So glad I happened upon this trail which is 10 minutes from my home. Nice place to get away and get into nature. Trails go from 2 miles to 6 miles so you find a trail you can be happy with! You can hike or mountain bike and parking is free.

The yellow trail was well kept and wide; I recommend it. Other trails were not well marked, smaller, and covered in leaves. We got lost on the green trail. Also, no garbage cans at the parking lot or inside the park. Not great when you are walking dogs and have poop bags to dispose of. Maybe increase the price to 2$ and put in a garbage can!?

These trails to me are a great way to go into the swamp without sinking. At the begging of the trail there is a bmx bike or mountain bike or if you have an R/C truck like me.I really enjoy whats left to see of the outdoors, the business industry is slowly taking it away. Get out and enjoy this trail.

This is like walking through a forest, very quiet and natural, but be sure to bring bug spray. The red and blue trails had some tall grasses across the path so long pants might be better. It is very shady which is appreciated in the hot weather here.

Do not walk this trail in the Summer. If you Aren’t ducking your head from branches, you are fighting spider webs.. If you aren’t riding a bike make sure to bring bug spray because if you stop for a second to drink water you will be swarmed by tons of mosquitoes. I have walked many trails in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina, this one doesn’t seem to maintained nearly as well as the others. The trails are long and zig zag but you can see the zig zags next to you, almost like you are waiting in line at a roller coaster. The zig zags are simply to make the trails longer not for a nature reason.

Nice trail system that appears to be well maintained. There are several different routes to choose from and a few levels of difficulty. Nothing super challenging here. The ridge riding on the red/green loop is pretty fun. Trails are clearly marked, so its hard to get lost or off track. Easy to find and lots of parking. Only gave four stars because theres nothing outstanding about these trails. It is worth a visit.

Review №13

An honest review: if I’m being fair the quality of this trail is dependent on experience and what you are hoping it to be. If you want a causal dirt trail with occasional twists and roots then you will probably enjoy your time here. If you are looking for a pump track then this is not the place for you. The pump needs serious attention before it would be a fun ride. Zero hills in my experience here.So again, if you want a little more than casual riding then this trail is for you. I’m going to pass on coming back.

Great nature escape! Be careful though, I saw a copperhead snake on the trail just today. I was lucky enough to also see some fireflies around dusk!On previous days Ive been here, you can also spot some white tail deer!Pros:-Great greenery very conveniently located! I hope this continues to be preserved, its much appreciated!-Trails that are somewhat well-marked and maintained-$1 donation on the honor system.-Some little hills on some trails that gives some challenge.-Big enough, with enough trails that you can get either a short or long walk in.-Lots of animals lurking about! At dusk you have a chance to hear owls, see white tail deer, and see fireflies (saw them just today on the yellow trail).Cons:-People leave their trash everywhere on the trail (water bottles, dog poop bags, beer cans, wrappers, wipes, old pots and pans, cigarettes, etc). I sometimes try to pick it up when I see it. Please help!-Still close enough to civilization that you can hear traffic and city noises.-Lots of bugs during the summer.

We love hiking here! Several great trails. Not typically busy so a nice place to enjoy nature quietly. I sometimes see people walking dogs and on the weekends mountain bikes on the trails. Watch out for spiders and snakes. Trail was closed on Sept 21. Please remember to pay if you dont have a county park pass. $1 per person, just drop it in the slot beside the trail sign.

We went for an easy hike after Christmas that took about 45 minutes for the 1.75 mile loop. There are about 15 miles of trails throughout the woods. Lengths range from 1.75 and up. Trails are well marked. If it has rained recently, the path may be very wet but we managed to get around any big puddles. It is very bike friendly including a bank park.

Went there to bike. The ridge area and orange trail were ridable. Enjoyed those areas. Even though it hadnt rained for a few days, several areas of the red and yellow trail were very wet and muddy. If those trouble areas can be addressed, it will make for a much more enjoyable riding experience.

Not very technical but a fun MTB ride. Theres a small pump track near the trail head. All trails are a little rooty and technically similar. (I would rate them as easy) The Orange loop is only marginally more technical. A cross country bike will fit right in here.

Walked the yellow trail since were just starting. Posted 1.75 mi but pedometer measured it at 2.23. Good meandering trail. Approx. 6 mud holes to navigate. A biker could go right thru most except a couple of large ones. Enjoyed it and will work up to longer trails. Longer trails appear to be directional on different days of the week, i.e. M W F one direction, T Th Sat the opposite direction.

The longer trails could be marked a little better, and there needs to be some sort of warning when entering the orange trail. This is a a fun trail to walk! It is fairly easy, but there are a lot of roots so walkers should pay attention. This was my fourth time walking it.

Just tested these trails for the first time today. Great for various levels of skill and confidence. Nice winding trails keeps you on your toes. Parts of the trail have been washed out from rain and some flooding so the roots are numerous and a couple of sudden drops have become present. With a little work though these could be top notch again. Maybe a meetup with some volunteers could get a lot accomplished. Anyways good trails that are fun and enjoyable, not hardcore and not a snooze fest.
