However, my boyfriend and i took our dog on an evening walk there, and we both got destroyed by mosquitos, and in the past 24 hours we have found 8 tics on our pup. So if you go please please check yourself and your pup thoroughly!! Also bring bug spray!
Love these trails! Never crowded
I love this park. But twice now Ive gone there and found ticks on myself. Make sure if yo8 go there to look over your body and wash your clothes when home.
Gorgeous paths with lovely wildflowers and much needed solicitude.
Nice park but the ticks are ridiculous definitely needs treated for ticks we wont be coming back until it is
A great place for a hike with your favorite critter! Partially in the open, partially in the woods, good elevation changes.
My wife and I took our 2 pugs and 8 year old nephew to Wagtail Trail on 7/14/19 at 10 am. We took the trail to the hollowed tree and explored the creek to the right. We went just past the large tree that fell across the creek that you have to squeeze through to get past. When we turned around there was a coyote blocking our path right in the nook we squeezed through. My wife picked the dogs up and I threw rocks until it backed off enough for us to get past but it followed us all the way back to the hollow tree. Please be aware of your surroundings and carry something to defend yourself and animals if it comes to it. I know that we were in its home and that they are EVERYWHERE. I dont want to harm any animal but if it were to have come at us something other than a rock would have made me feel a bit more safe.
Bring the bug spray and make sure your pup has had their flea and tick treatment! Youre walking on grass the whole time in between very tall grass. We took a look at the map before we started on the trail and thought it looked pretty easy. There arent any signs on the trail, it would be nice if there were. But it was a very peaceful walk, as long as you dont mind bugs.
Our favorite place to walk with our dog! Not crowded. Beautiful. Peaceful.
Nice long meandering walk.
Love this secluded gem for me and my pup - great trails and as open or wild as you want to get with all the options available.
Nice park for walking the dog. Plenty of trash cans around to encourage guests to help keep the place looking nice, too.
Just be cautious after a lot of rain
Ticks!
