We opted for the Tasting Table to change things up and add some food to our day. It was cool to see the cellar and try different wines that were aging in barrels around us.The food and wine pairing was phenomenal. It included three cheeses, two meats, fresh bread, and a couple spreads. Our guide, Bob, encouraged us to try different combinations of food and wine to see what we like instead of just sticking with the suggested pairings. By the time we finished we were full but didn’t feel weighed down.Reservations are required for regular tastings as well as the table tour. If you’re able to get a spot, opt for the tasting table for a unique experience.

Only giving you 3 stars not based on wine tasting or food but because of the way we treated upon arrival. We heard of you from a friend and because we were in the area decided to come to your winery. We were not aware of the need for reservations and we were turned away rather rudely. We have been coming to wine country for years and are members of wine clubs and have never been treated this way. Maybe a thanks for stopping but we cannot accommodate you at this time. But, we have great wines and food so please stop back would have helped. It appears that your reviews speak for themselves so we probably will

Quite pricey for what you get. Simple cheese plate didnt have much on it and not worth it. They even didnt have forks at all. The wine tasting is pretty basic too. So many other wineries are way better. I wont come back.

Greed has sadly overtaken this otherwise lovely and very pleasant wine tasting experience. Packing the place to the gills to squeeze maximum pandemic profit while giving each reservation 40 minutes to taste; serving the wine in the 39th minute. It’s obvious the owners are trying to capitalize on a difficult situation by lining their pockets. In the words of a psychopathic president, “Sad!”

Very rude wait staff. We are vegetarians and orderd 2 cheese platters. We were not impressed with the platters. When I asked if they could substitute some of the meat with crackers, they basically told me -it is what it is. One of the managers said that they do not make substitutions for meat and they do not offer anything for people with dietary restrictions. She basically said you are lucky we removed the meat for you. However, when you make a reservation online, there is a box to fill out if you have any dietary restrictions. Would not recomend this place because they really were very rude. I was very disappointed with the staff and the service.Attached is a photo of our extra cheese on our plate.

Our sommelier Jeff was a blast to hang out with while trying one of my favorite wineries on the finger lakes. My favorites wines included their dry riesling and 2016 cab franc. We heard their food at ravinous table was really good but we didn’t get a chance to try it.

Properly, this should be 4.5 stars, but I am rounding up. Ravines has a nice little tasting facility, though the last half-mile getting there is tough for a small car. The pour-master appeared knowledgeable and even engaging. Their Rieslings tend to be rated highly and with good reason; every one that I tasted was excellent, no matter the wine characteristics (mineral, fruity, etc.). The Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer that I tasted were also fine. I do not recall tasting any reds so I cannot speak to those; one should be cautious about Finger Lakes reds but they are getting better. At any rate, the experience was enjoyable enough and the wine prices are quite reasonable. There is also a cafe on site, though I have not tried it. Definitely make this a stop when touring Lake Seneca wineries.

Ravines is one of the few Finger Lakes Wineries that has a food and wine pairing, and that gets them an extra star! They had a chocolate wine pairing and a flavored cheese pairing, and Dani and I tried both. The food was well paired to the wines suggested, and we highly recommend trying them both! Our wine server was new and had to rely on her notes, but she did a great job with information about the wines. They have an enclosed tasting room in an old barn with a view of the farm and vineyard.

Very fun afternoon at Ravines Wine Cellar. Shiv was very knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the red wines! The LPC was wonderful! We also enjoyed the Maxemillian and took some time to enjoy a delicious charcuterie board. They accommodated me by providing GF crackers, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend making a stop here to try their wines.

Very cool rustic atmosphere. They take their wines seriously here. We’ve been coming to the Finger Lakes for almost 10 years, and just added Ravines to the rotation. It’s not quite Hermann J. Weimer or Dr. Frank, but it’s definitely a top 5 winery in the entire Finger Lakes region.

Sounds like there are two different locations, if so that might explain some things. I had a great tasting, not sure which location I was at (it was in a large barn) the wines were all great. I am in the industry and I got to taste as many as I wanted. Crazy that they dont extend that courtesy to their wine club (maybe just a misinformed employee?). Staff was nice but not as knowledgeable as I was hoping for, I had a hard time getting answers to some basic questions. Also my discount was more than reasonable.

Superb wine and food at the Geneva Ravines! We enjoyed a tasting with the owners and winemakets, as well as the chef, with various Ravines wines paired with great food made largely with local ingredients. We especially enjoyed the Gewurstraminer - a flavorful, spicy white. For the reds, our favorite is the Maximillain - a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Our second favorite is the Petite Corporal. The setting in Geneva is a very large old barn that has been converted into various dining and tasting areas.Their first winery is on Kueka Lake - we are looking forward to visiting there soon!

The wines are no doubt exceptional (which is why I decided to join the Wine club). However, I had a MUCH better experience with the the serving staff at the Keuka Lake location last month. My husband and I were there on Saturday Feb 11, 2017. The woman who served us did not seem to care at all when I told her we were new wine club members. She was pretty adamant that I was not going to get more than 5 tastes. It was just weird that when we first got to the bar she asked if we would like to try the Riesling. We said sure. So then when it was time to pick our 5 choices she said more than once remember you already tried the riesling. I did not feel it was necessary to mark the Riesling on the paper but I think she was trying to make sure I didnt select an extra taste! Good grief! They were not so picky at the Keuka Lake location. My husband had to tell her THREE TIMES that he would have whatever I selected. She also nagged her co-worker (male) about not having a bottle of something ready for her. She was annoyed that she got to the end of a bottle and was blaming him for not having another bottle opened and ready. The last bit of annoyance was that my last taste was going to be the Brut but while she got busy with another couple we walked over to sample some of the delicious cheeses. Well apparently she poured my Brut and left it on the counter and when I got back she thought I already had the Brut and made me feel uncomfortable about asking her for it. Overall it was just an odd experience where we did not feel comfortable there. Next time we go we will most definitely go to a different server.
