Easy hike to get up to it, has interesting history and offers a nice view
A very interesting and historical site. Another Old West character is buried nearby. The Glenwood Springs area is beautiful.
Nice little hike to the cemetary on top of a hill. Beautiful view on the way up of the town and mountains into the distance. There was a colorful tree with a bunch of ribbon on it. I am not sure what that was for but it seemed interesting.
It was a hike but cool
Such a cool and easy hike to get to the cemetery and see Doc Holidays Memorial - not gravesite. They dont actually know where in the cemetery his gravesite exists, so theyve placed this memorial here as a placeholder. Even so, the hike is worth the reward. The views are spectacular and the gravestones are extremely old. Feels like youre walking back in history a little bit as you imagine what it mustve looked like back in the day. I definitely recommend taking a detour and seeing this place if youre ever in Glenwood Springs!
Paying our respects to the gunslinger
Being from Arizona and always visiting Tombstone it was nice seeing where Doc Holliday is buried
My dog took a poo once we got the top and has been cursed by Doc Hollidays ghost ever since.Other than that though its an easy hike with a cool cemetary to end up in.
Given the actual location is unknown, the chosen plot is in a good location near the cemetarys flag pole with a nice view of a mountain side.
Great little hike. Not tooooo strenuous and really neat to see this place.
Good hike!
Lovely little cemetery and park on the edge of town with interesting history to boot.
