Dusty and dirty. They also are really lazy about their pricing. If THEIR systems arent working they will cut the price they offer you simply because of their faulty equipment. Better off selling your systems privately.

This place officially became my favorite store after this past weekend. Fun atmosphere, ton of collectibles, great video game selection and friendly staff. Also these folks have enough gundam models to keep me building for years. I love it and highly recommend anyone to drop by!

This is the ONLY game store I shop at, despite it being an hour away. You dont have to flip through endless copies of Madden to see if they have anything worth buying. They focus on quality and hard to find titles. Plus they feed my Gunpla addiction with a regularly updated stock. Plus the owners are super activity with their community and very friendly. I cannot recommend enough.

Always a great time when I come here. They have a huge selection and knowledgeable staff. Honestly the prices were a bit better than I find online, but you have to remember its a local business that needs money and is providing a great service by keeping old games around. If you want some older games or anything related to games definitely check this place out.

Easily the best place to buy and sell games. They sell just about anything you want from retro games to modern consoles and more. They give you more money than gamestop would and when selling games theyll even write down the amount of money that youll get on a sticky note which is great because the store itself is very small and it goes a long way towards your own privacy and the customer service in general is phenominal. They have a nice arcade in the back I havent actually sat down and played in it but if youre a first time visitor they let you take a little tour to see what games they have to offer. My only nitpick is that the music played in the store can get very loud sometimes but overall its a great experience.

Favorite place in Gboro. Their arcade is like no other and I easily would go there once a week for it, so many good fighters are there to play. And theyre like the only place Ive seen to have gatchapon! Everyone who works there is knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely nice. Love it there

This place is game heaven and i make an emphasis on GAME HEAVEN. They have everything to satisfy your gaming pleasure. Cant wait to get a super Nintendo to add to my collection.

This is a very cool place, to window shop. Lots of their best things are diaplay only, without any others available for purchase. More to the point, most of their for sale items (figures) dont have any models for view either. But the store does have its positives, just not really for a figure collector such as myself.

Great variety of retro games, most things are retail price for what you would find online, but you get to see it in person first. Also there is an arcade in back. Its a tight space but well used.

First time going there I didnt know what to expect. Not only did I get more than I bargained for and then some, but they continued to surprise me at every turn.They sell retro games of course but they also sell so much more. Me and my girlfriend had an amazing experience shopping for custom lost ark dice and pop capsules. The arcade was definitely worth the price as well. I walked out with a silent hill vinyl among other things. They even sell tube telivisions for cryin out loud! We made the trip from Raleigh to get there and I know Im going to make the trip again.Overall the only complaint I have which I know they cant control is there isnt enough parking spaces. But that did not effect my experience there.Great store and great service!

Best shop in North Carolina! Their inventory is overwhelming. Youll have to spend a whole day on there to take it all in. The arcade in the back is super fun and different and an insane bargain: $6 for the entire day?! The staff is lovely and they have good snacks.

Lost Ark Video Games is a home away from home for fans of video games, anime, gunpla, gashapon, and many more aspects of otaku and geeky culture. Ive been a loyal patron to Lost Ark for a few years and have had exceptionally positive experiences with the selection at the store, the owner, the employees, other arcade goers, and the community involved.When I found Lost Ark, I was shocked to find such an impressive store thriving in North Carolina. My familiarity with a selection like theirs is usually only found at anime conventions or in larger cities, and although I immediately fell in love with this store itself, my interactions with the owner and employees helped me truly cherish it more and more. It means a lot to me and the people in my life to have local access to such a wide variety of new and old games, gashapon, ichiban kuji lotteries, board games, gunpla, and other misc. goods. However, it means more than consumerism alone can really carry, knowing that my support is going to such incredibly good people.I do more shopping than trading, but Id like to share that I felt my trades were absolutely fair in price and value and that I received more than I would have with immediate competitors. Additionally, their arcade is an absolutely magical place. The games occasionally rotate, keeping the selection fresh for frequent players, but theres a little something for everyone. I personally enjoy Jubeat and Initial D the most. Check them out if youre nearby! You also get more bang for your buck in terms of play access and time youre allowed to spend playing per day, than if you went to... other nearby places.Anyhoot. Im just a person who started shopping here a few years ago to fill my Kirby addiction (by the way, so much Kirby!), and wandering in was one of the best things I could have done for myself. As a gun owner, ccw card holder and ex-cop. Placing that sign there has no legal bearing. It must be placed on the entrance of the store clearly visible for all to see. Legally speaking i could carry inside your store and i have done nothing wrong because of where you placed your sign. I am a strong 2nd amendment supporter...but i also support your right as a business owner to not want firearms in your store. That is your right.I wish you the best of luck.Gabriel

Store is probably fantastic to look around, games selection is likely wonderful. Arcade in the back sounds delightful and by the sounds of it you can play as long as you like once youve paid for entry. You may find some games cheaper online, I couldnt say as Ive never actually been into the store.The main area of the store you should check out is the negative review responses on Google reviews. The owner has a great sense of humour and an excellent class of bad customer trolling, I highly recommend it if you have five minutes to spare.Keep up the good work and dont let the X-Chickens get you down, I hope I can visit Greensboro sometime (although its quite a way for me from the UK) so I can check out the physical store myself and see if it matches up to the excellent online presence

Im not super into arcades or gaming, but my boyfriend is so I went with him. I had a lot of fun here, and I like that the arcade was only 6 dollars. This place felt magical like I was a kid again. Will be back.

