A great historic location, with access to the Dev Anza Trail. The lake and new ciengas are fast becoming one of the best birding locations in Pina County.
We went to their first holiday festival and had a nice time. The ranch has a couple of restored buildings which were decorated for the holidays but the main house is not restored yet. The history of the ranch is very interesting and well presented by displays and there were docents present to give added insight into life on the ranch. The holiday fest was small with only a couple of food vendors and a handful of craft vendors and a couple of artists. But what was there was good quality and hopefully it will become more popular over the coming years. A horse drawn wagon ride showed off the newly restored pond and was enjoyed by the kids. We stayed for many of the dancers and a mariachi band but left before the tree lighting. Overall it was a lovely few hours.
Not open due to Covid. Ranch pond is accessible.
By far the most uncomfortable stay of my life!! Dirty sheets!!! My sheets did not get change for our stay!!! Management is clearly not taking this pandemic serious!!!
Lovely place. Great for birds.
The property though............Breathtaking
Its very beautiful, very clean, wonderful informational place.
Very peaceful and relaxing. Good place to bird watch and think. Thursdays there is a Farmers Market and good food.
Very nice and interesting
Sorry, I know little about the Ranch and more about hiking the historic de Anza trail... which we love. A great place to start a 7ish-mile hike south to Mile Zero and back.
Canoa Ranch Resort is clean, professional, nice, and not expensive. Great weekend stay!
Quiet. Easy to get to.
Park development is still in the early stages. But, the setting, adjacent to the Santa Cruz River is spectacular. Large lake stocked with fish. The ranch headquarters, stables and corrals are very cool. Easy access from the I-19 freeway. Cant wait to visit again.
Nice place to visit...
Beautiful place!
Unique history to this place, and a birding hot spot thanks to a beautiful lake and numerous plantings.
This is a nice place to bring your dog and/or a picnic.
It is beautiful out here
Dec. 7, 1-7pm. Christmas boutique, wagon rides, tree lighting! Be there!
Very nice place
First time visiting..so much to explore...will be back
Wonderful grounds and so much history to absorb. Will return at the next opportunity.
Fasinating history of a southern Arizona family and their huge ranch. WELL DONE Pima County for keeping the builders out of a historic site and preserving the regions history. The volunteer docents, Vern, Bob as well as who I believe is the site manager are passionate, knowledgable and welcoming. Thank you and well done.
Wonderful facility, filled with history and charm. A treasure in our area.
Peaceful local.
Lovely Event today!
A great place to visit and to see the History of the west. This is a Pima County park with tours of the 4800 acre ranch and the Mexican/Spanish History of the development of the Southwest. In addition the Pima Park Volunteers and staff have tours about Juan Bautista de Anza and the the reconstruction of the adobe buildings and fencing on the Ranch. A new Lake was constructed in late 2017 and has attracted a lot of birds and birders. A great Park to visit in Green Valley.
Had a wonderful time, the staff is very informative, helpful and friendly. Was very cool to see our History. Thanks
Great authentic historic ranch
Great place to visit to learn of area history, see lush gardens, and a lake to walk around.
It is a very neat peice of history in southern Arizona. Well kept and even my kids enjoyed it
Outstanding. History comes alive.
Take a tour and walk through history; where explorers, missionaries, military and ranchers have walked and ridden horses for hundreds of years.
