I was amazed by the amount of detail! I had seen the cab ride posted on YouTube, but it was much better in person! The coolest part was the loops, especially the high bridge (13 feet above the ground!) The guides were also very kind. I was even allowed to go into the staging area and the workshop. I went here from Colorado Springs but it was way worth it!

Awesome setup. Friendly staff. The amount of detail on every display is amazing. The caboose is very cool because you can enter it and get a slight glimpse at what it was like for the employees at the time. Quite a bit of other memorabilia on display as well. Very well done and worth every penny.

My toddler loves all kinds of trains, and this place was such a blast. He loved the big set up, was enthralled by the train car, and spent tons of time at the small little-kid train set up. The only drawback is that he wanted to touch literally ALL the things, which is a no-go for the model trains themselves (very understandably and reasonably) but there was plenty of other things for him to interact with that it wasnt an issue. The staff is very nice too, one of the docents was amused by the fact that my son brought his own trains and played with him; and the check in staff let me give them my credit card number for them to manually enter the transaction when it became clear Id forgotten my wallet after driving an hour to the place. Highly recommend!

In my mind, this is Greeleys greatest hidden experience and if you dont know about it you should definitely check it out. This is by far one of the best, and biggest model railroad displays I have ever seen, and I think its one of the biggest in the country. The experience alone, you just wont believe that this place even exists but go check it out for yourself and believe me you will not be disappointed

Im a railfan and Ive visited a LOT of railroad museums and model train displays. This is by far the best model train display I have ever seen. Most others always have a messy, work in progress look to them. This is the most complete, clean and well kept layout I have ever seen. Also they have a nice collection of railroad related artifacts in this large building thats right along side the Union Pacific mainline. Well worth a visit if you or your family have any interest in trains, transportation or great modeling!

Now I gotta say, when the idea of going to a model train museum was first introduced I was hesitant. I thought model trains were for the children yesteryear. Boy howdy I was wrong. One of the best places I have taken my kids. They absolutely loved it. I really loved it because it reminded me of my Grandfather who also had a model train village the size of his 2 car garage. Something you have to see for yourself. Even if your not a train fanatic this museum will definitely change your mind about that. Great little guft shop, prices are reasonable for entry, and the caboose inside is a real antique caboose that you can get into to see how they travelled. Highly recommended!

As both a truck driver and train fanatic I was excited to come see this museum first hand! When you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly faces. There’s a small gift shop to the left surrounded by RR memorabilia and a small layout towards the restrooms on your right. The shear size of the main fixture of the space(the HO layout) is mind blowing. I could get lost here for days! A very pleasant experience, one of the volunteers took me behind the scenes to the staging yard and every one here was super friendly l. If you are in the Denver area on a weekend and looking for something to do, please, please go see this amazing museum!

From the beautiful models to the I Spy game and the full scale working train signals, train Bell and whistle, there is something to make everyone feel like a kid again. An impressive accomplishment. This is a really big layout with so much to see! No matter which segment of the layout you looked at, there were details to capture your imagination. Really, really cool, and the artifacts and history on display were super informative.Only drawback was that it felt as though Id walked into a private club. There were plenty of older fellows walking the room in blue vests, but it was tough to break in with questions. Twice I tried, but felt like an interruption and gave up. Felt like this was a missed opportunity to further interest in the subject, and the museum at large.Still - the artwork and dedication involved here is something worth seeing.
