Fun way to travel between Groton and New London. You have the option of getting off at Fort Trumbull to walk and explore, too. We saw the Coast Guard barque Eagle and the Leonard Lawson cutter on our way to the pier.

Its beautiful! Nice view and a nice area for picnic, plus the monument.. no swing set or playground equipment, but a beautiful spot!
