Mercury Head did an amazing job on my antique lion painting I had purchased at auction. They were able to even incorporate some of the original frame and enhanced and enlarged the overall painting with a custom made frame. The finished product was very impressive. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again for another project. Very pleased!

What a fantastic little gem in Grand Rapids! Owners are meticulous with their beautiful work. They also offer a “museum glass” option, which is seemingly difficult to find with most frame shops. If you are an artist and looking for prints of your work, Mercury Head has quality and reasonably priced options as well. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I had a fantastic experience at MercuryHead today. They are very knowledgeable and eager to help you get the best frame/backing for the piece. I was framing a non-traditional piece and they helped me figure out what I wanted and made it happen. And their pricing was amazing. I will definitely be going back for any future framing needs I have! Its a must-see! They also sell some gorgeous art and pottery inside the shop which makes for a fun atmosphere.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I didnt end up buying a frame (yet!) but I am looking forward to doing so soon. Some of the best service Ive ever gotten! I ordered several prints here for my senior show, and the print quality I received was absolutely amazing. Through every step of the process the staff bent over backwards to help me get the highest quality materials for the lowest possible price. They spent a lot of time explaining the pros and cons of different materials to me, and they never got impatient at my endless stream of questions. I would highly recommend them!

Mercury Head framers saved my ArtPrize 10 entry. I was given a brick wall to mount 30 paintings.We decided to go with exterior, heavy duty, industrial strength, brick sticking Velcro. Well...that failed! Laury and Ben of Mercury Head Framers came to the rescue, thank god everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. We used Mercury Head for our custom framing job. Even though it was a smaller job framing certificates, Ben treated us like valued customers. I commissioned them from across the country to make an odd-sized canvas print. Not only did they print it AND stretch it (most other places only do one of the two), but they got it done quickest (before Christmas, even!), and had very reasonable pricing! They were helpful every step of the way, and I could not recommend Mercuryhead more. Although they never told me where they came up with their name...

I was at a big box frame shop getting my vintage prints framed. I had a great coupon and wanted to save some money b/c my vintage prints were very large. I stayed long enough at big box to get a quote and then decided to get a 2nd opinion. Based on strong google reviews, I ended up at Mercury Head Gallery. Im so glad I did because I received awesome, personal service from Laury and Ben and in the end I got a gorgeous custom frame for a little bit less than a simple, black frame across town. Their taste is impeccable and their frame options were so far beyond anything the big box suggested. Anyway, it was a fun experience and they were amazing to work with - I will recommend them to everyone I can!

What a phenomenal experience!! Ben and Laury love what they do - and it shows in the meticulous care they give each job. I brought in an old portrait of my 2nd Great Grandfather James Pennington that I borrowed from the Cannonsburg Museum. The portrait shows James in his Civil War uniform (he fought with the 9th New York Cavalry). Ben captured the photo and Laury touched up the age spots of the original.Both Ben and Laury took the time to listen to the story of how I found the portrait and developed an interest in preserving this portrait for generations to come. They assisted me in picking out a quality frame, ordered name plates, and printed two copies for myself and my mother.I knew the finished product would look nice... but I never expected it to look this nice!! The finished product actually looks better than the original! Thank you Ben! Thank you Laury!I will be a repeat customer for certain.
