Very quaint and historic! Love that they show old school movies and have live performances as well. Its an enjoyable experience for an evening with a classic. It is an older theater, as in comfort was not the priority it has become at a typical cinemark. But tickets to a movie are $6 and they have concessions available. Its worth a trip if you are looking for something to do in Grapevine for sure!

What a fun evening! A historical theater in the heart of Grapevine and a chance to see an old (or older) on the big screen. The snack bar and ushers are volunteers and very welcoming. Popcorn for $1-$3 and beverages cheap too! I am sorry I missed most of the Audrey Hepburn movie in September and glad I was able to see the last of the series. October’s selection looks good and I have this at the top of my list for entertainment. The theater brings back memories of childhood movies and what that was like before megaplexes. Both are great and sometimes you just need a little nostalgia.

The Palace Arts center is a beautifully restored theater in Downtown Grapevine. My only complaint is The Palace Thearters sound and protection could be better. I have see a lot worse though, and I understand you have to work with what you have. I always have a blast when Im watching films there. Getting to hang out in Downtown Grapevine is always fun. Thank you Palace Arts Center for being amazing.

They play a lot of great classic movies here on the weekends, and if you eat at a local restaurant that same day and show them that receipt, you get a free small popcorn, which is neat. We saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and we had a great time. Tickets are only $6 a person, so you cant beat the price. The building is full of history and they talk about it before every movie. Its a great idea for date night.

We held several private events here during our annual workshop recently and were very pleased with the venue and the service. It was very convenient that the nearby Grapevine Convention Center (where the bulk of our workshop was held) can also offer this location for more upscale activities. We held our opening reception in the lovely Lancaster side of the building and had a special Texas movie night later in the workshop. Frank, the onsite event manager, was excellent and entertained everyone with his knowledge of the historic aspects of the building. The movie technician was also very helpful and friendly. Food was good and promptly served and everything was set up as specified when we arrived. I would certainly consider holding a special event here again. Very affordable considering the location.

Gorgeous building, on historic Grapevines main Street and love that they play old movies. The frustrating thing, is the people that are die hard fans of older movies are loud and obnoxious. Not the theatre staffs fault but they also dont do anything to quiet or control the noise level at all whatsoever. During the most recent Star Wars New hope the die hard fans clapped and screamed for every single actor introduction. They booed for Darth Vader and made noise any scene they liked or disliked. It was so difficult to hear anything which made this not enjoyable. For Monty Python it was somewhat better but still the old movies draw out people who have no sense of respect for others trying to watch the movie. This unfortunately means it is going to be hard to return, which sucks because I live right down the road and love the theatre. But no point going if you cant hear and dont love screaming like the obnoxious groups that attend the movies. If you go, I recommend sitting downstairs for the best sound experience and hopefully you wont sit near the loud people.
