It was very quiet. Grass had recently been mowed but big clumps were left behind. Still, pleasant place to picnic with a trail leading to the wooded river bank. The honeysuckle smelled lovely.

While not the most impressive at the outset, the real gem of these woods in the secret shrine along the creek. Built by Jesuit missionaries in the early 20th century, it is a beautiful triptych altar decorated with a mosaic of color stones. It is truly a special site despite the occasional graffiti

Great creek play area. Two easy walk trails. Not stroller friendly as trails are grass and dirt. Check out to cool land marks and old structures.

Very peaceful. Kind of overlooked park and a bit secluded. You have to take it on faith the path you walk on is the right one but either friction is beautiful. Choose the path to the right to get to the grotto and just keep going. Its worth the walk, and continuing past the grotto is serene and beautiful as well.

Its an overlooked park complete with shelter and bathroom. I wish there were more trees and wildflowers and that the unmowed areas received more attention. Its quickly becoming more and more overgrown with invasive species.

Small park between the Fox River and the Kane County govt center. Features a picnic shelter , natural grass area and riverside flora. The area is under used and is frequently empty of people. The south end of The area connects to the Fabyan Forest Preserve and walking path system by an ungroomed footpath while the north end contains a path that leads to the Fox River crossing and Geneva Island Park.
