Great sand, good lifeguards, a nice snack bar nearby with hot foods as well as ice cream. The surf is very calm. There seems to be plenty of hermit crabs to be found, which keeps the kids entertained. (catch and release please!) Parking is $20 for the day. Well be back for sure.

Eastern Point Beach is amazing any time of year. When we were there a seal happened to wash up on the beach. Mystic Aquarium was there to make sure he was safe.

Great place to relax. It would be Great if Supreme Hot Dogs was the concessionaire there.

Nice beach.right at the point of Thames River. Ferry boats run back an forth all day can see fisher island an block island on nice days if your lucky u mite see a submarine go by...

Love Grotons City Beach - Eastern Point Beach. Beautiful place to enjoy.

While not the most luxurious of beaches, that doesnt deny its quality. Sometimes being simple is the way to enjoy things, and Groton Beach & City demonstrates that.

Love going to Eastern Point Beach. Lots of boat traffic to watch including submarines.

Its a beautiful beach it has wonderful waves

At night the moon shining across the water when sitting on the rocks is breathe taking, ideal for a relaxing end for a date. Daytime the beach is clean and there is a small fenced in area for the kids on the playground with swings ect. Food is available if you forgot to pack something during beach season hr. But it is going to cost you a few bucks to get in with a car I advise if you tend to go to the beach often get the beach pass.

Great place except for the angry seagull recording that plays too loud and is ignored by the seagulls.

Theres a play ground for kids, and swings for everyone. A basketball court, and a nice view of the sound and New London lighthouse.
