Had our picnic under the pavilion and some kid kept driving through the pavilion with a motorized scooter. The noise and the smell of gasoline was enough to make anyone’s stomach turn. Not sure if the motorized vehicle should be on the walking/jogging paths either, he acted like he owned the park. All the dead grass was pretty ugly too.

This is a beautiful park! Theres a nice walking trail, an awesome veterans memorial where they have had veteran ceremonies before that were very heart warming. There are multiple bathrooms on either side of the pond, there are always lots of duck and geese for the kids to see. There are two playgrounds one for younger kids and one for older, multiple gazebos and plenty of benches along the way! Theres even a basketball court, something for everyone in the family!

1 mile sidewalk walkway makes it easy to judge your exercise regimen with some gradual incline from hills.. Beautiful pond/lake that people fish from. Playground and restrooms for children. Covered eating areas for cook outs that can be reserved for parties, unsure if there is a fee. Many people use the park to walk dogs, exercise and enjoy nature. Apparently dogs are not allowed but no one follows that rule.Memorial statues as well for fallen officers, very moving. Love the trees in Greeley!

It has a very good wide side walk so bikes, runners and anyone walking has plenty of room to get by each other. It has a lake with fish in it, Basketball court a play ground. Picnik tables bathrooms and plenty of shady spots to get out of the sun. The memorial is also very nice. Its a good park.

Visited the Bittersweet welding County Veterans Memorial today around 3pm. The US and Colorado flags were still at half mast. To my knowledge they should be raised after noon. Other than that the Memorial is very respectful to all services and the park is well kept.

Great venue for evening walks, picnics, taking the kids to the playground. Big grassy areas, well groomed, central location of restrooms. Large gazebo with grills easily handles 50 people. Memorial is moving to consider.

Id love to give this park a 5 star rating except for all of the geese. Boy! Do I hate birds. Its otherwise a terrific park and conveniently located. Beautiful. And just over all a great place to go alone, with a lover, or with your family or the dog. If you dont mind birds, come out and enjoy all that Bittersweet Park has to offer. You probably wont regret it.

One of the best parks Greeley has to offer. Kids love the playground and basketball courts, the monuments are well cared for, and the pond keeps the park filled with small wildlife. Youll probably see red-winged blackbirds, ducks, and rabbits as you stroll on the sidewalks that circle the length of the park. Plenty of places with shade or sun. This is a great place to relax, have a group picnic, and give the dog some exercise.

Truly a treasure of Greeley Colorado. For my entire life I have enjoyed walking around the path surrounding the lake so I may watch the geese. When I became a mother I found such a joy in sharing this spot with my own children as I remembered my mother sharing them with me. Also, I adore the veterans memorial they have. A peaceful place to walk and reflect.

Bittersweet is the largest park in Greeley and has the most to view and activities to do. All of the trees and the lake make it pretty. There are playgrounds, basketball courts, memorials, statues, pavilions, and plenty of open space for games of frisbee or catch, and of course, picnics. Also a great place to fly kites. Sidewalk goes all the way around.

Awesome park to take the kids to play on new equipment, feed the ducks, or just stroll around. Neighborhood nights made the event even better as they had free food for kids, a puppet show, ice cream, and several other things to entertain everyone before the main event of a movie on a big inflatable screen. Everyone was super nice and courteous, definitely would go again.

For Greeley parks, this sets a high bar! 1.5 mile paved loop around the park! Youll see families on bikes, joggers, dog walkers, etc.Bittersweet is a great, safe place to get some exercise and not worry about crossing any busy intersections. It features a basketball court, playground, and a picnic area. Its nestled against a quiet neighborhood on the west side which can extend your jogging route and still stay safe.Unfortunately, Greeley does not allow dogs inside the park, but can use the path the surrounds the park. I still gave it a 5-star because Greeley doesnt allow dogs in any public parks. Compared to Greeleys other parks, Bittersweet is a 5-star. Compared to other communities that allow dogs in parks, Im sure users would rate it lower.

Pretty park. Great walking path around, its about 1.2 miles around one time. Good play area especially for older kids and younger kids which is rare to find. There was is a pond, small lake as well as a memorial to soliders. Giving 4 stars because sometimes I question the part of town its in. Id like to think its super safe but dont think it is as much as it used to be.
