A smaller park. Lots of trees place to swim. There r a couple of small beaches along the river Picnic tables and grills. Their picnic table r for big or small groups. And there is electricity at all the tables.Volleyball, tennis and basketball courts and horseshoes, kids playground.

Wow! Wish I had known about this years ago! Quiet, beautiful and well kept. We playton the playground and had a really pleasant afternoon. Cant wait to visit again!

Great little place place.Felt safe.Not crowded midday on a weekday.We waded in the river briefly,our sandals liked a little cleansing.And we saw minnows!!

Nice little park. River is slowed by boulders to make a small beach, pleasant place to sit by the river or fish (c&r only in roaring fork,band no license for me so no fishing) but it made a great spot to sit and have breakfast by the river.

Nice riverfront to hop in or load kayaks, tubes and duckys. Good shade, electric to charge phone. Big fish.

One of my favorite parks to take the kids. Bathrooms, playground, and an area to play in the river or fish. And lots of shade.

This is a very family friendly park. The improvements they made along the river a few years ago now makes the river very accessible. The bathrooms are modern and usually clean, but not always. The horseshoe pits could use an update. I think some more of the grassy area to the south can be better utilized.

Fun park with lots of slides and playground equipment for the kids. Also has horseshoe pits and picnic shelters. Very shady in the summer evenings. Very close to a fast river, though, without much fencing.

Beautiful place, lots of family friendly fun

We stopped for a picnic lunch on our drive between Black Canyon National Park and Boulder, and we found great picnic tables under a shelter near the river. The area was spotless, and the bathrooms were clean and fresh. Of course they had great water bottle refilling fountains (it is Colorado after all). The families enjoying the playground and dog walkers entertained us while we ate, and we strolled along the river after lunch and watched a few fishermen testing their fly casting skills. It was a perfect place to relax.

Nice park. Not much here, but worth a stop by.

Would be 5 stars but the bathrooms were still closed for winter on Apr 28. It was 70 degrees out.

Porta pots were disgusting

I look very pretty. There was a lot of snow so we werent able to enjoy it fully, it it was very nice looking.

Neat little park.

Beautiful park that is right on the Roaring Fork river. Good access to the river for fishing and getting your feet wet. Pets must be leashed. Up to date playground for the kids and nice shade and tables for a picnic. A walking trail follows the river and hooks up with a larger bike path on the opposite side of the river and gaining you access to downtown Glenwood Springs that is close by.

Ive been coming here since I was a wee pup! This is by far my favorite park! There is a place for horseshoes (byo horseshoes), playground, picnic area, bike path, river access, old historical jail, tall trees, beautiful views, and family oriented! Men and women bathrooms and water fountain available. Great place to entertain the whole family!

River is really high and running fast but so nice to enjoy the park on the river. Plenty of shade or sun, fun playground for kids. A really nice park to have lunch at.

This is a great place to host an event. Reservations are a must, but definitely well worth it. There are picnic tables all throughout the park. Tons of activities for young and old. Theres an area to get into the water and cool off. You can fish, play horseshoes, let the kids play at the playground. Its also a great place to allow the kids to just run around or take a walk.

Great Park right on the edge of the Colorado River very clean, well kept, with a playground. Some of the cleanest bathrooms Ive seen at a public facility, ever!

Beautiful little park. It looks boring from the road, but if you walk down the trail, it takes you to a gorgeous little grassy playground by the river, with steps leading to the water.

My fav park in Glenwood Springs. Lots of shade, fresh restrooms, on the river with small craft put in/take out ramp, pavilions to reserve, play ground, and horseshoe pits. It is small and very heavily used.

This is like that neighborhood park from the 1980s. Families having a catch, bbq cooking, kids playing ball, right on the banks of the Roaring Fork River.

Love the little turf tennis court and basketball nets....volleyball court. Kids playground...and horseshoes. It is also a great park to rent for a gathering of any sort.

A pleasant little park with access to the river via docks. A lot of traffic walks through here despite all the weddings and birthdays.

Veltus Park is a awesome place for playing horseshoes, fishing, barbecuing, letting the kiddos play on the playground or just relaxing by the Roaring Fork River. The park is very family and pet friendly, it is a great place to unwind.
