Beautiful beautiful historic district.Streets full of gorgeous old houses and majestic oaks.

Extremely nice downtown on the water. Perfect blend of Restaurants set along the boardwalk by the water. Very picturesque. Has quickly become my familys favorite Oceanside destination.

Very quaint area to enjoy for a nice afternoon. The shop owners are pleasant and plenty of eateries to address every appetit in the family. We really enjoyed the live free music while sitting in the park. All visitors were practicing social distancing and wearing a mask when required. It was a great example of how we can open the country and control the virus by being considerate and careful.

I had the chance to visit this place in July 2019.I fell in love with this beautiful little town.This weekend when we were heading to Pawleys Island we passed near by and I wanted to stop again to show this amazing town to my roommate.It was as beautiful as I remembered. If you are around this area I must stop and go visit. It such a beautiful town with a lot of history.

Enjoyed downtown Georgetown- hadnt been there in 15 years and many more stores open. Fun to stroll through and walk along the water. A must do for an enjoyable visit.

Nice but a lot of the shops have closed for good. A lot of empty spots. Just doesn’t hit on much at all. There are a few shops but that is all. Need more shops downtown. Several ice cream places and restaurants that are good. River room is great!This downtown area has potential and needs to be brought back to life.

I spent my formative years in Georgetown - it was a wonderful place to grow up - and Im proud of the work the town has done to improve the downtown experience. I hope the businesses can keep things going despite the virus kerfuffle! The town has endured a lot, and I hope it continues to get better and better.

You hear a lot of horror stories about Georgetown, and what it use to be. And what the crime rate may be like since its close to myrtle. But honestly, I went here alone for a day trip, and there is no crime factor or feel here. It was lovely, very laid back and had a home town feel. Def a spot to hit for some shopping and food.

Absolutely gorgeous. Quaint with restaurants. Cute seeing a little sailboat school while we ate.

South Carolinas third oldest town. Pleasantly surprised at the amount of Revolutionary history in this little town. Definitely take a stroll on the Harbor Walk.

Had wonderful afternoon and home made ice cream.

Found this place while driving from Myrtle Beach to Charleston. A must stop when in the area. A lot of historic homes here. Definently walk the harbor walk and go to a local restaurant.

Absolutley beautiful. Great place to walk and shop. There are plenty of good healthy and non-healthy options for food.

Pretty place to visit. Going through Georgetown on 17 you would never know how pretty the downtown area is. Oak lined streets with historic homes surround a beautiful waterfront with several restaurants and shops.

Great for a day trip. Rover tour is a must. Dont go on a Sunday, stores are closed.

Went for a stroll through Georgetown historic district. Theres quite some nice houses, but do realise that some houses from the 1930s are considered historic...

Beautiful as always, even though very different during covid restrictions everyone was pleasant and enjoying walks on the harbor walk, most restaurants appear open with reduced seating

Seems like Pandemic hit this area hard. Beautiful, but lots of vacant buildings.

We drove through and stopped to walk around. It was a nice little downtown area. Some shops were open and there were quite a few restaurants. We didnt stop to eat, bit they looked good with nice views.

We have lived near Georgetown for nearly a year and had not taken the time to check out downtown or the Riverwalk and what a mistake this was a wonderful place to hang out one evening they still had some Christmas lights up at the Museum and we will absolutely go back during peak season and enjoy the special atmosphere

Love this place! There are many places to eat or snack. Theres the Purr and Pour. Its a cat cafe, and the staff is wonderful. Plenty of shopping and everyone is polite.

I always love visiting Georgetown when I come down to stay in Myrtle. I came down with my family and had lunch at Buzzs Roost today. The food was AMAZING and FRESH!!!! I love viewing the area.I will definitely be back.

Beautiful old town and dock boardwalk. Lots of restaurants and clean public restrooms. Enjoyed walking around and seeing some of the wooden boats that were already in place.

Free parking. Plenty of shopping & eating establishments

Georgetown is a great little small town! You can stroll along the riverfront, shop in its many stores or stop for a bite in one of the restaurants.

Very nice stop on way to Myrtle Beach.

Low key low country! Thinking of retiring here. Real estate is very reasonable, beautiful historic homes. Expensive Charleston nearby will change that. Great restaurants, waterfront, boutiques, friendly people, more diverse than we expected (happily)

I cant stand this town or this backward state. The only way Im coming back is by mistake and I dont make those kinds of mistakes. Good riddance, S.C. let me know when you enter the 21st century...or better yet, dont.

Great area for strolling and plenty of places to eat. The locals are very friendly and will gladly provide suggestions and/or directions. Check out the historic houses too.

Good stop on our way to Wilmington from Charleston. Some places to eat or have a coffee and shops.

Ate lunch at roost, always a good time, have a frozen drink. I like the burgers.

Amazing! Ive lived in Georgetown for the majority of my life and I am just getting around to being a tourist in my own city. The dock is filled with soo many I testing food eateries and very nice people. Its cool to look around at the boats and the fish swimming around in the water.

Nice sleepy little town! Plenty of good food and beautiful scenery to be had.

The last time we were in Georgetown was 45 years ago. This time around the historic district has been fully developed and who knew that Georgetown is the third oldest town in the state. Lots of interesting old brick buildings and art galleries. Nice places to eat with outdoor dining. Beautiful old homes, too.

Very interesting walk with the wife. Would love to have made it in time for the tour at Kaminski house. Many unique restaurants and shops.

Great historic town to visit. We happened upon a festival going on at the waterfront, alot of food abd nice shops.

I grew up here. Lots of local restaurants and history on the waterfront. Combined with the harborwalk makes for a great evening with family, a love interest, or friends.

Very interesting downtown that has a lot of parking. We ate in a wonderful restaurant that was on a waterway from behind. Nearby was a free maritime museum and the rice museum.

Love the small town with shops and lots of dinning choices.

This is a lovely boardwalk!! The restaurants along have little ramps to the boardwalk so you can come and go. There is a nice open grass area in the middle so kids can run around and benches to sit. But definitely remember to wear big spray as they were thick there by the water. The shops close at 7pm so make sure you go in plenty of time. I missed the shopping so cant speak too much for the shops in the area. Friends on the trip with us said City Trends was a place for great deals.

Always when i am in George town, it seems like magic. All of the older crowds seem to be in sync with each other no matter the race.
