Wonderful tour! They had already closed for the season (due to Covid) but had agreed to give us a private tour. Such nice people and a beautiful and interesting place to visit and learn about!

Impressive and well worth a road trip. Kentuckys Ward Hall is amazing and they are trying to restore it to what it once was. Tours are by pre determined dates and extremely cheap at only $7 per adult. Highly recommend checking out and listening to the tours guides in depth knowledge of the history of the home and the people that called it home.

Ive been going to Ward Hall once or twice a year with my daughter for the past five years, shes nine years old now and still loves every bit of the tour as do I. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and the grounds are beautiful- if you have even a small interest in history youll love this place, bring your friends too!

I am not a big history buff nor an I into architecture, but after driving past this place numerous times, decided to take a tour. What a fantastic attraction. Our docent, Ron, was amazing. Full of fun stories and interesting facts. I was surprised at how many kids were on our tour and they were fascinated by the stories Ron had to tell. A beautiful property that is just going to get better over time and the renovations continue. This mansion is massive and stunning. Words nor pictures cannot do it justice. Im looking forward to going back to see the gardens in full bloom and then again at Christmas for the candlelight tour.

The most fabulous Antebellum mansion in Kentucky and doubtlessly one of the best in the entire South. This place allows more accessibility from basement to attic than any house museum I have ever enjoyed anywhere in America and Europe. Best of all is that you can have a fantastic tour guide or simply wander through the place by yourself and absorb the history and amazing craftsmanship of the place. This is no less wonderful when you realize that all of the staff is completely composed of volunteers and no one draws a salary. They also make a tremendous effort to tell you not only the history of the Ward and Johnson families who built this amazing place but also that of the servants and the enslaved without whom this mansion could not have existed.

We Love Ward Hall it was a beautiful, educational, eye opening trip. We had a great guide Mr. Marshall he was so kind with my 8 children. He answered their questions, showed them stuff, bragged on how well behaved they were. He took his time and let me all have turns. The Hall even though under some construction was almost all open. Price was affordable especially for large families great value. I was worried my kids wouldnt enjoy it but when we left they couldnt stop talking about it. I ask them their favorite parts and they said all of it. We would definitely go again. Only recommendations would be end with gift shop and offer more to purchase.
