It was very nice cheap cheap camping. Needs some grounds keeping but overall great place. 3 bucks a night to camp and 5 to dump.

Its a cool piece of history, but there is no access without making reservations. Even getting a simple walk to take pictures of the top (surface) area can be a challenge.

Really great place! Ruben, the park ranger was very helpful, kind and courteous! My tent blew over in one side when I was not there and him and another camper tied it up so it wouldnt get damaged any more! We couldnt be more pleased with that kindness from a stranger! Thank you Ruben wherever you may be!

Site is closed through the end of September 2019 (at the earliest) for construction (not a private party as some have complained about). Nice location with beautiful views, at a decommissioned atlas-E missile site. It will reopen when work is complete. Be patient.

This is a nice campground but the management has really gone downhill. We dont camp there at all anymore because $20 is a bit excessive for the amenities offered. Only one faucet where you can get drinking water. Recently my husband rode our motorcycle out there to check the availability and price of using the RV dump. It was open and price $5. Two days later when we drove out to use the dump; there was a sign posted on the road saying that the campground was closed for a private party and the dump was also closed. I dont know how you can have a private party for a COUNTY facility anyway. There must have been advance notice that they would be closing the place so there COULD have been a sign notifying the general public who rely on this place to dump our RV tanks of a pending closing for a private party. Who pays for the taxes that keep this place open?

Great views and nice campsites - we really enjoyed it. The only negative was a group of people partying until 2:00 AM on a Monday, but we may have just gotten unlucky.

Nice campground with lots of covered tables, grills, camp sites and even a playground for the kids. Perfect spot for an easy weekend getaway thats not too far from town. Running water and flush toilets too!

Situated on a slight rise, on a clear day one can look at three compass points (East excepted) and see into the distance. The bustle of the I-25 can seen from the quiet with your back up against a former ICBM site. Typically unoccupied, perfect for a quick meditative moment.

Just a quick drive thru. Looks like it has an Rv park, $20.00 per day. Call the number on the sign to arrange for the missle silo tour. Rv park had a decent size playground for the kids. Surrounded by a lot of farms, open land and big oil. Not too far from town.

I give this place 2 stars only because its 20 bucks per 5 nights which operates by a drop box and honor system. There is free water and a small fee to use their rv dump. The sites have no hookups themselves.However... In the matter of about 2 hours parked at this location, our class a had accumulated what I estimate to be around 600-800 flies from the cab windows left open. Ive never seen anything like it in my life. desperately seeking refuge from the militarized force of insectivores, we left the park. The ensuing battle we endured was long and bloody. i will never forget the day of the flies.