One of my fav stores in Greensboro! A varied selection of games and related merchandise not easy to find anywhere else physically. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their merchandise. The arcade in the back also has a great selection of rhythm and classic arcade games to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t yet!

Weve visited Lost Ark a few times when in Greensboro. They have a great selection and friendly staff. I participated in an Ichiban Kuji, which was fun. They also have an arcade in back that we want to check out sometime.

Love the selection of old and new games. The board game selection is added bonus and all the Japanese and anime trinkets are perfect for gifts. Arcade in the back is cute and fun. Great staff every time I visit.

They have really rare games and neat collectibles to look at but the games in the store but they are 20 to 30 percent more than Ebay. The staff is friendly and the arcade in the back is great! Plus they have a good selection of candy.

During a pandemic they opened at 1pm today , there was NO social distancing, people were not wearing masks nor were the employees!! There was no limitation on the amount of people allowed in the store !! Very dangerous to be in that store !!! People were literally so close to people and bumping in to each other in such a small space!! They need to limit the amount of people they allow in the store at one time and people need to be wearing masks!! They are putting others at risk !!

In the shops rear, youll find an incredible arcade full of hard-to-find import games where the upfront payment of one low price allows all-day access and playability. The staff are always friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their product. Great experiences here, each and every time. Highly recommended!

I have recently been looking to build my Gamecube collection back up. Living in the Durham area, there arent any local options when it comes to retro gaming. I was recently in Greensboro for work, and came across Lost Ark. They had an amazing selection of retro games/systems! Anything from the original NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, Sega Genesis and more. The employee working was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although Greensboro is a bit out of the way for me, I will definitely make the drive back here!

Anyone who thinks the prices in this place are reasonable needs to do some research. Holy words I cant say. Rip you off buying things, then you see them on their shelf at at 3-5000% mark-up. Literally. Avoid unless you like the arcade in the back or hate your money.

Ive been visiting Lost Ark for years now ever since I moved to Greensboro, and its easily one of my favorite spots in the city! Whether Im looking to buy a game, find a new figure, or play rhythm games in the arcade for hours, I know I can always go to Lost Ark for great finds and fantastic customer service.

Overpaid for a PS2 and GTA Vice City ($15) to drive 30 minutes to find out dude gave me a GameCube power cord. I called em, told me I could only come all the way back to the store like I didnt already know that. Told him to F off after sarcastically telling me to have a good day after not resolving a thing or even trying to!

This place is a great hole in the wall arcade and video game store. They have games, consoles, and accessories for almost all major platforms, and their selection of retro goods is top notch. They also have blind boxes and a huge selection of gachapon. Their arcade features a lot of Japanese systems, including a lot of music and rhythm games. I would definitely go again.

Interesting idea. Game store was good. People behind the counter was very knowledgeable. The arcade was a bit odd. If you like Japanese games great, but my seventh grade boy was bored quicker than expected. Not bad, just odd games.

Amazing arcade and game store. It really puts in perspective the greed and blandness of other big name arcades around. Unlimited games all day for $6 (price may vary) including rare Japanese games such as Jubeat, SDVX, Groove Coaster, Mai Mai, Poppin Music, Initial D, House of the Dead, Project Diva, and more. Their game store has a great selection of used retro consoles and games.

Best arcade in NC! But if you’re gonna buy a used game or disc you may want to be living nearby or test it somehow while you’re at the arcade so it can be returned easily for a refund if it doesn’t play. I bought a (broken) used GC game from here and never drove 1.5 hours back to return it. After I returned home I looked at the disc closely and noticed two small check marks that were scratched into the disc that I didn’t notice while I was at the arcade. Those two small scratches caused the disc to be completely unreadable. Still, this arcade is a very nice place to take friends and family, they change the arcade games every month or so

I would give this 5 ️ but.. had an issue. Purchased an SNES game. Had issues with sound. Employee by the name of “Kenzi” Taller lady, dark hair, wore glasses tested the game and had no issues with the game. She tested it on an original SNES and Tub TV. I have a HD LED TV. Maybe it’s my TV? Other game I purchased works perfectly fine. Well I wanted to switch it out for a different game. And the game was purchased not even 24 hours. She got an attitude, and sarcastic. Told me that their policy is no exchange other than for the same thing. The guy from last night never mentioned that. He only stated, “If there’s any issues, come bring it back and we’ll take care of it”. I looked for their “policy” and didn’t see anything other than on the receipt. Stating, “Returns on defected items within 7 days” doesn’t say has to exchange for the same item. I own a business myself and if you have policy’s... make them fine print. You can’t make up policy’s on the fly and expect them to be effective.2 review and respond to the statement left from owner.It was made clear after the fact the game was exchanged. No sense in getting things twised. Be professional. I hardly even spoke other than asking about exchange and what was the store policy. Yes you did give me a in store credit for the over cost on the exchange. Much appreciated. Im just saying if you want to have good reviews.. be more professional is all and less attitude.

This is the best retro video games store Ive been to in the United States, and Ive been to a lot of them. They gave tons of rare games, imports, and even new stuff, all at reasonable prices.

They are always friendly and helpful. Even if you arent buying anything. They will answer questions, make suggestions, and talk about anything you want to know. Never had a bad time there.
