Absolutely love doing this hike when I need to lose weight. Such a nice hike especially when you hit it 3 or 4 times in one day.

Not quite sure what’s this tower for. It seems not to provide many helps on my cell phone signals. You will begin to get a good view once you reach the ridge. From here, you will see lots of yellow flowers on the small hills. Try to challenge these hills and it is worth it.

Didn’t know the name of this mountain but the radio tower attracts me naturally. It didn’t provide a great view though as the radio tower just block your view. But no worries, keep walking north and hiked up some small peaks, it will definitely worth it by the views and yellow flowers sea

One of my favorite hikes in Glendale. Nice steady incline the whole way, good workout. On clear days the views are beautiful! Great wide, well maintained fire road path up to the radio tower. Residential street parking, so you may have to park quite a bit from the trail head, look for the job parking signs

This is where youll find peace while you will be in ahh of the surroundings. Dear visitors please respect the environment and while enjoying your hike dont trash the nature with plastics, face masks (nowadays ), dog poop bags, and plastic cups and etc.. carry those and dump them in the nearest trash can. Thank you

I hike here almost every day. Steady inclination gives you very good workout. The great thing about this trail is that it is not very steep and it is long enough for a fat burning mode or a cardio, depending on you speed. Finally, there are fantastic views from the top and throughout the hike.

Amazing views from the top of the Verdugos - see DTLA and Glendale, the San Fernando Valley, and up into La Cañada. Be warned, the firebreak trail up from the Brand Library is wide and solid but very steep in places. I felt like I was on a ski slope in the summer. Here are some pics from near the top when you first hit the ridge.

Good solid hike. Roughly a mile of constant climb. Roughly 1,000 ft vertical in that distance. At least, thats what my phone said. Clean trails, friendly people. Parking lot gets full around 10 on weekends.

I hike up in the Verdugo mountains all the time. Great trails, wonderful views of the SF valley and downtown LA. The trails are easily accessible from Brand library. 1600 + elevation climb to the ridge top. Be careful to wear the appropriate footwear it can be very difficult descending - lots of loose sandy ground. I’ve seen many people scared coming down because you can fall very easily if you’re not careful. Hikers beware!
